So much for that temporary Bachelor brouhaha. A week-plus after hurling a bit of shade in the direction of Cassie Randolph for the way in which she destroyed the heart and soul of Colton Underwood when she rejected him on air… Ben Higgins has reached back out to the Celebrity Couple of the Moment. And this time he only has kind words to say about their romance. “Love isn’t simple but it’s worth it!” Higgins, who anchored The Bachelor on Season 20, Tweeted yesterday, adding: “Congrats @CassieRandolph and @colton!” Underwood reposted this nice message and Cassie responded directly. “Truth! Thank you! :),” she said in reply. Cassie and Colton really did go through quite the journey prior to settling down into a relationship on Tuesday night’s finale . Just eight days earlier, Randolph had broken up with Underwood because she simply have strong enough feelings to accept a proposal, which she assumed was maybe coming on the final episode. This tore Colton in a million tiny pieces because she was the one suitor with whom he had truly fallen in love. Prior to Underwood winning Cassie back over by explaining to her on the finale that he had sent the other finalists home and that he was fine with only dating for awhile, Higgins was critical of the way Randolph had behaved. “I think she should have did something different with Colton. It’s very clear that she was not into him,” Ben told Entertainment Tonight on March 6. He continued at that time: “And so as much as she maybe felt the pressure to still be there and just still try to make this work – you know, you have a lot of people counting on you and watching – I think all she wanted to tell him was, ‘You’re a great guy, you’ve proven to be a great guy, but I’m just not that into you and as a result, I need to leave.’” He concluded that Cassie made a mistake in leading Colton on: “It felt like she was kind of dancing around the subject, going, ‘This is too fast, this isn’t right for me, I just don’t know.’ She knew.” Indeed, Randolph stunned Colton when she chose to leave the series during their fantasy suite date. But the pair then reunited and is now talking about an engagement . This proved to be true this week when well-known T.V. actors were charged for trying to finesse their kids into college. According to USA Today , Lori Loughlin is one person caught up in what’s being called the nation’s largest-ever college admissions bribery case prosecuted by the Justice Department. Loughlin famously played Aunt Becky in the forever-syndicated 1990s sitcom Full House . She was the love interest of the suave Uncle Jesse (played by John Stamos ), and eventually they got married and had two adorable twins in the show. Picture-perfect story right? Too bad Aunty Becky was trying to play the education system in real life. The Justice Department charged 33 affluent parents, which included television stars and CEOs, with participating in a detailed conspiracy to get their kids into elite schools. The scheme included cheating on the SAT and ACT, as well as parents paying coaches “enormous sums” to accept students who’s athletic credentials weren’t realistic. In some instances, coaches agreed to pretend that students applying to their school were highly recruited athletes, when in actuality, the student didn’t even compete in that specific sport. Along with parents, people who have been charged include two ACT and SAT exam administrators, one exam proctor and one college administrator. At the core of the case was an admissions consultant named William Rick Singer, according to federal prosecutors. They say he ran a college counseling organization called “The Key,” which accepted more than $25 million in payments from parents from 2011 to February 2019. Singer is accused of funneling money to coaches and other education officials to guarantee students’ admission into top schools like Georgetown, Yale, Stanford, the University of Southern California and Wake Forest University. According to NBC News , Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli agreed to pay $500,000 in bribes to boost their two daughters’ chances of getting admitted into USC, according to court papers. Loughlin even allegedly told a cooperating witness that she would arrange for one of her daughters to pose in a rowing machine in order to boost the false claim that she was the crew coxswain for the L.A. Marine Club team. Loughlin was charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Felicity Huffman of Desperate Housewives fame was also an actress charged in the conspiracy. She and her husband, actor William H. Macy , allegedly paid $15,000 to get one of their daughters unlimited time for her SAT exam. Huffman faces the same charges as Loughlin. Her husband, however, wasn’t charged, whereas Loghlin and her husband were both charged in the scandal. Whew! It’s a lot. And people didn’t waste time ridiculing the T.V. stars for their dishonest endeavors. Loughlin especially got a lot of heat when the Full House references came flying. On March 7, the OutDaughtered star Danielle Busby took to Instagram to announce to her fans that she is partnering with Always More, a clothing company started by former Little People, Big World star Audrey Roloff. And we’re cheering hard. “One thing is for sure, this @shopalwaysmore NEW ROSE SHERPA is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!” Danielle wrote while modeling the fluffy sweatshirt. “It literally is the softest out of all my sherpas I own.” She concluded her post by sharing her personal code: danielle15 for her fans to receive a discount. And she also, of course, tagged Audrey and her husband Jeremy Roloff in the pic. It took the new mom approximately three seconds to chime in, writing “LOVEEEEEEE” with three heart emojis in the comment section. Earlier this week, on the final part of that show’s latest reunion special, Teresa Giudice spoke in no uncertain terms about the current and future status of her marriage. With husband Joe Giudice scheduled to be released from jail this month, and then deported back to Italy for committing a felony as a non-U.S. citzen, Teresa told Andy Cohen that this will signal the end of her marriage . She spoke rather plainly about her view on the situation as well. “I mean, unless my kids say, ‘Mommy, I want to move to Italy,” we aren’t moving there with him, Teresa said, adding of her four daughters: “Gia’s going to college next year; I haven’t spoken to Milania or Audriana about it, we haven’t gotten there yet; and Gabriella already voiced her opinion to me. “She was like, ‘That would be so hard for me, Mommy.’ She doesn’t speak the language. She’s like, ‘That would kill me even more.’” The veteran reality star went on to say these kids – Gia, 18, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 9 — have “been through so much already.” Which is true. But it’s because their parents are selfish, entitled criminals. Each has pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and each has served time in jail as a result. Because Joe never became a U.S. citizen, a judge decided in October that he had to return to his native Italy after he completed his sentence. Considering their family and the love we assumed they had for each other, wouldn’t Teresa stay by her man’s side through this difficult time? Nope! “I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it,” she told Cohen, apparently appalled at the mere notion. “You know, I want somebody with me every day. I know exactly what happens. You know, I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens. We do the long-distance thing, it’s not going to work. I’d be like, ‘Bye, bye.’” At least she is making her feelings clear, we guess. How does Laurita feel about them? “I don’t understand Teresa’s decision to not stand by her man and keep her family intact,” she told Us Weekly . “If Joe is truly the love of her life and the father of her kids, you’d think she would go wherever he goes to keep the family together as a unit! Sad news out of the world of television today, as beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has revealed that he’s battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Trebek shared his diagnosis with fans in a heartfelt message posted on YouTube. Alex Trebek: I Have Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer “Hi everyone, I have some news to share with all of you and it’s in keeping with my longtime policy of being open and transparent with our Jeopardy! fan base,” Trebek said. “I also wanted to prevent you from reading or hearing some overblown or inaccurate reports regarding my health. So therefore, I wanted to be the one to pass along this information,” the 78-year-old TV legend continued. “Now, just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working. “And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. Trebek concluded his message with his trademark wry humor, saying: “Truth told, I have to! Because under the terms of my contract, I have to host Jeopardy! for three more years! “So help me. Keep the faith and we’ll win. We’ll get it done. Thank you.” Trebek has been the face of Jeopardy! since the show was revived in 1984 following its original run under host Art Fleming. Considered by many to be the most iconic game show host of television’s modern era, Trebek’s erudition and deadpan wit have endeared him to generations of fans. The news of his grim diagnosis has been met with great concern by Jeopardy ‘s devoted fan base — but many reactions on social media are tinged with the same hope that Trebek encouraged in his announcement. Clearly, Alex is a man who’s looking to the future.
