Drake ‘s new album, Scorpion , is doing well and he’s on tour with the Migos. So it seems the 6 God felt it was only right to hurl shots at Kanye West, while performing in Chicago. Hitting Chi-Town for the “ Aubrey and the Three Amigos Tour ” on Saturday night (August 18), Drake decided to switch up the words on “Know Yourself.” Instead of rapping “Then Kanye dropped, it was polos and backpacks,” he flipped it to “Then Kanye flopped, it was polos and backpacks.” Nah, the crowd didn’t decide to turn on Drake for slandering their hometown product. Cold world. To be fair, you may have missed it unless you’re a devoted fan and familiar with the If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late song. Still, the audacity. Drake switch the lines in “Know Yourself” and said KANYE FLOPPED. Still no sign of him responding to @PUSHA_T pic.twitter.com/9Wm60NBb11 — Surgical summer (@sakh_oct) August 18, 2018 — Photo: WENN composite
Source: Chesnot / Getty Not even DJ Khaled can save Snapchat at this point. It is being reported that over the last three months the once favorite social media app has lost about 3 million daily users. Looks like Instagram is seriously eating Snapchat’s food and is one of the leading factors in the app’s downfall. The redesign that immediately turned off users and its constant issues with the Android app didn’t help its cause either and contributed to the mass exodus. User growth for the app is slowed down last quarter, and the spectacles which they hope would fly off shelves failed to latch on with users which led to the head of Snap Lab to step down due to restructuring. Snap Inc does plan to release a new and smaller version called Spectacles 2 in hopes of a different result. Now as of yesterday (August 7th), reports show the apps number of daily users have dropped from 191 million in the first quarter of the year, to now 188 million users. This news marks the first time in the company’s history that its user count has dropped. It’s not all bad news, Snap Inc CFO Tim Stone says active users are now actually up to 100 million in US and Canada, and the overall revenue is $242 million which is a 44 percent year-over-year increase and an 11.9 percent bump in from the previous quarter. In a prepared statement, CEO Evan Spiegel spoke on the numbers and put most of the blame on the app’s redesign and stated: “It has been approximately six months since we broadly rolled out the redesign of our application, and we have been working hard to iterate and improve Snapchat based on the feedback from the community.” He also spoke about Snapchat’s issues with it’s Android app: “Even though our iterative efforts to improve the existing application have helped increase new user retention on Android by nearly 20 percent since Q4 of 2016, we believe that rewriting the application presents a big opportunity because it takes advantage of the latest Android capabilities and has a modularized structure that will make it easier for us to innovate in the future.: Sounds good but will its recent updates such as new camera filters, group video chats and Harry Potter bitmojis and new spectacles work? Lets not also forget the impact of Kylie Jenner and Rihanna sharing their displeasure also hurt the app and the company’s value as well. They might want to get a big name on board to help with regaining its cool factor with the users that left the app. Cause as of right now Instagram is showing no signs of letting up at all. Thank God Julianne Hough is a blond again. The red hair was awful and I lost all attraction to her. But she’s blond now and when you are blond, you naturally sex things up. That being said, check out that booty pump. Calvin Klein would be proud.

Late last year, Meadow Walker settled her lawsuit with Porsche over the death of her father, the late, great Paul Walker. Now, his family and loved ones are honoring him with a documentary about him, titled I Am Paul Walker . In the trailer for it below, you can see previously unreleased footage of him. Take a look: After a glimpse of footage at a young teenage Paul getting nervous in front of a camera, his brother Cody Walker speaks. “He was a big kid,” Cody says of his dearly departed brother. “He was a big kid.” Director Wayne Kramer also speaks about Paul. “That guy made the best of every single minute,” Wayne says. Wayne continues, saying: “He lived five lifetimes.” Paul was also survived by his sister, who speaks about how she remembers him “He liked to go fast,” Ashe Walker says. “As soon as I was old enough to hold on tight, I was on the back of his bigwheel with him going for the ride of my life.” Oakley Lehman, a childhood friend and a stunt performer, speaks of Paul's complexity and apparent contradictions. “The gun-toting hippie,” Oakley says of his late friend, praising Paul as the “balance of opposites.” “You know?” Oakley continues. “A lover and a fighter.” Another childhood friend, Andy Muxlow, refers to Paul's perpetual free spirit. “He's definitely not a puppet,” Andy says. “You know?” Andy asks. “He's definitely not somebody that's gonna just be told to do something and then do it.” Director Rob Cohen says that, as much as fans grew to love Paul Walker through the camera, that barely scratched the surface on the man he knew. “Cinema didn't capture it all,” Rob laments. “Couldn't capture it all.” Rob summarizes Paul's priorities in life: “'My daughter, my surfing. That's the life. And that's what I care about.'” Matt Luber, Paul's manager, speaks about how Paul was not obsessed with is status as a celebrity or even as an actor. “Paul was always an actor who had one foot in and one foot out. He could just disappear,” Matt says. Caleb Walker, Paul's other brother, speaks of Paul's occassional impulses and fantasies of solitary anonymity. “He'd always say, like, 'I want to be a park ranger.' You know?” Caleb says. “Make 28 grand a year, live in the wilderness. That's really what he wanted to do.” Rhett Walker, Paul's uncle, gushes about the impact that his late nephew had on countless individuals. “I can actually say he did a lot of things that made a lot of difference in a lot of people's lives,” Rhett says. Not everyone can say the same. Tyrese Gibson is an actor and was one of Paul's costars in the Fast and Furious franchise. “He was a giver,” Tyrese says. “If you loved him the way we did, you would say 'Well, why him and not us?'” That is a normal way to grieve a lost friend. I Am Paul Walker premieres on August 11 at 9pm on the Paramount Network.
Sheila D Gets Raw On “Ratchet Royalty” Firstly, Sheila D Yeah has been doing her thing musically for a minute and she’s dope. The Baltimore native took her talents to L.A. where she ran into a few hiccups, but it hasn’t stopped her from living out her musical dreams. On her latest release “ Ratchet Royalty “, the lyricist discusses her struggles as a single mother — very different content from what’s popping with women rappers today. Sheila includes a voicemail from an aggy A&R on the intro of the EP, and dude straight up tells her no one wants to work with her because she had a baby. “Unfortunately [inaudible] has lost interest. The concern is, and this is probably why she has never gone anywhere…she’s a mother, she has a kid and there’s no father in the picture. If you look a billboard Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Cardi…they don’t have kids. Cardi B may be pregnant but she can do that…Everyone is not interested because she has a child.” It starts at the 1:00 mark: Wow, do you think it’s a fair or foul decision to not sign a contract with someone because they are a mother??? Sounds cruel. Congratulations to Sheila for getting her EP off, despite haters! Hear “Ratchet Royalty” here:
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Stevie J managed to avoid jail time for his hefty child support debt, but his life is still about to change forever. On Tuesday, he and on-again girlfriend Faith Evans were tweeting their love for each other. The two of them got married in a private ceremony. But there may be a little hitch in their marriage … courtesy of Joseline Hernandez. TMZ reports that Stevie J and Faith Evans applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas. The license would be good for one year, so the two could have planned their nuptials for any time before or including the beginning of summer in 2019. On Tuesday, Stevie tweeted: “I love you Faith Renee Jordan.” Faith tweeted back: “I love you back Steven Aaron Jordan.” We’re not sure if wedding vows count if they’re on Twitter, but that’s okay … There’s no mystery of when the wedding ceremony will be. TMZ quickly followed up with an update: Stevie J and Faith went through with it and got married. Apparently, Stevie and Faith held their wedding ceremony in their hotel room on Tuesday night, around 10:30 in the eventing. That was the very same day on which they filed for their marriage license in Clark County (in which Las Vegas resides). We know that it’s a little sudden — especially since it’s Stevie’s first marriage. But … it’s Vegas. (But, hey, it’s not like they just met — just over a year ago, Faith Evans and Stevie J were on the outs ) As we mentioned, this is Stevie’s first marriage. This is Faith’s third. She had been married to Todd Russaw until 2011 … and, of course, to Notorious B.I.G. Over the past year, Stevie and Faith have gone from being split to openly flirting on Leave It To Stevie . And now … they’re married. Though, to be clear, those “I love you” tweets are the closest that these two have come to making an announcement. But we mentioned that there was a twist. This marriage is off to a rough start. Why? Because Stevie’s ex, Joseline Hernandez, decided to expose some alleged texts that Stevie appears to have sent her just a month earlier. In texts from June 17, someone saved to Joseline’s phone as “A–hole,” who is implied to be Stevie J, wrote to Joseline. The text asks: “Will you marry me?” Joseline replies: “I’m actually trying to marry someone else I really like. I’m sorry. I tried it with you. I’m liking someone else a lot.” In a series of replies, Stevie is shown to have written: “Coo. Damn. I love you Joseline. You stupid little b–ch.” Joseline, clearly feeling petty, shared a screencap of this conversation on Instagram, adding: “Happy honey moon!” As they say, Joseline had time . Now, anyone with a few minutes to spare can fabricate text messages, but most people would say that it’s not worth the backlash to fabricate something personal like this. Did Stevie J really ask Joseline to marry him just a month before he and Faith tied the knot? If so, that … might not bode well for this union. View Slideshow: 15 AMAZING Moments from Love & Hip Hop
A group of 10 Black students has sadly discovered that they are not safe from police while in college. An internal investigation was launched after the students were stopped by cops and wrongfully accused of having an unpaid bill at an IHOP in Clayton, Missouri, police said Monday, July 16. The freshmen, who were unidentified, attended a summer start program at Washington University, which sits at the boundary of St. Louis and Clayton. They walked to IHOP for a late night meal and paid their bill on July 8. However, they were tracked down by officers in multiple squad cars after a restaurant manager issued a complaint about young Black males dining and dashing without settling a $62 bill, The Associated Press reported. There were six squad cars that followed the students, the university said. Only four cars were named in the incident, according to St. Louis police. Police made the 10 students walk three blocks back to the restaurant, with six squad cars following them. https://t.co/97xP90YorV — St. Louis Post-Dispatch (@stltoday) July 16, 2018 The incident comes at a time when the nation is on high alert about racial profiling incidents that involve cops being called on people of color. The students were cooperative with police and showed their IHOP receipts to officers. They even agreed to walk back to the restaurant and talk with the manager who issued the complaint. After all was said and done, the manager defended the students as innocent and said other customers had left the unpaid bill. However, the damage had been done. “The fact that these 10 students, all of whom are African American, were scared and humiliated is unacceptable to us,” Washington University Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Jill Friedman said in a statement Monday. “It is extremely disappointing that they have been so seriously let down, even before the official start of their first semester.” Incidents such as this one further show that there are not many safe spaces for students of color at or near colleges and universities.
