Black Orlando Officer Killed Trying To Apprehend Murder Suspect People got life f**ked up . The police have brought us a LOT of heartache and pain recently, but murdering innocent cops isn’t about to solve the problems that face our community and the nation at large. According to ABCNews , a sista who wears the badge and blue has been killed down in Orlando by a crazed gunman. Master Sgt. Debra Clayton, a wife and mother, was alone at around 7 a.m. when she tried to contact a murder suspect near a Walmart, police said. She was shot multiple times, police said, and later died. Police identified her suspected killer as Markeith Loyd, and said he is also wanted as a suspect in the murder of a pregnant woman. Authorities said Loyd is known to officers and is considered dangerous. THIS is how we know and remember Sergeant Debra Clayton. Afro-Punk reveals : Philip Anschutz is the billionaire machine behind Coachella and his politics are icky, sticky with the slime of the swamp that folks like president-elect Trump loves to associate with. Anschutz owns AEG, the entertainment and sports company only second to Live Nation in its reach, with investments in the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings and the Staples Center to name a few. But really where his money is doing the most damage is in his support of socially conservative causes. ProgressNow Colorado’s executive director Ian Silverii was quoted saying, “Phil Anschutz’s extensive influence in Colorado politics has been known for years, but the degree of his support for anti-LGBTQ groups that fund extremist hate groups like Gordon Kligenschmitt’s ‘Pray in Jesus Name’ is shocking.” In even more covert efforts, the Anschutz Foundation gave $110,000 to Alliance Defending Freedom, $50,000 to National Christian Foundation, and $30,000 to Family Research Council between 2010 and 2013, all of which have been known to support prejudice against LGBTQ efforts.Since 2008, the Anschutz Foundation has donated $175,000 to the Mission America Foundation, a far-right organization whose president considers homosexuality to be a “deviance.” Anschutz’ Walden Media group funds films that support his political views as well, funding “Won’t Back Down” and “Waiting For Superman” which are pro-charter school and anti-teachers union. To add insult to injury, Greenpeace notes that media companies owned by Anschutz figure prominently in the denial of climate science and the promotion of climate-change skepticism and even went as far as suing a small town for their regulations on fracking, but eventually lost the case. According to Jezebel : Mission America Coalition—has been classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for its promotion of travel restrictions for HIV-positive citizens, among other radically right-wing views. For much of their relationship, Paris Jackson and Debbie Rowe have been estranged . Following the death of Michael Jackson in 2009, Paris and her siblings were raised primarily by the late pop singer’s family and Paris has publicly criticized Rowe on more than one occasion. For a long time, it seemed the mother and daughter would never have a healthy relationship. That all changed in July of 2016, when Rowe was diagnosed with breast cancer . Shortly thereafter, she and her daughter patched up their differences, and Paris paid tribute to her cancer-stricken mom on social media, thus sending the message that a relationship she’d once given up on had taken on new importance in her life. In the months since, Paris has stood by her mother’s side as she endured the long and difficult process of chemo therapy. Today, she shared in the celebration, as Rowe completed her treatment: Paris posted the photo above, along with a caption reading: “My badass mom, kickin butt n takin names. ain’t she f–kin fabulous????” In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rowe opened up about the extent to which Paris has helped her through this difficult time: “[Paris] is my rock, she’s amazing,” Rowe said. “She’s been with me the whole time. She was there. First phone call, [it] took her 30 seconds [to reach out] when she found out.” It was a big step, as prior to Debbie’s diagnosis, she and Paris hadn’t been seen in public together since 2013. Rowe has mostly kept a low profile in the years since she lost a very public custody battle with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, in 2009. It seems that some sort of falling out took place in 2013 that led to Debbie’s kids cutting ties with her, though the exact nature of the feud remains unknown. The status of her relationship (or lack thereof) with son Prince Jackson is also unknown. Of course, Debbie and Prince both seem to prefer life outside of the spotlight, so it’s possible that they’ve also reconciled and we just don’t know it. Paris, on the other hand, enjoys her massive social media following, as well as the ability to sing her mother’s praises to a large audience. We look forward to watching them enjoy one another’s company for many years to come.
