will.i.am And Jennifer Lopez Glow In The Dark At AMAs

Mick Jagger also appeared via video screen for debut performance of ‘T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever.)’ By James Dinh will.i.am performs at the 2011 AMAs Photo: Getty Images Sunday night’s (November 20) 2011 American Music Awards were full of onstage collaborations, and one of the most entertaining was will.i.am, Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger’s debut performance of “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever).” In between two life-size stereos, Jenny from the Block kicked off the bass-heavy number with the song’s chorus line: “You can go hard or you can go home.” Shortly into the performance, you could tell this hitmaking crew clearly went hard. Utilizing the pitch-black Nokia Theatre and dancers’ lit-up ensembles, will.i.am delivered a complete glow-in-the-dark performance that included floating dancers, a headless will and even a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it disappearing act. Lopez played up her part as featured guest, and even though Jagger was missing from the action, the Rolling Stones frontman did appear via video for his portion of the dance tune. To conclude the number, glowing confetti filled the air. “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)” is the lead single from will’s forthcoming solo album, #willpower, which is expected to drop next year. Produced by Audiobot, Dallas Austin and will himself, “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” was released on iTunes immediately after the AMA performance. Rich Lee directed the video for the song, which was shot in Los Angeles and London; it is expected to premiere later this month. What did you think of will.i.am’s glow-in-the-dark performance? This is my second Bieber experience. If you want to read my first one (when I met him) here’s the link . On October 26th, I came home from school to see I had an e-mail from Justin’s website saying he was filming an ITV special TV show on November 13th in London and they were giving away tickets on ITV’s website. I quickly clicked the link and submitted my details. During the first week of November,  bieberfever.com  was giving away tickets to the EMA’s in Belfast and I was so disappointed because I had no way to get up there. I had honestly forgotten that I had applied for tickets for Justin’s ITV show and  the next morning I got an e-mail from ITV  asking for my parent’s contact number. At first, I was thinking what is this about? And then I suddenly realized it was about the show. I was so excited and e-mailed them back straight away. I kept refreshing my e-mails and I heard nothing more from them. I was so nervous, I had to distract myself by going to the cinema, but I couldn’t get my mind off it and I had to text my mom during the movie to check if they e-mailed me back! But they hadn’t. When I got home, I couldn’t even eat my dinner! I eventually just went to bed but I set my alarm early for the next day (Friday 4th) to check my e-mails! 20 minutes after I woke up, the house phone rang. I heard my mom talking and then I knew it was someone from ITV. I ran in and started jumping up and down, screaming! The lady gave my mom all the details and I just couldn’t contain my excitement! I ran around the house & I rang my friend to tell her that I was going to bring her but she didn’t answer as she was asleep. I was so eager to tell her. She rang me back and asked me what’s the matter? I told her everything and she couldn’t believe it! We were SO excited! We had just over a week to sort out flights and accommodation. We booked our flights to London to go on the Saturday and return on the Monday and we were lucky because on Saturday our flight was delayed by 8 hours! And if that flight was on Sunday, we wouldn’t have been able to go. We were planning to go shopping on Saturday but since our flight was delayed, the shops were closed when we got there. It was finally Sunday, the day of the show! We had to queue outside for ages and I was freezing! They eventually let us in and we found out we were standing which meant we were really close to the stage. But it was also kind of bad because we had been walking all day and our legs were so sore but it was so worth it! A man came out on stage and we did some practice runs of clapping, laughing, screaming and ‘Awwing’! Reggie Yates, the guy who hosted it, then came out.  Finally Justin’s crew came out on stage and then it was time for the one, the only JUSTIN BIEBER!!  He performed most of the songs from ‘Under The Mistletoe’ including a special performance of ‘Drummer Boy’. He did a few acoustic songs/covers with Dan Kanter which they performed almost right in front of me and at the end of them,  Dan threw his guitar pic into the crowd and I CAUGHT IT! :O  I could not believe it. I was legit so fricken excited!! During breaks from filming, Justin was messing around with the lights, shining them at the audience and playing on the DJ set! He really is just a down to earth, normal kid. The last song he performed was ‘Baby’ and at the end of it, loads of red & white streamers came down. It was really, really amazing. I cannot wait to see it on TV. It airs on December 10th on ITV, but don’t worry if you don’t have that channel, I’m sure it will be up on Youtube. It was one of the best days of my life. -Ali (@IrishBieberCrew)  Justin also tweeted a picture from the ITV show saying “MY FANS ARE MY LIFE” and I cannot believe I am in it! (Sarah’s the girl I brought with me!) More: This is my second Bieber experience. If you want to read my…

I first heard of Justin in 2009 and it was my dream to meet…

I first heard of Justin in 2009 and it was my dream to meet him or see him in concert from the second I became a fan. But I thought it would never happen. However, in June 2010, I saw him in concert at the Summertime Ball in London: when he was only 16. He was absolutely phenomenal and that was the day that I became a hardcore belieber as such. Then in November he FINALLY announced a UK tour! I got tickets to his show on 14th March, at the O2 in London! I was so excited. Then he came to London for the first time in six months a few days later. It was known all over the UK that on the 28th he would be performing on X Factor, so me and my 3 friends went down to the studio to try and meet him. However we waited for 6 hours, and he ended up using a hidden entrance. A week later he announced a book signing in London! I thought that my chance had finally come. However when I got there, I was shoved right on the edge, and not allowed to stand near or even talk to him. My spirits were crushed that day. After that I had a series of failed attempts to meet him when he came to London for the Brit awards. I also entered a contest on Bieberfever.com to meet him, but I of course lost. BUT in March I went to his concert, twice. The second day was the best day of my life: I met his whole crew as well as Pattie and Jaden, and I saw Justin extremely close up. He also put on the best show I’ve ever seen! That day i thought to myself: even if i never meet him, I’ve had such an amazing experience, that I’m satisifed now.  Two weeks ago ITV, the UK’s largest entertainment channel, announced that they would be filming a TV special with JUSTIN BIEBER, and that 250 lucky people would win tickets, as long as they submitted an essay on why they were “Justin Bieber’s biggest fan”. I spent 3 days working on mine, but because over 10,000 people had entered I thought that I had no chance. When my mum rang me to tell me that I HAD won, I cried for days non stop with shock! Shortly after they arrived, they then let the first 100 of us in early so that he could film Drummer Boy because Tinie Tempah, who he was due to sing it with, had to go up to Scotland. I managed to secure a spot right in the front at the middle, and when Justin appeared he looked flawless, and I was in shock at knowing that my idol was right in front of me! He’s a lot shorter and skinnier in real life! Also he’s very pale, and his eyes are the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! When he touched my hand during ‘Drummer Boy’ I was almost in tears with happiness! But after the performance, he started talking about the rules and how we couldnt scream and shout etc, because then he couldnt hear himself singing. As he was strolling round the stage he came and stood right in front of me, so I said to him, “Hey Justin”. Then he moved forward, so that he was literally an inch away from me, pointed at me, looked me in the eyes and said “Hey you, don’t speak while I’m speaking” and then grinned cheekily. I met him in a different way to most people, but that’s why I’m so happy, because my Bieber experience was unique! I still can’t believe it and I’m so so grateful. I waited nearly 2 years but it did happen in the end. So my message to you all is: keep persevering and your time will come! And this is NOT just true for meeting celebrities, but for things in general! (We weren’t meant to bring in cameras but i managed to sneakily take this photo!) Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law Go ‘Bigger’ In ‘Sherlock Holmes 2’

We caught up with the ‘Game of Shadows’ stars and director Guy Ritchie on London set of the detective sequel. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law Photo: MTV News It’s one thing to breathe new life into a literary icon. Robert Downey Jr. , Jude Law and director Guy Ritchie did that two years ago with “Sherlock Holmes,” a quasi-Steampunk take on Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary detective. The real challenge comes when you have to do it again. The trio are set to give it another go on December 16, when the sequel, “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” hits theaters. MTV News’ Josh Horowitz traveled all the way to the London set of the film to talk to Downey, Law and Ritchie about recreating the magic of the first film and just why Holmes and Watson make for such compelling characters. We also discovered there was consensus among the three men about the approach for this film: bigger. “I’m too close to be objective about this now, but originally when we were constructing this conceptually, we just wanted to make it bigger,” Ritchie said. “We wanted to make it bigger and better, and I’m not sure if you can be more eloquent than that.” Ritchie told us that with the first movie out of the way, he “knows the identity” of the films better than ever and can take everything to the next level. “I supposed I stuck my toe in the water creatively on the last one. I’m probably a little bit more confident about who these guys are,” he said. In “Game of Shadows,” the action jumps into the future a bit, taking place more than a few months after the first film. Watson has moved out of 221 Baker Street, and Holmes is in tough shape and deeply obsessed with one of literature’s greatest villains, Professor James Moriarty, played in the new film by Jared Harris . No reimagining of Holmes would be complete without a take on his arch-nemesis, and Ritchie said that Harris is up to the task. “I’m not saying this because it’s what directors are supposed to say, but I do believe Jared is a fantastic Moriarty, and you are dealing with arguably the most infamous villain in the history of literature, so it’s no mean feat.” For the two heroes of the story, Downey and Law said they could endlessly revisit Holmes and Watson. Asked why, Downey got straight to the point. “The money and the merch!” he laughed Taking a more serious note, Law explained that it’s the chemistry between the two characters that will always be fascinating. “They’re just interesting. They’re very, very interesting. The dynamic is always fresh,” Law said. The pair is so dynamic, in fact, that it’s often hard to tell what kind of reaction a scene between them will elicit. “We’ve done stuff which we’re cracking up over and we think is so funny, and we watch it back over and in fact, it’s very touching,” Law said. “We think, ‘Where did that come from?’ And vice versa, we’ll do stuff we’re desperately trying to make this heartfelt moment, and it’s nothing short of broad and really funny.” “It’s a discovery process,” Downey agreed. Check out everything we’ve got on “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
