Although they have joint custody, Daniel has been denied the ability re-enter the U.S., and the court has ordered the children to live with him abroad. The rationale was that Kelly was able to freely travel, so she could go visit them. The actress has contested this but her legal challenge was denied. I don’t know how you even explain to someone what it feels like.” “I could sit here and tell you how often a cry. Kelly tried to go to federal court, but they said that since the children hadn’t been deported, they couldn’t intervene. Fans of VH1’s Mob Wives know Angela Raiola for her husky voice and larger-than-life persona. Unfortunately, it was recently discovered that one of Big Ang’s signature traits may be the result of a serious medical condition. TMZ reported last week that doctors discovered a tumor in Big Ang’s throat that was roughly the size of a lemon. Further tests showed that Raiola’s tumor was cancerous , but the reality star remained optimistic and issued several encouraging messages to fans via social media. Ang was scheduled for the soonest possible surgery, and she underwent an eight-hour procedure on Tuesday. Earlier today, Raiola’s sister reported that the operation was a success, and doctors were able to remove not only the tumor, but the lymph nodes on the left side of Ang’s neck, as an added precaution. In another piece of wonderful news for fans, Ang has been instructed not to speak for just three days, and after that, doctors expect that her famous voice will return to normal. In a recent interview, Ang attributed her raspy speech to 35 years of smoking. We hope after this latest scare, she’ll never be tempted to pick up the habit again. Jo Gilchrist, stricken by an infection contracted from a makeup brush, of all things, is reportedly paralyzed and told she may never walk again as a result. The Australian mother, 27, began feeling pain in her back in February, and soon lost all feeling in her lower body and legs and had to undergo emergency surgery. Doctors found that the partial paralysis was caused by a type of staph infection that is resistant to drugs, most likely contracted from the brush she borrowed. Gilchrist’s friend reportedly had a staph infection on her face, and it spread. “It started as a dull ache and I thought it was my bad posture,” Jo said. “But it got worse and worse and got to the point I had to call one of those doctors who come to you because I couldn’t get out of bed,” she recalled. “I rate the pain worse than childbirth; I literally thought I was going to die.” According to CDC, research about 30 percent of people with staph infections carry it in their noses, with most of these cases not resulting in infection. However, those that do cause infection can be extremely serious, even fatal. Doctors originally said Gilchrist might never walk again, however, she has been making incredible strides with physical therapy and intensive treatment. Last week, she posted a Facebook video of herself standing up and taking a couple of steps. Suffice it to say, she’s not giving up and going all out. “It’s been the hardest struggle I’ve ever faced” she wrote. “I have fought with everything I have to lead to this.” Even harder than the effort her recovery takes is being apart from son Tommy, 2, while she receives treatment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Home. “I have pictures of him and his drawings all over the walls and I look at them every day,” she said, and holds out hope that she can return to normal someday. Aaron Leetch And Torrey Ward Deaths Illinois State University is currently in mourning after two members of their coaching staff’s lives ended in tragedy. After attending Monday’s NCCA Basketball championship game in Indianapolis, Aaron Leetch (L) and Torrey Ward (R) were killed when their small plane crashed. The Chicago Tribune reports: Two members of Illinois State University’s athletic department were among the seven people killed when their small plane crashed near the Bloomington airport while returning from the NCAA basketball championship game in Indianapolis, authorities said. They were identified as Aaron Leetch, deputy director of athletics for external operations, and Torrey Ward, associate head coach of the Redbirds men’s basketball team. “The entire campus (is) in mourning,” ISU President Larry Dietz said in a statement. Two other victims have been identified: Terry Stralow, a partner in a popular bar in Bloomington-Normal, and Scott Bittner, owner of a meat-processing company and owner of the twin-engine Cessna 414 that crashed. No information about the others killed was available, but authorities said everyone on board died in the crash. The plane left the Indianapolis airport about 11 p.m. Monday and hit heavy fog over central Illinois, authorities said. About 12:15 a.m., radar contact with the plane was lost, according to the sheriff’s office. A search was launched, and a Bloomington police officer discovered the wreckage in a field northeast of the airport, the office said. “It was determined that there were no survivors,” the office said. At some point “that radio contact was lost,” he said. Olson did not say if the pilot indicated experiencing any trouble. The pilot did not cancel the flight plan or make any alterations in flight, he said. So sad, condolences to the families of the coaches and the rest of the victims.
