No one expected Jessica Simpson to get pregnant again just seven months after the birth of her first child, daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson … well, except maybe her. Jessica Simpson on Ellen The 32-year-old singer turned fashion designer explained on Ellen today that “Apparently protection was just thrown out the window!” Apparently. Despite eschewing birth control, Simpson explained that it still caught her off guard: “We’re happy … But we were definitely extremely shocked.” It’s also been hard on their little girl. “Maxwell was our focus and then I was puking and lying on the couch,” she said, adding that the second time around as been tougher physically. “This pregnancy is the complete opposite. Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing. Like I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted.” “I had a lot of energy. This time around I’m like exhausted.” “Eating Tums. That’s my snack of choice.” The Weight Watchers spokeswoman says she makes healthy recipes a priority when it comes to eating, but sometimes Tums is all she can handle. At least her fiance, Eric Johnson , has her back. Her man approves of Simpson no matter what her size, she added. “I can gain as much weight and I will have a husband to be that loves me,” she said.

Aw, Biebs, what a great guy. After Justin Bieber showed up two hours late to a London show earlier this week, he rectified the situation by hitting the stage two whole minutes early last night. Bieber fans, if you’re counting, that means Justin owes you 118 minutes. Maybe he can spend it staring deeply into your eyes, on a sailboat, in a Greek harbor, at dusk. Just an idea. The 02, the gigs organizers, tweeted “We are happy to report that Justin Bieber made it on stage two minutes early this evening,” after the previous night meant many young fans had to leave the show before it was finished in order to get to bed on a school night. Bieber has been having some issues lately, after his 19th birthday was ruined by a fight between his entourage and nightclub security. Being 19 years old and the most famous person in the world can be tough, you know.

Justin Bieber unleashed an epic rant on Twitter today, fresh off criticism leveled at the singer for often not wearing a shirt and for showing up late to a concert in London over the weekend. “Rumors, rumors and more rumors,” the singer wrote this morning. “Nothing more nothing less. might talk about them 1 day. rt now im just gonna be positive. cant bring me down.” But Justin was far from finished. Likely referencing talk that he’s dating British pop star Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke , he continued to rant about the tabloids, false stories – and the only entity that can judge him. “As long as my family, friends, and fans r with me u can say whatever. we are all equal in God’s eyes & we have a responsibility to eachother, so make up stories about fake fines and make no mention of the positive…. “Or say when i came out of my show with my shirt off because after performing for 2 hours i might be sweaty i was going into a club (really?), or any girl i stand next to is my girl or that i dont care, or that i dont feel, or that a 19 year old going to a club in europe is wild. “”I understand it is part of the job to be judged…but judge me on the facts, judge me on the music, and be careful of the judgement u pass. but know this…im only judged by one power, and i serve him.” Finally, Bieber concluded: “So yeah I will continue being me. i will continue to serve, to perform, to care, to love, to smile, to dance, to play, to sing…and u are welcome to join, because i carry no hate. We got to much love for that. Im about the music.” he wrote, before finally concluding his social media outburst: “Now back to this music.” WOW. Sounds like JB could use a hug. Any takers out there?

Jon Stewart will be taking a break this summer from The Daily Show grind. In a surprise move, the host announced today that he is taking an 12-week break from the Comedy Central smash in order to make his directorial debut. He will go behind the camera for Rosewater , an adaptation of the book “Then They Came For Me: A Family’s Story Of Love, Captivity And Survival.” In Stewart’s absence, British correspondent John Oliver will sit in for eight weeks of new episodes. The film, meanwhile, will be based on Maziar Bahari’s nightmare of leaving London in June 2009 to cover Iran’s presidential elections. Leaving an expecting fiancee behind, the BBC journalist thought he would staying for a week – and instead spent the next 118 days in an Iran prison, brutally interrogated by a man he knew only by one thing: he smelled like Rosewater. Not exactly funny material for the comedian. But most definitely an important work.

Justin Bieber booed at a concert?!? Now we’ve heard everything. That’s what allegedly went down last night at London’s O2 Arena, according to multiple sources, as Justin was scheduled to take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Instead, he didn’t start his set until 10:30 p.m. Upon his arrival, Bieber heard anything but cat calls from this in attendance, as one summed up the evening on Twitter: “Lots of unhappy parents on a school night, but feel sorry for little kids crying because they missed half concert.” Bieber reportedly cut his set short due to time constraints, as well. This incident is the latest in what has been a tumultuous week for the singer. His 19th birthday was ruined when his entourage got into it with nightclub security and Olivia Wilde told Bieber to wear a shirt more often. But, hey, at least Bieber’s father got him a Bat Bike as a gift and at least Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke is around to make him feel better.
