Broner still showed signs of greatness even in his defeat, but how he will react now will make all the difference! Adrien Broner lost overwhelmingly last night to Marcos Maidana in a 12 round decision. Broner was knocked down twice in the fight. The Problem with this fight for the kid was his weight class and age. Broner is 23 and really a 140 pounder. If you watch boxing, you would know that Maidana is one of the hardest punchers in the business and can take a punch just as well. El Chino is also a seasoned brawler who has battled his way to where he is and Broner has not… he’s a prospect. Broner doesn’t really move well either, although he’s fooled a lot of people with his mimic of Floyd’s shoulder roll and fade away. When he got knocked down last night, the first time, it was from that fake shoulder roll NOT BEING DONE PROPERLY and Maidana coming right over the top of it and landing on his chin. If Broner takes this loss in stride, rematches Chino, and shows the same heart it took last night to even get up after the first knockdown and keep scrapping… he will be a great fighter. At least two people were injured when a gunman opened fire at a high school in suburban Denver, Colo., Friday, before killing himself, reports indicate. Information is still coming in, but authorities say that the suspect was a male student at the school, Arapahoe High School, which is located in Centennial. He had reportedly sought to confront a teacher, officials believe. Colorado School Shooting The Arapahoe County Sheriff addressed the case moments ago. One of the victims, who is believed to be a student at the school, remains in critical condition, according to reports from Colorado emergency officials. Hospital officials said the injured student was in critical condition. Another student suffered a minor wound, said Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson, adding authorities were not sure it was a gunshot wound. Police did not release the name of the deceased, alleged shooter. Robinson said, “At 12:33 this afternoon, an individual came to the Arapahoe High School on the West Side, entered the school armed with a shotgun.” “Was looking for an individual teacher that he identified by name. The teacher began to understand that he was being looked at, exited the school. “One student confronted the armed student, and was shot.” “We located what we believed to be the suspect and the active shooter. That individual is currently deceased and he apparently killed himself.” Video showed students leaving the building in orderly fashion, with their hands raised. They were then frisked by security officers before moving on. The school is eight miles from Columbine H.S. in Littleton, where two teenagers infamously killed 12 classmates, a teacher and themselves in 1999. The Colorado school shooting comes almost one year since the tragedy in Newtown, Conn., where 20 first-graders and six educators were killed. The Connecticut shooting took place December 14 of last year.

The disturbing legacy of the second-deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history is so profound that it cannot hold just one meaning. Nor can it be easily reconciled. Adam Lanza, a mentally ill 20-year-old recluse obsessed with school shootings, gunned down six adult women, 12 girls and eight boys in 11 minutes. Before that, he killed his mother. After the rampage, he killed himself. There was devastation. There was outrage. There was political rancor. There were even conspiracy theories (below). A year later, what has changed? The Sandy Hook Shooting – Fully Exposed On this tragic anniversary, and under the shadow of a Colorado school shooting just yesterday, the debate over guns, mental health, healing, and humanity continues. Whether the U.S. has reformed its gun laws after the Newtown massacre may depend on your point of view. Clearly, America affirms a right to bear arms. President Barack Obama was unable to persuade Congress, as he vowed in Newtown’s aftermath, to take meaningful action regarding gun reform. Obama failed to even expand background checks, though he did strengthen many existing gun laws and take related steps on mental health and school safety. Before the violence, Lanza had become isolated. His parents divorced in 2009. His father, Peter, remarried and moved to an area not far away. Their only other child, Ryan Lanza , 24, wasn’t living in the mother’s home. Connecticut authorities’ investigation concluded that Lanza “had significant mental health issues that affected his ability to live a normal life and to interact with others.” “What contribution this made to the shootings, if any, is unknown as mental health professionals who saw him did not see anything that would have predicted his behavior.” In any case, families who lost a child in the mass shooting will never be the same. Even a year later, they still struggle to recover from the devastation. Public comments by the families this weekend are unlikely, as several major news outlets, including CNN, agreed not to send reporters to Newtown. The town of 27,000 people decided to raze Sandy Hook Elementary School. A new school will be built on the same site, a symbol of resurrection. Man Jumps to Death During Girlfriend’s Shopping Spree According to Chinese television station CCTV, a 38-year old named Tao Hsiao was arguing with his girlfriend over the weekend inside a mall in Jiangsu province. Onlookers overheard him telling the unnamed companion that she had already bought enough, with one witness saying: “He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a lifetime and it was pointless buying any more.” But the girlfriend simply shouted back, accusing her man of ” spoiling Christmas ” and a “heated argument” ensued. The man then proceeded to have the final (ever) say by throwing his shopping bags on the floor and jumping over a balcony, plummeting seven stories to his death. “His body was removed fairly quickly,” said a mall spokesman. “This is a tragic incident, but this time of year can be very stressful for many people.”
A very familiar face will soon make her way back to How I Met Your Mother. According to TV Line sources, Ashley Williams will once again reprise her role as Ted’s on-again/off-again girlfriend, Victoria, on an episode expected to air in April. It’s unclear what brings the character into the fold for another appearance, but she was last seen on How I Met Your Mother Season 8 , breaking up with Ted when he refused to sever all ties to Robin. This CBS comedy is winding down its final season, though the network has already announced a spinoff titled How I Met Your Dad . The teaser trailer for Godzilla has just been released and fans’ first look at one of the most anticipated motion pictures of 2014 certainly doesn’t disappoint. The trailer shows a city under attack by the titular, dinosaur-like creature, with members of the military scrambling to respond to the beast and its antics. There’s even one frightening glimpse at the enormous creature itself: Godzilla Trailer (Teaser) Gareth Edwards’ take on the classic story/behemoth strives to be different, darker, bigger, and scarier, he ambitiously teased at this year’s Comic-Con. “There’s nothing sci-fi, it’s very grounded and realistic,” he said. “I’ve never worked this long and this hard on something that lasted just a few seconds since I lost my virginity.” Well played. The Godzilla cast includes Elizabeth Olsen, Breaking Bad ‘s Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche and Sally Hawkins.
