Chad Johnson: Released By Dolphins After Arrest!

Good news for Chad Johnson: He’s out of jail on $2,500 bond. Bad news: He’s also out of a job. About 24 hours after Chad Johnson’s arrest for domestic violence , the Miami Dolphins released the loquacious, mercurial six-time Pro Bowl receiver. Johnson was released from jail Sunday after his wife, Evelyn Lozada, accused him of head-butting her during an argument in front of their home. Chad, who married Basketball Wives star Evelyn in Miami on July 4, was officially charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor offense. Only five days earlier, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said Johnson’s roster spot could be in jeopardy if he didn’t temper his freewheeling behavior. This incident apparently was the final straw . Johnson, who recently changed his name back from Chad Ochocinco after four years with that absurd surname, was arrested on Saturday. Allegedly, Evelyn Lozada confronted him about a receipt she found in their car trunk for a box of condoms, police said, sparking an argument. With the two seated in the car, they began talking about the receipt and their marriage, and Chad allegedly got angry and head-butted his wife. Lozada ran to a neighbor’s house and called police. A responding officer said Lozada had a 3-inch cut on her forehead, according to reports, while Johnson did not have any visible marks or bruises. When questioned by police, the NFL star confirmed there had in fact been an argument over the receipt, but said his wife had head-butted him. Johnson has long been known for his unusual antics that annoyed his teammates as well as coaches, yet made him popular with many fans. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. He could also receive community service, probation or anger management classes. [Photo: WENN.com]

However, the alleged swirlin’ swimmer took to her Twitter to dispel the mounting tumors, insisting there is nothing romantic between the two: She continued… We know as soon Vanessa touched down all of Kobe’s extracurricular actives were done and wifey wasn’t playing that mess. Yeah, we believe these two were “friends” the same way Drake wishes he was friends with Aaliyah. Do better Kobe! Twitter

Blake Fielder-Civil: Comatose, on Life Support After Overdose!

Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil , is on life support and in a coma after suffering an alleged overdose on Friday, according to UK news reports. Blake, whose history of substance abuse is well documented, was found by his girlfriend, Sarah Aspin, choking in bed Friday and was rushed to a local hospital. He reportedly suffered multiple organ failure and has been placed on life support in a medically-induced coma in the West Yorkshire, England medical facility. Sarah Aspin claims Blake Fielder-Civil arrived home late on Thursday “slurring words and staggering,” and she feared that “he was on something.” Aspin and Blake have one 15-month-old son together. Fielder-Civil and Amy Winehouse, who were married for two years until 2009, had an turbulent and tabloid-dominated relationship, to put it mildly. In an out of jail for assault, burglary and firearm possession in recent years, Blake was widely considered to be the chanteuse’s chief enabler. Amy died in July 2011, a tragedy many believe could have been prevented had it not been for years of addiction aided and abetted by Blake. That’s nowhere on the mind of her family today, however. Amy’s father, Mitch, took to Twitter Thursday to express his concern over Fielder-Civil’s health, writing, “Terrible news about Blake this morning.” “Remember Amy loved him. Let’s pray for his recovery.”

Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas on Balance Beam: Did They Win Medals?

Americans Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas gave it their all on the balance beam at the London Olympics today. Did either come away with a medal? Find out below if you want to know before it airs tonight … As the final competitor of the event, Aly Raisman earned a bronze, but not until her score was adjusted amid controversy and she won a tie-breaker. The very same one that screwed her out of a bronze earlier in the Olympics, as fate would have it. So what the heck happened on the balance beam? Chinese gymnasts Deng Linlin and Sui Lu had posted scores of 15.6 and 15.5, virtually assuring themselves of silver and gold medals, respectively. Romania’s Catalina Ponor was third at 15.066, a score Aly Raisman had a good shot at beating. She came just up short, however, at 14.966. The U.S. quickly put in an inquiry regarding the degree of difficulty score awarded to Aly and after the judges conferred, they raised it by 0.1. That tied her with Ponor, but Aly’s execution score was higher and that got her a bronze on nearly the exact grounds the lost it for her in the all-around. Degree of difficulty is not considered subjective – it is based on technical elements that are either present or not present – and is the only thing that can be reviewed. Her teammate Gabby, meanwhile, had a costly fall that put her in seventh. Douglas has failed to medal in both the beam and uneven bars. Don’t feel too bad for her, though. Gabby Douglas’ net worth should skyrocket soon after her amazing team and individual all-around titles.
