LaLa Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony: Married!

It’s (finally) official! After a five-year engagement, actress/MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez and NBA star Carmelo Anthony married in New York City Saturday night. Adorably, their 3-year-old son, Kiyan, escorted them to the altar. About 320 people, including pals Kim Kardashian and Ciara, were on hand to watch LaLa walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown, adorned with flowers. Carmelo proposed in 2005 with an 8-carat cushion-cut diamond, but later added 2 1/2-more carats with two matching wedding bands, worth $200,000. “They are ready to party!” Kevin Osbourne, who led the band that played during dinner, said. “A lot of soul and R&B. Michael Jackson to Stevie Wonder.” DJ Clue was also scheduled to spin. Congratulations to Carmelo Anthony and LaLa Vazquez! In the run-up to the big day, LaLa Vazquez joked that wedding planning was wearing her out, even though planner Mindy Weiss was handing the details. “I’m seeing the pre-wedding stress increase… The guest list went from this to that [indicating larger]. I’m trying to control it. It’s, like, over the top now!” Glad it worked out. Congratulations to the happy couple!

John Mayer to Play in Cleveland … and South Beach

For all his douchebag tendencies, John Mayer deserves credit for the creative way he just announced his upcoming tour dates, spoofing LeBron James in the process. Proving LeBron isn’t the only narcissistic star who can self-importantly declare where he’ll be playing, John posted a video announcing he is taking his talents to Ohio. Here’s one performer who will never betray you, Cleveland! So as not to disappoint fans in other cities, of course, he will also be heating up South Beach. And New York. And New Jersey. And Seattle. Gotta share the love! The singer-songwriter notes that while his high school career may not have equaled that of LeBron James , he did once score rather impressively in a movie theater … John Mayer Announcement

Mel Gibson’s "N!ggers" Rant – Listen to it Here

WARNING: This audio contains graphic and racist language. It has been left unedited so that the full impact of Mel’s rant can be heard. Mel Gibson was caught on tape spewing a vile, hate-filled racist rant and RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained the audio proof. We broke the story that Mel told Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his love child, “You're an embarrassment to me. You look like a f***ing bitch in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.” RadarOnline.com had heard the tape. Now, in a blockbuster world exclusive, RadarOnline.com is posting the audio of Mel’s disgusting outburst. You can listen to it here. http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/07/world-exclusive-audio-mel-gibsons-… Mel and Oksana have an eight-month-old daughter Lucia. Mel is being investigated by the L.A. County Sherriff’s Department in connection with domestic violence charges. Oksana has told police that Mel punched her on January 6, knocked out two of her teeth and was violent with her on several occasions, a source told RadarOnline.com. Oksana taped Mel because she was afraid for her life after he threatened to kill her, a source told RadarOnline.com. And on one part of the tape Mel tells her: , “I am going to come and burn the f**king house down… but you will blow me first.” (That excerpt is not posted here.) Mel and Oksana dated after his marriage to Robyn fell apart. RadarOnline.com posted the first photos of Mel and Oksana together, as they romped on a beach in Costa Rica. Robyn filed for divorce shortly after those pictures were posted. But his relationship with Oksana blew apart violently and Oksana went to law enforcement on July 5 and filed a domestic violence complaint against the Braveheart star. Mel has not commented on RadarOnline.com’s series of exclusives about his racist and profane rants that are caught on tape. He berates Oksana, calls her a “whore” and a “c*nt” and calls a Latino worker a “wetback.” The actor has been condemned by Rev. Jesse Jackson, the NAACP, anti-domestic violence groups and others in the wake of our ground-breaking exclusives on his behavior. Now we’ve released the first piece of audio showing Mel at his sickening worst. added by: Stoneyroad

‘American Idol’ Top 10 Begin ‘Beautiful Day’ With ‘Good Morning America’

Lee DeWyze, Crystal Bowersox and company strummed and belted through the rain in Central Park on Friday. By Christopher MacAllister Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox perform on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ on Friday Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images With their signs and banners eagerly clutched in their hands, fans marched into Central Park to see “American Idol” season-nine winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox chat with Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos about “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” before two 12-year-old girls competed and a guy who looked like Santa’s older brother competed in an “Idol” trivia quiz. And also to see all of the top 10 Idols perform for the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series on Friday (July 9). Crystal was the first one to perform, singing Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” while strumming her guitar, of course. She did the song justice despite the slight spray of rain. Next up was Lee, again with a guitar, awaiting his time to shine amid the continuing showers. The crowd shouted their love for him, as he responded to their makeshift banners, wishing happy birthdays and anniversaries. Asked about the life-changing experience of winning “Idol,” he said it was “important to remember where you came from” and managed to plug the October release of his upcoming album. He then performed “Treat Her Like a Lady” by the Cornelius Brothers, to which the audience reacted with more enthusiasm and excitement. Then all of the top 10 took the stage and the band began the riff for Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life.” The guys gave their best for the rousing anthem, before the girls took over with “My Life Would Suck Without You” by Kelly Clarkson. The rain seemed to bring down the energy of some, Lee in particular, who almost seemed bored at times. But as all 10 sang the song as an ensemble, they gave it a powerful finish. Before the last song, Lee, Andrew Garcia and Michael Lynche began to beat box and rap for the slightly drenched crowd. But instead of capping off the set with another group performance, Lee went solo for his single, “Beautiful Day” — and fans didn’t seem to mind the irony of the bad weather. Actually, as one fan told MTV News, there more than one reason to consider it a beautiful day. “It was great to see the American Idols on stage together, and the rain was nice, as it has been so hot!” Related Photos ‘American Idol’ Season 9 Finalists Perform On ‘Good Morning America’ American Idol Season Nine Cast Glam Up For Tour

Eminem’s Recovery Goes Platinum, Stays Healthy At #1

Drake’s Thank Me Later holds onto Billboard #2, while ‘Eclipse’ soundtrack jumps up to #3 with movie’s release. By Gil Kaufman Eminem Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage He may not have crossed the platinum plateau in his first week on shelves, but Eminem cruised past it in the second week, as Recovery moved another 313,000 copies to hold on to the #1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart. Despite a 58 percent sales dip, Slim Shady bested all comers with his latest, as his two-week total went up over 1 million, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. That was more than enough to keep beating Drake ‘s Thank Me Later, which sold 105,000 copies for a three-week total just shy of 709,000 and the #2 slot on the chart. And after “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” smashed box-office records last week, the soundtrack moves up seven spots to #3 (65,000, up 69 percent). The only newcomers in the top 10 are which lands at #4 in its first week (58,000) and Warped Tour rappers 3OH!3 , whose Streets of Gold comes in at #7 (41,000). The rest of the top 10 is made of familiar faces: the NOW 34 collection (#5, 45,000), Justin Bieber ‘s My World 2.0 (#6, 41,000), Jack Johnson ‘s To the Sea (#8, 35,000), Miley Cyrus ‘ Can’t Be Tamed (dropping six spots to #9 as sales tailed off by 68 percent to 32,000) and Lady Antebellum ‘s Need You Now (#10, 30,000). Further down the line, disco revivalists Scissor Sisters debut at #18 with Night Work (18,000), and the score for “Eclipse” is close behind at #20 (17,000). The march down the charts continues for Christina Aguilera ‘s Bionic , which falls another 10 spots in its fourth week on the charts, dropping to #32 on sales of 12,000 for a one-month total of just under 182,000. Indie faves Wolf Parade land at #48 with Expo 86 (8,000), and punk survivor Alejandro Escovedo , with a little help from Bruce Springsteen , debuts at #101 with Street Songs of Love (5,000). Over on the iTunes charts, Eminem holds onto #1 on the album tally, with the “Eclipse” soundtrack surging up six spots to #2, followed by Drake, 3OH!3, The-Dream, Johnson, Scissor Sisters, the “Eclipse” score, Hillsong Live ‘s A Beautiful Exchange and the Roots’ How I Got Over . The recent releases by Cyrus, Ozzy Osbourne , Sarah McLachlan and B.o.B have all been knocked out of the top 10. Though iTunes doesn’t provide sales data, suffice it to say that Katy Perry ‘s “California Gurls” is hanging strong on the singles list, knocking Slim Shady out of the #1 spot he held last week with his Rihanna duet, “Love the Way You Lie.” Taio Cruz has to settle for moving up six spots to #3 with “Dynamite,” followed by B.o.B’s “Airplanes, Travie McCoy ‘s “Billionaire,” Mike Posner ‘s “Cooler Than Me” and Jason DeRulo ‘s “Ridin’ Solo.” The singles chart is filled out by Eminem again at #8 with “Not Afraid,” Usher at #9 with “OMG” and Drake’s “Find Your Love” at #10. Look for chart debuts next week from Big Boi, Kelis , Enrique Iglesias and Kylie Minogue . Megan Fox Talks Hollywood Marriages

‘[T]he couples that you see in the tabloids are being reported about even when there’s not even a problem,’ Fox tells Steppin’ Out magazine. By Jocelyn Vena Megan Fox Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images Megan Fox tied the knot last week with her longtime love, Brian Austin Green, in a very hush-hush ceremony in Hawaii. Never one to hold back on her opinions on various topics, such as her love of older men like Green and her tumultuous relationship with director Michael Bay, Fox is now speaking out about the often short shelf life of Hollywood marriages. She notes that it’s not just in Hollywood that she sees marriages dissolving. “I think couples generally aren’t staying together. The divorce rate is so high right now,” she tells next week’s Steppin’ Out magazine. “But I think [the reason it’s high in] Hollywood specifically is because of two things.” “Everything is so easily accessed in Hollywood. Whatever you want you have at your fingertips. So for a lot of people, that temptation is just too much,” she said. “You lose the ability to cherish something else because there are so many others out there just waiting for you.” The next problem, according to Fox? The amount of media coverage given to Hollywood’s high-profile relationships. “[T]he couples that you see in the tabloids are being reported about even when there’s not even a problem,” she said. “Being on cover after cover after cover, the relationship becomes even harder to maintain than it normally is — which isn’t easy to begin with. Your life being out there in the open is almost unbearable.” With all of that in mind, Fox says the way to make a Hollywood marriage work is “both people have to be incredibly strong people to make it through that. It’s sad, and I think the media is responsible for a lot of it. At least for planting the seed. Like I said earlier, actors are very insecure people to begin with.” Related Photos Lovebirds: Megan Fox And Brian Austin Green The Evolution Of: Megan Fox

‘Mad Men’ Star Christina Hendricks Happy Fans Are ‘Celebrating’ Her Figure

‘It’s like, thank you for letting me be me,’ voluptuous actress tells Health magazine. By Mawuse Ziegbe Christina Hendricks Photo: David Livingston/ Getty Images “Mad Men” has captivated fans with its glossy take on high-powered, mid-century New Yorkers who clink cocktails during meetings and indulge in lusty inter-office trysts, all the while maintaining their dapper sheen throughout the debauchery. Ginger-haired secretary Joan Holloway has mesmerized viewers with both her thorough command of office politics and the throwback appeal of her whiplash curves. But actress Christina Hendricks, who portrays Holloway on the AMC hit, says she’s surprised by the attention. In an interview with Health magazine , Hendricks seemed taken aback when told that many women admire her figure. “Really? They don’t say Jessica Alba? ‘Cause that’s what I say!” the star laughed. Hendricks added that she appreciates all the love for her form, especially in light of her previous experiences in Hollywood. “It’s such a compliment, because of all those times I had agents who were like, ‘You have to lose some weight,’ and all of a sudden, people are celebrating it. It’s like: ‘Oh, thank you! Thank you for letting me be me,’ ” she said. Hendricks does concede that the scrutiny can get a little odd. When told that “Christina Hendricks’ cup size” was a popular search term related to the star, she shrugged it off. “It’s weird,” the actress said. “But it doesn’t surprise me.” Even though her retro buxom look may rival starlets like Alba in terms of desirability, Hendricks did admit that she can be affected by some of the e-hate that gets thrown at celebs. “I made the grave mistake after one awards show of reading comments online about what I wore, and I was like, [gasps] ‘Oh my God, people are so mean!’ ” she said. “I still remember all those negative comments, despite all the wonderful positivity. That’s why we’re all in therapy! [We remember] the 10 bad things that happen to us instead of the 100 nice ones.” While a snarky comment here and there might sting, Hendricks said she shares a tough attitude with her “Mad Men” character. “I think Joan and I have a ‘no excuses’ kind of mentality — I’m going to stand by my decisions, no regrets, no apologies,” she said. “But she is far more confident than I am. She’s far more confident than most women are in the world!”

Ne-Yo’s ‘Beautiful Monster’ Video: Watch A Sneak Peek!

Black-leather-clad dancers, sexy ladies take over nightclub in first look at clip for synth-heavy track. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Victor Barreiro Ne-Yo on the set of his music video for “Beautiful Monster” Photo: MTV News Father-to-be Ne-Yo filmed the video for his new single, “Beautiful Monster,” earlier this week in Los Angeles and the Grammy-winning singer said the clip is just the first in a visual story he plans to tell on his next album. ” ‘Beautiful Monster,’ in a nutshell, represents the love interest/ archnemesis in the story [of] Libra Scale, which the entire album is based off of,” the singer told MTV News. “She’s a monster, beautiful monster/ Beautiful monster, but I don’t mind,” he sings on the song’s chorus. “And I need her, said I need her/ Beautiful monster, but I don’t mind/ No, I don’t mind.” The synth-heavy number is the lead offering from Ne-Yo’s upcoming set , one he promised us earlier this year would be “a little bit different.” And the sound of “Beautiful Monster” is certainly long on overseas influences. When it came time to shoot a clip for the song, Ne-Yo admitted he usually accepts the treatments his directors come up with. But this time, the Def Jam star stretched, crafting a concept on his own, a career first. Going forward, the singer explained, each video will connect to the overall story he wants to tell through his fourth solo LP, the follow-up to 2008’s Year of the Gentleman. ” ‘Beautiful Monster’ is one piece of a very long and intricate story,” Ne-Yo revealed. “When you see the first video, make sure that you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention — you don’t want to miss nothing.” What did you think of the “Beautiful Monster” sneak peek? Let us know, and we might air your comments Friday night on MTV!
