The rapper was recently performing at the final stop of his “This Is America Tour” when he shocked fans by announcing that he’d been mourning the death of his dad. According to Donald, his father Donald Glover, Sr. passed away in recent weeks and he’s been reeling ever since. “I lost my father a couple weeks ago,” said Glover. “I wanted to play him some of the new songs, but he didn’t want to hear them, because he was like, ‘I know they’re going to be great,’” Gambino continued, as he appeared to struggle to maintain his composure. “I’m not saying that to talk about music – I say that to talk about trust,” he explained. “That’s what love is. After he was exposed as a cheater, Colt Johnson claimed that 90 Day Fiance fame went to his head and made him cheat. Now, Colt is publicly apologizing to his wife and condemning fans who rush to judge him. Meanwhile, Larissa is claiming that, despite her domestic battery arrests , she has never been abusive to Colt. Speaking to InTouch Weekly , Larissa Dos Santos Lima condemns claims that she was abusive to Colt. “I was not abusive to Colt,” Larissa insists. She refers to both her behavior on 90 Day Fiance and to her two domestic battery arrests. “Anything pointing otherwise is extremely edited or taken out of context,” she claims. It’s true that reality shows, 90 Day Fiance included, may edit out context. But are we to believe that police reports about them do the same? Despite the recent revelations about Colt’s rampant cheating on her with various Instagram women, Larissa isn’t giving up. “I love Colt,” Larissa insists. “And we have normal relationship troubles like any other couple.” For the record, some friction with Colt’s mom is normal. The cheating, the domestic battery arrests, and the toxic fighting are not . “I understand his actions,” Larissa says. “And I will forgive him.” Yikes. “A true relationship,” Larissa believes. “Is two imperfect people unwilling to give up on each other.” In one of the messages that Larissa exposed, Colt claimed to an Instagram mistress that Larissa was “violent.” Within the context of the message, it appeared that he was using that as an excuse for why his online affair had to remain a secret. “He was lying to these girls,” Larissa says. “It was already proved.” “He was talking to a girl making promises of a relationship,” Larissa notes. “And talking to others as well behind her back.” “He was saying whatever he wanted to make these girls feel sorry for him,” Larissa points out. “If I was an abusive wife,” Larissa says. “He could just get divorced.” There are many abuse victims who have to stay with their partners for financial security, for their children, for citizenship, or in fear of their lives. As far as we know, Colt has no such ties forcing him to stay with Larissa. Larissa says that if she were abusive, “he would not be here right now asking me to come back to him.” “He is [begging] for forgiveness,” she characterizes. “So,” Larissa asks, in the eyes of some fans, “how come I am abusive?” Most of that was pretty well-reasoned. Unfortunately, Larissa then takes things too far and shoots herself in the foot. “The real abuse is the humiliation of being cheated,” Larissa claims. Cheating is a dicksh thing to do, but it is by no means as bad as abuse. Equating the two makes it sound like domestic violence is much less serious than it really is. “I am the abused victim here,” Larissa concludes, to the frustration of fans who have begun to root for her. At best, they may hope that something has been lost in translation from her native Portuguese. Larissa and Colt both shared a message that Colt wrote on Instagram. “All of these accusations are ridiculous and need to stop,” Colt insists. “Whatever problems I have in MY relationship,” he writes. “I’ll deal with them.” He doesn’t want advice on how to apologize or how to not cheat or how to not be a condescending jerk to her constantly. Colt says: “I will work on them in private.” Last week, fans learned of Colt’s multiple flirtations on social media. But Colt says that none of it is serious — at least, not anymore. “There is nobody special for me,” Colt writes. He clarifies: “There is no new girlfriend.” And to think that he’d been telling some women that he and Larissa were secretly separated but not telling anyone yet. “I love Larissa,” Colt claims. “And,” he continues. “I want to fight for our relationship.” Colt concludes: “and I apologize for all the pain I caused to her.” This couple has seemed toxic since Larissa stepped off the plane. Gretchen Rossi may no longer be a cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County. But she still knows how to make headlines. And, in this case, she has done so with the most exciting news possible… … she’s expecting her first child! Rossi and Slade Smiley announced this blessed development during an appearance on The Doctors. “Finally we have news, that we are pregnant!” Gretchen said, prior to Slade adding: “And we’re freaked out… but in a good way.” The couple has been together for a decade and they have been engaged for the past five years. They’ve spent four of those years trying to conceive and appeared on this medically-themed talk show to discuss their use of IVF. The Doctors actually aired the emotional moment when Rossi first learned the news, which caused her to burst into a puddle of happy ears. Smiley also recounted hearing their little one’s heartbeat for the first time. “All of this has been such an overwhelming journey,” he said. “And so when you get to those little milestones and you know you’re hearing the heartbeat, it’s so exciting but it’s also a relief.” “It’s so wild,” Gretchen added. “It still doesn’t feel real.” During her on-air interview, the mother-to-be grew very candid, opening up about her struggles with fertility and how she often feared she would never give birth. “After the first round of IVF, when we lost 14 embryos, I looked at Slade and said, ‘I just need to take a pause,'” she recalled, elaborating as follow: “This is beyond anything I had ever expected to experience. It literally took a good year and a half for us to even get to a point where I was willing to talk about it again.” Has this been a struggle? Yes, of course. However, Smiley and Rossi said their “emotional journey” has brought them “so much closer together.” Do they know the gender of their impending child? No, but Rossi thinks it will be a girl. Does Gretchen have morning sickness? Yes, but it lasts all day and is the “worst thing ever,” she said. Still, of course, she would not trade any of this for anything in the world. “There was plenty of times during the process that we were like, ‘Oh my gosh. Is this ever going to happen? Is this ever going to come to fruition?'” Gretchen said, adding: “But I think that we’re so very grateful, because had we not had IVF, we would not be sitting here right now telling you that we’re pregnant.” Smiley has two children from previous relationships. T he cloud of corruption finally lifted from Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum with the release on Wednesday of an FBI report on its probe of city officials. It confirmed Gillum’s denial of wrongdoing and showed that his Republican rival for Florida governor Ron DeSantis exploited the investigation to win the election. See Also: Andrew Gillum Lost Florida Election Because Of Racism, Democrats Say Gillum’s name was not listed among those indicted by federal authorities in an investigation into whether businessmen were able to influence Tallahassee development projects, Politico reported. DeSantis led a racist campaign that poured millions of dollars into painting Gillum, who was running to become the state’s first African-American governor, as corrupt—even though Gillum had always said he was not a target of the probe. Republicans spent at least $7 million on TV ads to connect Gillum to the investigation. It paid off, with DeSantis winning a narrow victory. “If the FBI had something on Gillum, they would have brought it by now or it would be in this indictment. They got nothing on Gillum. He got screwed,” said Steven R. Andrews , a Republican strategist who is also a criminal defense attorney representing one of the defendants in the case. Corey had reportedly set up meetings between undercover FBI agents, posing as land developers, and Tallahassee officials—including Gillum. The FBI investigation was just one of the tools in DeSantis’ arsenal that included racist attacks. DeSantis has a long history of associating with white nationalists. Less than 24 hours after winning the GOP nomination in August, DeSantis blew a racist dog whistle when he warned Florida voters not to “monkey this up” by voting for Gillum. Soon after, white supremacists answered the whistle by sending out racist robocalls. Another series of robocalls attacking Gillum went out during their first debate. Gillum decidedly out-dueled DeSantis in the first debate through his mastery of the issues. But the Trump-backed candidate often used allegations of corruption to score points against Gillum. Now that the FBI investigation is in the rearview mirror, Gillum can focus on his political future. There were reports that he met recently with former President Barack Obama . And we have effectively written off cities as Democratic strongholds. Our nation is poorer for it,” she penned in an open letter published in the Washington Post on Wednesday. She lost her election in a close race for a third term in Congress. It’s unclear what the political future holds for Love, who made history as the first and only Black Republican woman in Congress. Many in the GOP hoped that her early political success would help to bring racial diversity to the party. But the Trump-dominated GOP is an inhospitable place to most African Americans. Trump publicly showed his contempt for Love the day after the midterms . “Mia Love gave me no love and she lost,” Trump said mocking the congresswoman, naming her among incumbent House members who didn’t shower him with praise and were defeated. “Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia.” Republicans remained silent while Trump defended white supremacist violence in Charlottesville and labeled Haiti and nations in Africa “ shithole countries. ” The GOP also stood by while their leader claimed falsely that his policies improved the lives of Black people. The president’s policies have in fact been detrimental to the Black community. In education, for example, the president has looked for ways to cut funding to public schools. This comes as many Black children attend schools in buildings that should be condemned, like many found in Detroit , and schools that lack the resources that wealthy school districts offer their students. Moreover, rather than reducing bias in schools, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos approved new guidance, which took effect in March, that permits investigators in her department to disregard civil rights cases . Love urged the party to change course. “We must listen to their experiences, visit them in their comfort zones and take their priorities to heart. Our policy implementations must be personal — not transactional,” she wrote. But it’s unlikely that Republican leaders are paying attention to her.
