Wait What?: PlayStation Will Not Be Showing Anything At E3 2019

On top of celebrating the PS4, the company dropped the bombshell that it would not have a presence at E3 2019. Wait a minute here. A Sony rep confirmed the surprising news to Polygon explaining that the company is looking for ways to “innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight gamers.” Per Polygon: “As the industry evolves, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to look for inventive opportunities to engage the community “PlayStation fans mean the world to us, and we always want to innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight gamers. As a result, we have decided not to participate in E3 in 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can’t wait to share our plans with you.” Sony and PlayStation’s absence will be the first time in the convention’s 24-year history. Sony wowed gamers back in May 1995 at the first ever E3 Conference when it announced the U.S. launch date and price for the first PlayStation console . Despite Sony’s surprising absence, Microsoft, Nintendo as well as publishers like Activision, Ubisoft, Take-Two and more are already committed to E3 2019. As you can imagine the speculation as to why Sony decided not to attend has gamers believing that the company will be holding its own conference and will possibly be dropping a major bomb in the form of the PS5. For the past couple of years, they have been bringing the excitement each year, so Sony’s absence is a gut punch for those looking forward to E3 2019. This is the second event PlayStation has canceled. The annual PlayStation Experience event the company holds at the beginning of December has been put on ice as well. Say what you want about Kim Kardashian. Really, go right ahead. Say she's desperate for attention. Say she lacks any kind of talent. Say she owes all her fortune and fame to Ray J's penis and Kris Jenner's managerial choices. But there's one thing you can't say: You can't say she doesn't have an adorable child. You can't even say that Kim isn't a dedicated and loving mother, as she's given every indication over the years that daughter North West and son Saint West mean the world to her. This is why we're calling for a moratorium on all Kim bashing, at least for today. Because today is a special day. It's North West's fourth birthday! In honor of the occasion, her famous mother has shared the video below. Jay Z’s Family Angry With Beyonce Is there trouble in Carter paradise? Rumors are swirling that Jay Z’s family is feeling shut out from Hov’s jet-set lifestyle. Apparently his immediate fam has already been seeing less and less of him and forming a bad taste in their mouths for Bey and her sister…but their Christmas season hopping all over the Eastern hemisphere was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Via StarMagazine : To the left, to the left! Sources tell Star that Jay Z’s clan is tired of Beyonce keeping the rapper from his family. “There are a lot of hurt feelings. His mother and siblings feel like they’ve been cast aside,” claims the insider, who says that Jay’s elevator debacle with Bey’s sister Solange only made things worse. “While they dealt with the fallout, Bey and Jay were forced to close ranks, and it didn’t include his family.” The last straw came this Christmas, when the couple ditched the in-laws for a holiday getaway to Thailand. “They were constantly posting photos online — it was heartbreaking to his family,” the source adds. “Showing off to fans clearly was more important to Jay than spending time with loved ones who used to mean the world to him. And they’re blaming her.” Hmmmm….you think Jay’s family has a reason to be aggravated or are they just a little bitter that their invites and plane tickets got lost in the mail?

Justin Bieber Upsets Fans, Shows Up Late for Concert

Justin Bieber booed at a concert?!? Now we’ve heard everything. That’s what allegedly went down last night at London’s O2 Arena, according to multiple sources, as Justin was scheduled to take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Instead, he didn’t start his set until 10:30 p.m. Upon his arrival, Bieber heard anything but cat calls from this in attendance, as one summed up the evening on Twitter: “Lots of unhappy parents on a school night, but feel sorry for little kids crying because they missed half concert.” Bieber reportedly cut his set short due to time constraints, as well. This incident is the latest in what has been a tumultuous week for the singer. His 19th birthday was ruined when his entourage got into it with nightclub security and Olivia Wilde told Bieber to wear a shirt more often. But, hey, at least Bieber’s father got him a Bat Bike as a gift and at least Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke is around to make him feel better.

Lindsay Lohan to Avoid Rehab AND Jail?!

Lindsay Lohan may be the luckiest petty criminal ever. A new report indicates that she may reach a plea deal that gets her out of jail AND rehab. Lohan, as you may have heard, already shot down a plea deal in her lying-to-cops / probation violating case because the D.A. insisted on rehab. Not the smartest move when her trial – currently scheduled for March 18 – could result in jail time, but it looks like she’s angling for an even better deal . First of all, there is NO WAY she’s going to trial represented by incompetent lawyer Mark Heller, so a plea bargain is going to be struck one way or another. It’s just a matter of how good it is, which brings us to the latest update. According to celebrity news sources, Heller might not be as bad as we thought: “A plea deal could be reached without Lindsay being forced into [rehab].” “Since she wasn’t arrested or charged with crimes related to drugs or alcohol a plea deal requiring her to go to rehab isn’t the only way a resolution can be reached.” “There are other possibilities including the options of Lohan undergoing extensive counseling and lengthy community service,” the source added. “Talks between Mark Heller, and the City Attorney’s office are ongoing and both sides are hopeful a plea deal can be reached soon that is mutually agreeable.” One wouldn’t think her prospects looked good, given her track record and unwillingness to accept responsibility, coupled with Mark Heller’s stupidity. Never test the limits of Lindsay Lohan ‘s luck, though. If Lohan were to be convicted of lying to law enforcement, or violating her probation (for her necklace thievery), she could be sent to jail for up to 245 days. If a rehab-free plea deal is actually on the table , that sounds like a remote possibility at this point. She has two weeks to work it out before trial, too. What do you think? Will she go to jail? Kellie Pickler Drummer Critically Injured in Car Crash; Singer Asks for Prayers

Kellie Pickler needs your prayers. The former American Idol finalist and upcoming Dancing with the Stars contestant has asked fans to keep Gregg Lohman in their thoughts, as the singer’s drummer was airlifted to a hospital Saturday following a four-car accident in Kentucky. “Gregg is not just my drummer, he is family,” Pickler wrote on Twitter and Facebook. “I believe in miracles and the power of prayer, so it would mean the world to me, my band, and Gregg’s family if you would please keep him in your prayers. Thank y’all so much.” The crash killed six people from the same family on Interstate 65, with another car not noticing that Lohman had slowed down in order to avoid the pile-up. According to CNN, that’s when the oncoming vehicle plowed into Lohman’s truck , forcing it to rear-end yet another car. Lohman has also performed with Lady Antebellum and SHeDAISY and is a percussion instructor at Tennessee State University. We will keep him in our thoughts.

Bully Re-Edited, Re-Released as PG-13 Movie

The producers of Bully and the Motion Picture Association of America agreed on a unique compromise to re-release the controversial documentary film as PG-13. The Weinstein Co., in response to its initial R ratingby the MPAA, made the unusual move of releasing the film in limited release without a rating at all. That gave each individual theater owner the decision whether to show the film or not, and potentially limited the scope of its release – all on principle. Bully Trailer Bully’s producers appealed the R rating and lost earlier this year in a move that could’ve derailed its effort to highlight the epidemic of adolescent bullying. The new version of the film deletes some obscenities, but in an interesting move, keeps a controversial scene on a bus in which the ‘F-bomb’ is lobbed. Three times at a bullied child, in fact. This is a major exception to MPAA rules; the group typically imposes an R rating on any film with more than two.

For reasons that defy comprehension, Kim Kardashian guest-hosted The Today Show this morning, sitting alongside Ann Curry and responding to a number of questions about her personal life. The most pressing at the moment, of course, being: Is she really dating Kanye West ? “Kanye and I have been friends for years,” Kim simply said, nailing the line given to her by her PR team. “You never know what the future holds.” Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Chatter on The Today Show Among other topics covered in the ratings stunt: What is her marital status? “We are still going through a divorce, so there’s not really much that I’m allowed to talk about. Out of respect for [ Kris Humphries ], I try not to talk about stuff involving him and regarding that situation.” Was the marriage a sham? Kim labeled such chatter “ridiculous” and blabbed: “I love really hard. I fall hard, and I followed my heart. When things don’t work out, that’s sometimes just how life is. What’s the point in dragging something out… when you know that it’s just not it for you?” How does she feel about PETA, following her recent flour bombing ? “It’s just a little odd to me that their whole message is non-violence towards animals yet they are violent towards humans… I have vintage furs that were my great-grandmothers that mean the world to me. I think it’s a personal choice, but I don’t think it’s okay to assault anybody.” Whatever. Let’s get back to Kim and Kanye: do you think they’ll last as a kouple?
