Beige Rage Reloaded: DJ Envy & His Wife Explain Why They’re Still Beefing With Desus & Mero

Johnny Nunez/Getty Images Nope, ain’t over… DJ Envy And Gia Casey Speak On Desus & Mero DJ Envy is once again addressing his beef with brolic branded Desus & Mero after that “Breakfast Club” faceoff over his wife. The radio host released a new episode of his “Casey Crew” podcast with his wife Gia where they spoke candidly on that standoff (and walk off) he had with the Viceland hosts. Envy’s still adamant that Desus and Mero “disrespected” Gia and “insinuated” that she’s a gold digger. He also revealed that he told his son Logan about what went down on-air and used it as a teachable moment. Envy revealed that he told their son Logan about what went down between him and the hosts to set an example. “With the Desus and Mero situation, I showed Logan exactly what I did. As a man and as a father my only job is to protect and provide for this family, I told him when you get married and you have children, no matter what anybody says you do what you feel from the heart. You [Gia] instilled that in me the way you are in this world about people—-People have lost their honor. They’ve lost their way about themselves. People would rather trade being right for a check. Like being a standup person for getting a check. “Or to be popular,” said Gia. Gia then asked her husband fan questions about the situation and Envy denied having malicious intent with his Breakfast Club commentary while noting that he’s the “pusher of love” on the show. “I know we weren’t gonna talk about it,” said Gia. “‘Envy how do you get so upset that someone disrespected your wife when it’s basically you and your cohosts’ job to do the same thing every day? And you disrespect females on occasion on your show.’” “People like to group people on our show,” said Envy. “If Charlamagne gave somebody donkey of the day then people automatically think that I said the same thing or it’s the same sentiment. I don’t know if people realize especially in the last 5 years, 6 years, I’ve been the pusher of love. When JuJu and Cam’ron were having problems I was like, y’all need to get back together and work it out. I don’t try to disrespect anybody. When it comes to disrespecting somebody, I don’t ever try to disrespect anybody maliciously. He also recalled a single time he might have disrespected someone’s wife; the time he said something out of pocket about Tiny Harris and got called out by T.I. “One time it was T.I. and Tiny, and T.I. called me on-air and he was right—but that was what? 7 or 8 years ago.” More of this lovely triscuit colored tag team on the flip.

Demi Lovato Celebrates 6 Years of Sobriety, Reveals Encounter With "B-tchy" Celebrity

At just 25, Demi Lovato has enjoyed higher highs and endured lower lows than most people will experience in a lifetime. The singer rose to fame while still in her teens, but the pressures of such sudden success quickly took a toll. Lovato’s struggles with addiction could have cost her career – and so much more. But at her lowest point, Demi was strong enough to seek help, and that has made all the difference. These days,  Lovato is sober , and her music is more popular than ever. More importantly, however, Demi is happy, healthy, and willing to publicly share the details of her painful struggle in hopes of helping others. Earlier this week, Demi marked another year of clean living, and she celebrated the occasion on social media: “Just officially turned 6 years sober,” Lovato tweeted. “So grateful for another year of joy, health and happiness. It IS possible.  While Lovato maintains that the decision to get sober was the most important one she’s ever made, she admits that she still struggles from time to time. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight , Demi revealed that she came dangerously close to falling off the wagon at the 2016 Met Gala . “I had a terrible experience,” Lovato recalls. “This one celebrity was a complete b-tch and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink.” Demi says the experience was an eye-opening one that caused her to realize she has more in common with fellow former addicts than she does with many of her fellow celebs: “I changed my clothes, but I still had my diamonds on — millions of dollars of diamonds on in an AA meeting,” she adds. “And I related more to the homeless people in that meeting who struggled with the same struggles that I deal with than the people at the Met Gala.” Lovato says it’s no exaggeration to say that her sobriety is quite literally a matter of life and death, “What keeps me on this path is there’s a drive that I have to stay sober because I know that my life depends on it,” she tells ET. “If I would have continued down that road, I don’t know if I’d be here today.” Well, her loved ones and her millions of fans are certainly glad she chose a different path before it was too late. Our sincere congrats go out to Demi on the achievement of a lifetime. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: 19 Candid Confessions from Her Documentary

Louise Slaughter Dies; Trailblazing Congresswoman Was 88

The House of Representatives has lost one of its most its most courageous voices. New York Rep. Louise Slaughter has passed away at the age of 88. Slaughter had been hospitalized since being injured in a fall at her home last week. She was the oldest sitting member of Congress. News of Slaughter’s death was confirmed today by her chief of staff Liam Fitzsimmons. “To have met Louise Slaughter is to have known a force of nature,” Fitzsimmons said in a statement issued to several media outlets. Indeed, Slaughter was a true rarity in the House of Representatives – a stalwart ideologue and shrewd negotiator who was also beloved by her colleagues on both sides of the aisle. First elected to represent New York’s 25th congressional district in 1986, Slaughter played key roles in shaping several hstoric pieces of legislation. She co-authored the Violence Against Women Act in 1994, but she might be best remembered for her role in helping to build congressional support for Obamacase as Rules Committee chairwoman in 2010. Slaughter was a longtime ally of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who paid tribute to her late friend in a statement issued moments ago: “With her passing, the Congressional community has lost a beloved leader and a cherished friend,” Pelosi said. “Her strong example inspired countless young women to know their power, and seek their rightful place at the head of the decision-making table.” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan ordered the flags above the Capitol Building lowered to half mast in Slaughter’s honor: “She was unrelenting in fighting for her ideas and the people back home in Western New York,” Ryan said today. “But really, the thing that I keep coming back to is how she was tough, but unfailingly gracious. She was simply great.” In the hours since the congresswoman’s death, Slaughter’s name has become a trending topic on Twitter thanks to thousands of heartfelt tributes from colleagues and admirers from all over the political spectrum. If Toys R Us Closes For Good, Protest Might Be In Order

Here is the original post:

Source: Ramin Talaie / Getty If you’ve been too caught up in your adult life to pay attention, Toys R Us isn’t doing too well right now. According to USA Today , the chain of stores where kids dreams are made of could be closing for good. The company’s grim future comes after months of struggling and even filing for bankruptcy. A mixture of poor business decisions and tough competition, such as Walmart and Amazon, has led to Toys R Us’ tragic demise.   If you were born in the 90s or decades before, you know a Toys R Us closing will be a time for mourning. I mean, where else will kids get the phantasmal experience of in-person toy shopping?   They’ll never know the experience of bypassing a KB Toys because they know they can find something better at Toys R Us.   Iconic scenes from Toy Story 2 will go right over kids’ heads because they’ll never know the euphoria of aisles and aisles of toys.   Not to mention, how will kids know if an extravagant Hot Wheels track is truly possible if they don’t see it and breath it for themselves.   This begs the question, is a huge protest in order?   Should we take to the streets and uplift our favorite Toys R Us memories?   Or will Toys R Us have to be lost to history like other joys of the past?   Nothing is for certain yet. Toys R Us is supposed to announce whether they’re going out of business or not sometime this week. Until then, we’ll always have our memories.

Blac Chyna Cries Her Eyes Out on Instagram

In a new Instagram video, Blac Chyna appears to be crying out for help. Literally. The reality star and occasional sex tape participant shared the footage below this week, causing many followers to be both confused and concerned over her actions. And we can understand why. In the following video, Chyna remains silent, but the waterworks flow freely and clearly out of her eye sockets. She mouths along to the track “Fade Away” by Logic, which isn't exactly an uplifting single. Just consider a few of these lyrics from the song: This life, yeah, it done ate away, hard times never stayed away/But one thing I know day to day, I’mma do somethin' 'fore I fade away… Fade away, fade away/They gon’ know my name until it fade away. Why might Chyna be so sad at the moment? We're just a couple weeks removed from yet another sex tape scandal , as there's footage out there of Blac giving a blow job to an ex-lover named Mechie. That's gotta be pretty embarrassing for her. “Seems like the world is getting to her… gained the world, soul feeling lost,” one commenter wrote, while another fan added: “she a human just like the rest of us, she has feelings too.” It's true. And even though Chyna is now dating a virile 18-year old , she has been through A LOT over the past several months. Remember that whole revenge porn thing ? We can't blame Chyna if she's still struggling with that incident. Whatever is going on, we do send Blac our best. We never want to see any celebrity looking this depressed. Check out the following video to see what we mean:

Martin Shkreli Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison!!!

Like many Americans, the early months of 2018 may have left you with the distinct sense that the world has lost its way, and truth and justice have fallen victim to the pressures and temptations of the modern age. But it’s always darkest before the dawn, and today the citizenry of this proud nation can come together to celebrate the comeuppance of a world-class douche nozzle: You may remember Martin Shkreli as the “Pharma Bro” who jacked up the price of a life-saving medication by more than 5,000 percent during his brief time as CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. The world quickly learned that Shkreli was not merely a calculating business man who saw an opportunity to widen his profit margins, but a full-blown cartoon supervillain who reveled in sowing chaos, tormenting those who he believed to be his enemies, and generally behaving like a flat-out penis wrinkle. While the best-known example of Shkreli’s rampant dickishness might be his decision to purchase the exclusive rights to a $2 million Wu Tang Clan album, which he then refused to release to the public, his sinister actions were taking place behind closed doors. Back in December of 2015, Shkreli was arrested for securities fraud , having allegedly defrauded investors during his time as a hedge fund manager. Today, Shkreli was sentenced to seven years in prison for his crimes. Those present in the courtroom say the 34-year-old openly wept as his sentence was read. “I’m not the same person I was. I know right from wrong,” Shkreli told the judge while pleaing for clemency. “I know what it means to tell the truth and what it means to lie. I am terribly sorry I lost your trust. You deserve far better,” he told the investors he defrauded. “I was wrong. I was a fool. I should have known better.” Neither the judge nor US Attorney Jacqueline Kasulis was moved to sympathy for Shkreli: “I  want to make clear that Mr. Shkreli is not a child,” Kasulis told the court. “Mr. Shkreli is about to turn 35 years old, he’s a man. He’s not a teenager who just needs some mentoring. He is a man who needs to take responsibility for his actions.” Adding insult to injury, Shkreli’s own attorney told the judge that he often wants to punch his client in the face, but that the former CEOs status as “the most hated man in America” should not affect his sentencing. Shkreli has behind bars since September, when his parole was revoked after he posted threats to Hillary Clinton on his Facebook page. We’re sure he’ll be missed by … his mom? Maybe he had a doorman he was nice to, or something?
