On Thursday, just as the Internet was coming to grips with Selena and The Weeknd going on a hot and heavy date that allegedly ended with them in Gomez’s bed, the singer posed for a picture in nothing but her underwear. It was a very good look for her, we must admit. Now, as shared above, the artist is fully clothed and not staring into any mirrors. She’s simply showing off a shorter haircut, one that features her brown hair hanging down to just past her chin. The cute image was shared by hairstylist, Marissa Marino. Granted, it pales in nearly-naked comparison to the sultry snapshot below, but it still feels worth noting – and here’s why: Gomez spent a chunk of last fall in rehab. She told fans that side effects of her Lupus diagnosis were interfering with her work and her mental state and that she needed to take a break. Which may very well have been true. But it’s hard to imagine that these side effects were not also brought on by her turbulent relationship with Justin Bieber. The exes got into a viral fight over the summer after Selena butted into Bieber’s romance with Sofia Richie, telling her fellow artist to stop complaining about his fans treating Richie with disrespect. Selena blamed Justin for any online harassment Richie was receiving because he was the one who made their relationship public. Sources say Bieber got angry at Gomez for this interjection and the two subsequently had another falling out. Not long afterward, Gomez took her hiatus from the spotlight. We say all this because Selena is now very clearly back… and perhaps better than ever. She’s clearly very confident in where her life is at the moment, flaunting both her romance with The Weeknd and also her body for all to see. She doesn’t even seem to care that Bella Hadid is taking issue with Selena and The Weeknd being rumored new lovers. She’s just doing her thing, finally self-assured enough to not let others bring her down. As for her hair? Gomez has used Marino as her stylist for years. She told Elle.com in November that she thinks her hair actually looks better when it’s “a little dirty” and explained her secrets behind it as follows: “I’ll use Pantene — the one I have right now is Expert Intense Hydration, which is really nice because everywhere I go has been kind of dry.
