Looks like Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett is taking her reality show on the road … or at least hitting the road and leaving the familiar confines of E! for WE tv. After two successful reality series chronicling the ins and outs of her career and personal life, she’s ready to turn over a new leaf. Okay, not really. WE tv announced today that it will air Kendra on Top , a new docu-soap series that will pick up where E!’s Girls Next Door spinoff Kendra left off. So it’s basically the same, just on a station fewer people have heard of. “I’m so excited to be joining the WE tv family!” she said. “I’m thrilled to continue showing the world my story and everything coming up in my life.” Everything that comes up in NFL player hubby Hank Baskett and adorable son Hank IV’s lives will also be chronicled, of course. Those are her boys. The show has yet to go into production, but filming is expected to begin this month. Expect a lot of cute moments … and outfits like the one above. A 14-episode season of Kendra On Top will begin airing this summer.
Just when it seemed like the world’s most unexpected feud was dying down, Jonathan Cheban has stepped in to voice his take on Kim Kardashian’s war of words with Jon Hamm. How does the random reality star and hanger-on feel about the Mad Men actor dissing his BFF as an example of stupidity in our culture ? Words We Never Thought We’d Write: Are you on Team Cheban or Team Hamm? “I think Jon Hamm needs to just shut up and stop being such a mad man!” Cheban said at an Ocean Drive party last night. “He needs to mind his own business, because Kim works hard. They do different things – it’s a whole different world.” Cheban added – and we’re not making this up – that Kim Kardashian is both more popular than Jon Hamm and will be relevant for longer than the Emmy winner. “Put Jon Hamm in a mall, and more people will go up to the people working at the Burger King than they will to him. Bring Kim to a mall and there will be a riot. They’re in two different businesses. Kim’s pop culture and what people like. “It’s a lot of work, and she’s here to stay. Let’s see where he is after Mad Men .” Kardashian, for her part, has mostly taken the high road in this unexpected rivalry. She’s too busy posing topless on Twitter to really respond. Kim might need an entire village for this one. Via Radaronline reports : Speaking with Ryan Seacrest Tuesday, Kim Kardashian addressed rumors she’s been hooking up with Kanye West, as well as responding to new barbs from Mad Men Star Jon Hamm. Asked about the Kanye whispers, Kim joked, “I think I’m still married” — referring to her ill-fated union with Kris Humphries — before launching into a vague denial she’s romantically attached to the Paranoid singer. “I’m really not dating right now at all: I’m really just focusing on work,” the entrepreneur, 31, told Seacrest. “I know I always say this, but I’m trying to just get through my situation and just have fun.” No one said anything about you “dating” him Kim, we all know he’s smashing those cakes to smithereens though! Apparently Kimmy Cakes doesn’t have as much of a way with men as we thought. At least not when it comes to “Mad Men.” Actor Jon Hamm continues to be publicly critical of the “actress” and her brand of entertainment — despite her defense that it’s careless to call a businesswoman such as herself an idiot. Channeling his straight-shooting character Don Draper, Jon Hamm put Kim Kardashian in her place Monday, dissing the curvaceous celebutard yet again. NBC “Today” show host Matt Lauer asked the AMC retro-series actor to clarify the earlier comments he made to Elle UK about Kardashian being a famous-for-being-famous “idiot,” which the reality starlet called “careless.” “I don’t think it was careless. I think it was accurate,” he told Lauer. “It’s part of the culture that I certainly don’t identify with,” he said of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star and her mentor Paris Hilton. “I don’t really understand the appeal of it other than in a sort of car crash sensibility, and it’s not something that I partake in or enjoy, but it is what it is and here we are.” The whole flap began when Hamm was quoted in the British women’s mag saying, “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.” He added, “Being a f—–g idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.” Kardashian, 31, who got her start in a “leaked” tape with Ray J, took umbrage at the slight. “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs and creates, ‘stupid,’ is, in my opinion, careless,” she tweeted last Tuesday. Hamm, 41, back-pedaled a little later that day when E! News asked him about the comment. “It’s surprising to me that it has become remotely a story,” he told the celebrity channel. “I don’t know Ms. Kardashian; I know her public persona. “What I said was meant to be more on (the) pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it, and that is her right.” Vincent Kartheiser, who plays weaselly Pete Campbell on “Mad Men,” also piped up on NBC, backing Hamm’s indictment of the booty-ful Kardashian. “I agree,” Kartheiser told Lauer. “(Hamm) said it very eloquently. I agree with everything he said. I think our society enjoys to turn on the television and see someone who’s maybe awful and they can say, ‘Maybe I’m not as terrible as that person.’ ” But Betty Draper begs to differ. January Jones, who plays Hamm’s wife on “Mad Men,” last week told womencentric website Sheknows.com, “I watch a lot of reality TV. I love that show.” The reality-show star, who also is featured in “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” so far has not responded to Hamm’s latest remarks. If you watch as much “Mad Men” as we do, you know that Betty Draper is also an idiot. Do you agree with Jon Hamm’s comments or does Kimmy Cakes not get enough credit for all her “hard work”? NFL star Brandon Marshall has been accused of – and denied – punching a woman in the face at a New York nightclub despite detailed reports to the contrary. According to reports, the wide receiver was outside a club in Chelsea around 4 a.m. last Sunday morning when he got into an argument with a group of people. He allegedly threw a punch that connected with 24-year-old Christin Myles. It’s unclear at this time if Brandon Marshall intended to strike the woman … or if she was collateral damage as Brandon was trying to KO someone else. Either way, Myles says she suffered a black eye and filed a police report . According to the New York Post , Myles was nervous about filing because of Brandon’s high profile status, but ultimately she decided to go through with it. But Marshall’s lawyer says the 6’4″, 230-pounder did NOT strike Myles, however, claiming she was hurt in a DIFFERENT brawl that went down at the club. Remind us never to go out to said unnamed club. BTW: Marshall was just unloaded by the Miami Dolphins in a trade to the Chicago Bears for a couple of draft picks. Nicely played by the ‘Phins.
Jon Hamm appeared at PaleyFest last night, an annual event in Los Angeles that honors the best in television, and answered questions about Mad Men season five, his favorite episode from season four and… Kim Kardashian?!? Yes, the comments Hamm made to Elle UK earlier in the week – in which he referred to the culture’s obsession with stupidity and specifically called out Kardashian and Paris Hilton – are still making headlines, largely because Kim responded to them via Twitter on Tuesday. “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless,” the plastic moron wrote . So… take it away again, Jon! “It’s surprising to me that it has become remotely a story. I don’t know Ms. Kardashian, I know her public persona,” Hamm told E! News. “What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right.” Have you taken a side in this mini feud yet? Do so now:
It’s totally on between… Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian?!? The Mad Men star made headlines this week for telling Elle UK he was baffled by a society that rewards ” being a f-ckin idiot ,” specifically referencing Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton in the process. Now, the reality star has responded via Twitter, writing: “Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless. “I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another.” It should be noted that Kim posted this message not long after also posting the above photo of her cleavage. Has anybody seen Christina Hendricks ‘ hooters? Just hours after pics taken from the Mad Men star’s cell phone leaked online, Hendricks says that her phone was recently hacked…but not all of the pics are of her. She doesn’t deny that sexy pictures of her posing at home in her bra and a V-neck t-shirt (left) are actually hers (how could she? You can see her face in the shot), but claims that the lone topless pic in the set is the work of a pneumatic imposter. You know, Christina, there’s only one way to definitively prove those aren’t your boobs. Show ’em to us…with your face in the shot this time! In case you missed all of the weekend’s riveting PR stunts accidental leaks, here’s all you need to know: Christina Hendricks , Olivia Munn , and one of the stars from the debauchery fest Project X got caught up in an assortment of salacious news that warns us once again against the dangers of doing sexy things in the vicinity of recording devices if you’re famous. (Unless, ahem, you’ve got a project to push.) Nude pics, Photoshopped naughtiness, and even – gasp! – a secret porn past were revealed thanks to the Internet; hit the jump to catch up as we wait for the inevitable awesome Taiwanese animated recap to drop. I’d save the best for last, but I honestly can’t decide which of the weekend’s titillating tales was tops. So we’ll start with boobs: Christina Hendricks’ boobs, to be exact. The Mad Men / Drive actress acknowledged that she’d been hacked but insisted that a nude NSFW shot included in a batch of photos posted this weekend is not her. And who are we to argue? So an actress took camera phone pictures of herself. And she, being a lady, has breasts. Revelations! Even if she is currently pimping the upcoming return of Mad Men with various other sexually-charged interviews and even if the photo’s legit, it’s just an innocent blip on the radar compared to… Olivia Munn and her alleged naughty lingerie photos hit Sunday as well, notable only because of the instances of extremely cheesy dirty talk Photoshopped onto them, ostensibly for private dissemination to an acquaintance. Named Chris… as in ex Chris Pine , perhaps? Would former G4 hostess Munn take the time to Photoshop whilst sexting? Who knows, but wouldn’t that be kind of awesomely nerdy of her if she did? While she doesn’t seem to have anything to push until this summer’s Magic Mike — and perhaps no obvious reason to leak said pics herself — Munn pleads the Hendricks ” It wasn’t me ” defense. Whatever. I don’t know how she does it. Last but certainly not least we have a bit of news that hit earlier in the weekend, on Saturday, super coincidentally-timed to give Project X the strategic viral profile it needed. That’s right folks, it’s porn . And it appears to have been performed, circa 2008, by the film’s relative newcomer Jonathan Daniel Brown (AKA JB, the sweet, chubby one). In their report, TMZ cites “sources close to Jonathan” with the scoop, probably because “makers of Project X ” or “Jonathan Daniel Brown’s publicist” or, also possibly, “The guys still trying to make money off the thing four years later” would’ve been too conspicuous; AVN, meanwhile, digs deep to conjure a very explicit interview with one of Brown’s confidantes from the film in question, an episode named Nerd Hunting in adult series entitled F*ck Team 5 . With a gem like that on his resume, how could Brown not have gotten the Project X gig? On the one hand, I feel for these individuals and the invasion of privacy they’ve suffered in and because of the limelight. On the other, the trifecta of events serves as a good reminder to Hollywood’s image-conscious up and comers. So what have we learned? 1. Keep a lock on your cell phone security. 2. When in doubt, say it wasn’t you! And 3. Porn never really goes away, does it? Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .
Alison Brie told MTV News at Sundance that ‘Community’ is still shooting despite the show remaining off of NBC’s schedule. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Alison Brie Photo: MTV News Greendale Community College’s doors might be closed at the moment, but that doesn’t mean class isn’t quietly in session inside. Late last year, NBC pulled the critically acclaimed but criminally under-watched “Community” from its schedule, with a return date yet to be announced. Some fans were so outraged by the network’s decision that they staged a flash mob outside of NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Center headquarters earlier this month, but to no avail — the show remains on the sidelines to this date. Still, progress is being made on the “Community” set itself, at least. Actress Alison Brie, who stars in the series as the beautiful but quirky Annie Edison, told MTV News that work on the NBC comedy is ongoing despite the show’s disappearance from the network’s schedule. “We’re still wrapping up ‘Community,’ our third season,” Brie told us at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where she was appearing in support of her new film “Save the Date.” Asked about when the show might return, she claimed: “I don’t know! It’s in the air! It’s America’s biggest cliffhanger! I don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re still shooting the third season, so hopefully it’s going to air in March or April.” Meanwhile, if “Community” fans are looking for more Brie in their lives, they don’t need to tune into NBC. Chances are high that the actress will reprise her role as Pete Campbell’s wife, Trudy, on the upcoming season of AMC’s “Mad Men,” returning to airwaves for the first time in over a year on March 25. “You may [see me in more ‘Mad Men’],” Brie assured us about her probable return to the Emmy-winning drama, now entering its fifth season. “You should definitely tune into ‘Mad Men’ this season, because I hear it’s going to be very good.” What do you make of NBC’s decision to pull “Community”?
