The new one-sheets are designed to appeal to ab lovers more than art lovers and feature images of a shirtless Hugh Jackman and his adamantium claws. Hoo-ah! As Al Pacino might say. EW.com has also posted a gallery of exclusive stills from the movie, which is set in Japan. The first features Jackman and actress Tao Okamoto as Mariko, who Wolverine is protecting from the Yakuza. Next up, looking a bit like Poison Ivy is Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper, a super villain who likes to work with toxins and is immune to them. The third image features Rila Fukushima as the formidable Yukio. Jackman tells EW.com that Wolverine’s inability to die is a theme that resounds throughout the film. “He realizes everyone he loves dies, and his whole life is full of pain,” says Jackman. ”So it’s better that he just escapes. Evil Dead hits theaters in less than two weeks, and the debate in my head grows louder: Should I bring the airsickness bag I brought home from my last plane flight, or will a gallon-sized Ziploc baggie do? As I wrote earlier, Fede Alvarez’s intense, serious-as-a-heart attack remake of Sam Raimi’s humorous horror classic, The Evil Dead , is looking pretty review proof, but I’ve got to wonder if reports of the movie’s extreme gore and the intensity of the trailers that are being released will give more squeamish horror fans second thoughts about attending, especially since the update doesn’t share the comic relief of the original. Here’s the latest clip to surface via Yahoo! Everyone looks pretty freaked at what’s going on in that little cabin, and that’s before Mia ( Jane Levy ) shoots her brother David ( Shiloh Fernandez ) and lets out an operatic scream that comes with its own Auto-Tune translation. Last night was the premiere of the Spring Breakers and I wasn’t invited….but I don’t care about premieres…that shit is too exclusive and high end for me…I prefer to keep shit gutter and watch the movie on VHS when it comes out…..
