David Guetta ‘Had A Blast’ Filming With Web Sensation Keenan Cahill

Dance-music superstar makes the trip to 15-year-old’s Chicago home to shoot latest lip-synching video. By Akshay Bhansali David Guetta Photo: MTV News When will David Guetta begin recording with U2 ? We can’t confirm just yet, but on Tuesday (January 25), the French hitmaker added yet another name to an already stellar list of collaborators. Only this time, he’s not pairing up with Akon, Black Eyed Peas or Madonna, but Internet sensation Keenan Cahill . In just over a year, the Chicago 15-year-old has become a Web phenomenon by filming himself lip-synching pop songs from his bedroom. Ke$ha, Usher, Willow Smith, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Pink are just a few artists who have gotten the Cahill treatment; his deliveries of “Like a G6,” “Only Girl (In the World)” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” have more than 7 million views. Thus far, his version of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” is the most popular, with more than 27 million views. Late last year, Cahill appeared on “Chelsea Lately,” where the bespectacled teen gave host Chelsea Handler his digits and premiered his clip of 50 Cent and Jeremih’s “Down on Me,” in which Fif appears. He also appeared on MTV’s New Year’s Eve special donning 2011 shades in a vid set to Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.” Cahill premiered his latest achievement, featuring David Guetta, on Tuesday, set to a medley of Guetta’s hit songs (“Sexy Chick,” “Memories,” “When Love Takes Over,” “Gettin’ Over You” and his BEP classic “I Gotta Feeling”). When MTV News caught up with Guetta last week, he had just returned from Chicago after filming the clip with Cahill in his bedroom, and he was still beaming from the experience. “I had a blast,” Guetta said. “I went to Chicago, and we just shot that video. It’s really cool. It’s really funny, and he’s a really clever kid. Keenan is really a YouTube phenomenon. It’s unbelievable. He’s only 15, and he really knows what he’s doing. His expressions are really funny and interesting.” Guetta described a bit about what happens in the clip. “I was behind him. Sometimes I was there, sometimes I wasn’t. It was about him, really. I think that’s better like that,” he said. “I just wanted to show support, and I thought it was a cool thing. I’m sure people are going to love this.” And if Cahill weren’t big enough already, Guetta certainly knows a place where he is set to become a whole lot more famous. “I’m sure people are going to love this. Probably, he’s going to become really big now in France,” Guetta laughed.

Lady Gaga Or Britney Spears? RuPaul’s Drag Queens Weigh In

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season three premieres Monday (January 24) on Logo. By Damian Vaca Lady Gaga and Britney Spears Photo: Getty Images WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — Reluctantly crouched behind the red carpet line, drag queens primping and taking their time, the flashbulbs go off and the cameras go up, all of them yearning for their chance at the cup! On Tuesday night, we caught up with the stars of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” as they head into battle to see who will be the top drag queen of season three. Amid the glam and sequins in the air, competition was definitely on everyone’s mind, so what better time to find out who RuPaul’s drag queens predict will rule 2011: Lady Gaga or Britney Spears? “With Britney and Gaga coming out with new [albums] this year — it’s going to be Gaga,” Shangela, of season two, predicted. “Gaga runs the world, so Britney better take a seat and enjoy.” Tough words about a woman who has reached the #1 iTunes spot in 19 countries since her new single, “Hold it Against Me,” was released a little over a week ago. Season three’s Venus D Lite, who could give Madonna a run for her money, stated, “I would probably say Britney — only because Gaga has had her spotlight moment.” However, Raja, also from season three, disagreed: “I’m going to say Gaga. … She challenges everyone and really puts out new ideas, and I certainly appreciate that.” With both artists set to premiere highly anticipated videos in the next couple of months, fans are waiting to see what new creative visions the stars will bring to the world of pop culture. “I would love to see [Gaga] just be an artist and not just a character,” said Sonique of season two. “With Lady Gaga, you can’t really expect anything other than something that is going to be controversial.” season three castmember Mimi Imfurst, who arrived on the red carpet in an epic “worldly” outfit, is definitely on Team Gaga: “Lady Gaga has all the creativity that Britney doesn’t have, plus all the talent she doesn’t have, so Lady Gaga all the way.” When all is said and done, one thing’s for sure: RuPaul’s drag queens definitely aren’t shy about expressing their opinions. Season three of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” premieres Monday (January 24) at 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. Central on Logo. Who do you think will conquer 2011: Britney or Gaga? Sound off below! LOL not so much! Warm up dancers. … It’s Full Out! … Thrilled to get back in the studio tomorrow and Lock in ‘HIAM.’ … It’s getting closer peeps!” Friedman has said that Spears is taking some risks in this video. “This is a dance video. Rehearsals can get pretty rough,” he explained. “[It’s] the hardest dance track that she’s ever put out. … It’s infectious. The beat gets inside of you, and just when you think you know it, it takes a turn. The song, in particular, is one of my favorite songs I’ve heard off the bat. Justin Bieber Shoots His Return To ‘CSI’

Singer tweeted a photo of himself in makeup for February 17 episode. By Gil Kaufman Justin Bieber appears on “CSI” Photo: CBS If you were concerned that Justin Bieber snapped and got into a scrap with an overly aggressive photographer, relax, it’s just makeup. Images of Bieber with a pretty impressive shiner started zooming around the Internet on Tuesday, but the picture is just a still from the set of “CSI,” which the singer will revisit next month. Bieber, who first appeared on the show in September, tweeted the photo of his makeup-caked black eye on Tuesday along with the message “On set … where? Let’s just say I’m back to my evil ways. #badass.” According to Entertainment Weekly, after getting good notices his first time around, Bieber is set to reprise his role as troubled teen Jason McCann in an upcoming February 17 episode of the crime procedural titled “Targets of Obsession.” The show will air during February sweeps (go figure), six days after Justin’s movie debut in his 3-D biopic/concert film, “Never Say Never,” which opens in theaters on February 11. In his first “CSI” appearance, which was Bieber’s acting debut, he portrayed a young kid whose older brother had been killed at the end of the previous season. Cops suspected that Bieber’s character took out his anger over his brother’s death on authority by planting bombs. In his second go ’round, currently being filmed, show regular Nick (George Eads) tips Jason off that he might be in “imminent danger.” Last year, “CSI” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told MTV News that the teen star would be returning to the show, explaining how the September episode left unanswered questions about his character. “At the end of the episode, we’re left with the question: Is Jason a good kid stuck in a bad situation or is Jason a bad kid hiding behind his cuteness?” Mendelsohn said. “You can see why Justin was such a perfect choice to play this role. … It’s an explosive story.” While fans will surely cheer his return to TV, they recently learned that Bieber will not be the subject of an episode of “Glee,” as was widely rumored. After stories began to swirl that Bieber Fever was slated to sweep McKinley High, Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the Fox hit, cleared things up, explaining the role that the teen star’s music would play in an upcoming episode. Murphy maintained that unlike other superstars whose repertories have received “Glee” overhauls — like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Madonna — Bieber’s current list of hits isn’t long enough to sustain an entire hour of New Directions-helmed numbers. “Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn’s [Dianna Agron] approval.” Related Artists Justin Bieber

Britney Spears’ Pop Rivalries, From Christina Aguilera To Lady Gaga

‘She’s sort of left a lot of these girls in the dust,’ one Spears expert tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Christina Garibaldi Lady Gaga and Britney Spears Photo: Getty Images For more than a decade, Britney Spears has been pitted against some of her pop peers, including Madonna, Jessica Simpson, Christian Aguilera and, most recently, Lady Gaga . She’s publicly buried the hatchet with Madonna and Aguilera — sharing a three-way kiss with the pair at the 2003 VMAs — and never really paid much attention to the hype of other so-called rivalries. “Since the beginning of her career, she’s always been pitted against whatever big pop person there is,” MTV News’ Jim Cantiello explained. “I feel like artists have had rivalries with Britney and she hasn’t really had rivalries with them,” Entertainment Weekly ‘s Leah Greenblatt added. “She’s sort of left a lot of these girls in the dust.” While Brit has managed to stay on top all these years, a new pop princess might give her a run for her money. “I think Gaga’s already been talking about what she is gonna do. She has said that her album is going to be more than just dance songs, and I’m guessing that Britney might be making a different type of album, which is great, because in that sense, Brit and Gaga don’t have to compete,” Perez Hilton said of any potential new rivalry. “They’re each doing their own very distinct thing.” Greenblatt agreed: “It just seems like they’re operating on different wavelengths right now. I mean, Britney’s proven herself over such a longer period of time than Gaga has. I don’t think that Gaga can just wipe her off the pop royalty board.” At the end of the day, it’s not at all about competition, Cantiello explained. “Britney’s going in the super dance route and Gaga’s doing a super personal album,” he said. “It comes a point where we’ve got to stop comparing the two.” Plus, it’s hard for these two to really ever compete with one another, since Gaga has admitted to waving the Britney flag . “I was 13 when Britney became a star,” she said in 2009. “I was amazed by the level of the superfan that Britney created. I want to bring back the feeling that I used to feel.” Who has been Britney’s worthiest adversary? Share your thoughts in the comments! No Justin Bieber-Centric ‘Glee’ Episode Planned

‘Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,’ co-creator Ryan Murphy explains. By Mawuse Ziegbe Justin Bieber Photo: George Pimentel/ WireImage Bad news for Beliebers: A Justin Bieber “Glee” tribute episode isn’t happening anytime soon. After rumors began to swirl that Bieber Fever was slated to sweep McKinley High, Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the Fox hit cleared up the role of the teen star’s music in an upcoming episode. However, this season of “Glee” won’t be completely Bieber-free: “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn’s [Dianna Agron] approval.” Murphy has recently been giving up more details about some of the storylines and smash hits set to turn up on “Glee.” Gwyneth Paltrow will return to reprise her role as feisty substitute teacher Holly Holliday for a two-episode arc that includes dating glee-club leader Will Schuester. The hit show will also take a chance on Gaga’s soon-to-be released single “Born This Way,” which will serve as inspiration for an episode airing in either March or April. “I love that that song is [an] anthem,” Murphy explained of giving the track major “Glee” love. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.” Are you bummed there is no Justin Bieber “Glee” episode?
