Trestin Meacham, 35, has been surviving on water and the occasional vitamin pill since Dec. 21. Although he’s already lost 25 pounds, Meacham claims he won’t eat until all of Utah’s counties stop issuing gay marriage licenses. “You can start a blog and you can complain on social networks until you’re blue in the face and nothing will happen but actions speak louder than words and I’m taking action,” Meacham told 4Utah. One day before Meacham began his fast with “no end in sight,” federal judge Robert J. Shelby ruled that Utah’s ban on same-sex marriages was unconstitutional. This is “action”? Meacham, as a Mormon, believes that such marriages are evidence of sin. “I cannot stand by and do nothing while this evil takes root in my home,” the man wrote on Facebook. “Some things in life are worth sacrificing one’s [health]and even life if necessary.” If he believes that either the gays or the federal government cares whether this guy dies of starvation then he’s got life fawked up. “This has nothing to do with hatred of a group of people,” Meacham wrote on his blog. ” I have friends and relatives who practice a homosexual lifestyle and I treat them with the same respect and kindness that I would anyone. Tragic news out of Hollywood . Veteran Director Jeffrey Ian Pollack Found Dead He was such a young, talented and successful producer. According to NY Daily News: The tragic death of veteran producer Jeffrey Ian Pollack has left friends, family and peers in mourning. The discovery of the 54-year-old “Booty Call” director’s body on a secluded jogging trail in California’s Hermosa Beach Monday has also left questions as to what killed the avid runner. By the time another jogger stumbled upon the body at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Pollack, wearing a jogging outfit as his Eagles tunes still played on his iPod, was already dead, the Hermosa Beach Easy Reader reported. A cause of death has yet to be released. Pollack’s death hit the industry hard – particularly for those who worked with him over a career that started as a producer on the early ’90s TV series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” which introduced rapper Will Smith to mainstream America. Credited as Jeff Pollack, he directed three movies -”Above the Rim,” which starred Marlon Wayans, in 1994; Jamie Foxx vehicle “Booty Call” in 1997; and the 1999 romantic comedy “Lost & Found” – but primarily concentrated on producing since. Business partner Benny Medina expressed his grief in a statement to Deadline.com: “He was my partner, but first and foremost, a great and loyal friend whom I loved dearly,” said Medina, who had run Handprint Entertainment, a management company, with Pollack until it closed down in 2008. “Gone too soon, I will miss him.” Medina added that Pollack’s greatest legacy was the two children he leaves behind — daughter Lael Pollack, 19, and son Logan Pollack, 13. What an azzhole. Man Kills Baby For Crying During Football Game If the crying was bothering him so much, he should have handed the baby to someone or left the room. According to Fox 25: A man Norman Police say killed a 5-month-old while he watched the OU-OSU football game is now in custody in the Cleveland County Jail. An arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Tre’viance Markese Walker Friday. Police say the child died in Walker’s care while he watched the Bedlam football game. Neighbor Jimmy Shannon says Walker, his girlfriend and his girlfriend’s baby were living with Walker’s aunt and uncle. While everyone else was out running errands, Shannon says Walker was supposed to take care of the baby, but he was upset with OU’s win and lashed out at the crying baby. “The baby wouldn’t stop crying so he went allegedly and picked up the baby with such force as to snap the baby’s neck,” Shannon said. Shannon went on to say that his neighbors told him Walker lost $200 because of the Bedlam game and that’s why he lashed out. Shannon says after everyone got home they found the baby unresponsive and called police. Police responded to the home in the 200 block of Willoway around 6:00 PM. The 6-month-old boy was taken to a local hospital where he later died. According to the affidavit filed in Cleveland County, the boy had trauma to his face and head and blood in his right ear. The report states Walker had the boy in his care starting at 1:35 PM until 2:30 PM. Walker initially claimed to have not touched the boy during that time. “It’s heart wrenching. It’s disgusting, and it just makes me sick to my stomach,” said Shannon. As of Monday the District Attorney’s office says charges against Walker weren’t yet filed, but the arrest warrant was for murder in the first degree.
