Jesse Eisenberg on Zombieland 2, Good Sequels and Missing John Ritter

Last week I met actor Jesse Eisenberg for a lengthy discussion of subjects ranging from his coming-of-age in the New York theater to his beloved Zombieland and his awards-season prospects for The Social Network. We covered a lot of ground, which I’ll be retracing this week in a five-part series here at Movieline. And so we arrive, sadly, at the end of our five-part journey with Jesse Eisenberg. By the time the actor and I reached this point, the done-to-death The Social Network had given way to… well, quite a few subjects. Let’s just say that in this last installment of our bar-side conversation, it’s a movie-reference blowout: The Godfather , Jurassic Park , all six Star Wars films and three Lord of the Rings films, among others, made the cut. We also discussed the pending progress of Zombieland 2 and Eisenberg’s surprising affection for the star of Three’s Company .

Bret Michaels To Appear On Live ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Finale

Poison singer is competing against actress Holly Robinson Peete on Sunday’s show. By Gil Kaufman Bret Michaels on “Celebrity Apprentice” Photo: Ray Tamarra/Getty Images A few days before Bret Michaels is scheduled to play his first concert since a brain hemorrhage landed him in the intensive care unit, the Poison singer will appear on next Sunday’s finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Michaels made the cut on Sunday night’s (May 16) edition of the show — taped several months ago — which paved the way for him to make his comeback on this week’s live finale, where he will go head-to-head with actress Holly Robinson Peete. “I came in here as a complete underdog,” Michaels said after getting the news on the show. “You know what everyone’s mistake was? They so underestimated me!” Michaels made the cut after Sharon Osbourne, chef Curtis Stone and model/wrestler Maria Kanellis were eliminated. Michaels has been competing on “Celebrity Apprentice” in support of his chosen charity, the American Diabetes Association. The singer, who was diagnosed as a child with Type 1 diabetes, was first sidelined on April 12, when he was rushed to a hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Ten days later, he suffered a brain hemorrhage that kept him in the intensive care unit for two weeks. After making rapid progress, though, Michaels is in the midst of intensive physical rehab and announced last week that he will make his live return at the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, Mississippi, on May 28. He is also reportedly set to begin a tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd on June 10 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Before any of that, though, Michaels will pay a visit to “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Wednesday to discuss his recent health travails. Jersey Shore Cast Off to Destroy Somewhere Else

Jersey Shore Season Two is ready for takeoff. Literally. MTV has instructed their rag tag band of juiced up meatheads and mediocre skanks to pack their stuff and prepare to defame an unnamed new city. Camera crews will apparently start paying visits to the homes of Snooki, The Situation, DJ Pauly D , Ronnie, Vinny, Jwoww, and Sammi this coming weekend. The network is attempting to get footage of them all as they attempt to cram tanning beds, industrial strength cans of gel and Ed Hardy shirts into carry-ons. WARNING : These people may be headed to a beach near you. Pack now . The Jersey Shore cast is supposed to fly out to Season 2’s mystery location some time next week … where will they be creepin’ on, exactly? It’s a bit unclear. All indications are that it will be Miami’s South Beach , which is really the only logical destination, although this has not officially been confirmed by the network. We could see that … unlike, say, Jersey Shore: Cape Cod . Also no word yet on whether Angelina Pivarnick made the cut and was asked to come along, or if anyone besides us even knows who Angelina Pivarnick is.
