No Justin Bieber-Centric ‘Glee’ Episode Planned

‘Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,’ co-creator Ryan Murphy explains. By Mawuse Ziegbe Justin Bieber Photo: George Pimentel/ WireImage Bad news for Beliebers: A Justin Bieber “Glee” tribute episode isn’t happening anytime soon. After rumors began to swirl that Bieber Fever was slated to sweep McKinley High, Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the Fox hit cleared up the role of the teen star’s music in an upcoming episode. Murphy maintained that unlike other superstars whose repertories have been “Glee” overhauls — like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Madonna — Bieber’s current list of hits isn’t long enough to sustain an entire hour of New Directions-helmed numbers. “Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogs,” he told Entertainment Weekly . However, this season of “Glee” won’t be completely Bieber-free: “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a JB song to win Quinn’s [Dianna Agron] approval.” Murphy has recently been giving up more details about some of the storylines and smash hits set to turn up on “Glee.” Gwyneth Paltrow will return to reprise her role as feisty substitute teacher Holly Holliday for a two-episode arc that includes dating “Glee” club leader Will Schuester. The hit show will also take a chance on Gaga’s soon-to-be released single “Born This Way,” which will serve as inspiration for an episode airing in either March or April. “I love that that song is [an] anthem,” Murphy explained of giving the track major “Glee” love. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.” Are you bummed there is no Justin Bieber “Glee” episode? Lady Gaga Fans Left Oak Room ‘Starstruck’

‘It’s like seeing Madonna in 1984,’ a fan tells MTV News about singer’s surprise set at New York City spot. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga performs at the Oak Room Photo: Lauren Suss On Wednesday night, Lady Gaga played an intimate mini-set at New York City hotspot the Oak Room. And while she only played two songs, one fan at the Plaza Hotel venue tells MTV News that Gaga left everyone in the room completely “starstruck.” “People were actually very into it; they were very calm and collected and starstruck at the same time,” little monster Ashley Rosner recalled of the show, which she accidentally stumbled into. “It was an excited crowd, but a reserved crowd. They wanted to respect her.” Rosner and her pals walked into the show when they happened to catch a glimpse of Gaga through one of the Oak Room’s windows. The singer, wearing a black S&M-style dress and garters, was seated at a table with her entourage. “We were standing 20 feet away from her,” Rosner said. “I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. It was amazing being there and seeing her up close. It’s like seeing Madonna in 1984.” A rep for the club noted that not only did Gaga sing, but she also hung out with her boyfriend as well. “So every Wednesday at the Oak Room, we have a jazz night with Brian Newman, and Lady Gaga and Brian are old friends. So she came once before to support him and it turned out she’s obsessed with the room and it’s the only place she’ll play impromptu for free,” the rep revealed. “She loves the space and came there in her getup. She came there with her boyfriend, Luc Carl, and when they first got there, Brian was playing Sinatra songs and she was dancing and singing. Everyone was dancing and cheering and hanging out. She said she felt bad for the horses outside because it was cold. She told the owner that she’d be back in the near future.” In addition to singing “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “Orange Colored Sky,” the star also chatted with the audience from onstage. “She has such a cute New York accent,” Rosner said. “She did talk a little bit. She was just having fun with it. You’d think she was getting paid a million dollars for it.” “Everyone was really calm and collected; everyone was really cool. No one was going crazy and screaming,” Rosner’s pal, Lauren Suss, added. “It almost felt like I was just at a jazz bar, not at a Lady Gaga concert. There weren’t a lot of people there; probably under a hundred people. She [joked] that she got a little vodka on someone in the crowd.” After her brief performance, according to Rosner, Gaga “hung for about another 10 to 15 minutes and then she got up to leave. She went out the side door and there was a Rolls-Royce and an SVU waiting for her … I think she got into the Rolls-Royce.” Related Photos Lady Gaga Performs At The Oak Room Related Artists Lady Gaga

Is Justin Bieber Jewish?

Is Justin Bieber Jewish? Is Natalie Portman’s fiancee, Benjamin Millipied, Jewish? Based on my Web research, neither one is Jewish. However, there are many people wondering these questions and doing what curious people do in the Digital Age — turning to Google. There are two components to blogging I enjoy most. First, I love writing. Second, I love looking at the analytics to see through which portals visitors have arrived at my blog. Looking at the referral statistics, there is an overwhelming number of Web surfers who are referred to my blog after inquiring about a celebrity’s faith; specifically, whether they are Jewish. While Jewish people may only account for less than 2 percent of the U.S. population, we have provided society with a vastly disproportionate number of celebrities — from actors and musicians to authors, producers and directors. No, Jews don’t own Hollywood in the antisemitic canard conspiracy theory way, but there are certainly a lot of “Members of the Tribe” in Hollywood. When celebrities do the things that only Jewish people have traditionally done, everyone wants to know if they are Jewish or just playing the part. For instance, Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) has been embraced by Madonna, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Brittany Spears, but none of them were born Jewish or have converted to the faith. Robin Williams does a great Yiddish accent on stage while telling Jewish jokes, but he’s an Episcopalian. The former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson has announced plans to open a kosher restaurant, but converted to Islam. The French dance choreographer Benjamin Millipied will marry the Israeli Natalie Portman, with Israeli roots, but he doesn’t appear to be of the Jewish faith. And though the teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is not Jewish, he has a ritual of saying the most important statement to the Jewish people before each of his concerts. It turns out that his agent, Scott “Scooter” Braun, taught Bieber the “Shema Yisrael” and now the 16-year-old says those Hebrew words (in addition to a Christian prayer) before taking the stage. It’s human nature to try and know as much as we can about our celebrities. So, it should come as no surprise that fans are curious as to whether Bieber’s Jewish or if Natalie Portman is marrying within the Jewish faith. After all, a person’s faith can be a private matter and as the National Enquirer has always said when it comes to celebrities, “Inquiring minds want to know.” (c) Rabbi Jason A. Lady Gaga’s Ass Pants Go Shopping of the Day

Knowing I grabbed this is miserable. Knowing Gaga is unhappy people stopped talking about her so she staged this stunt and I’m talking about her is even more miserable than knowing I grabbed this ass, but then again grabbing ass, whether it is on a celebrity or not, whether it is on a monster looking bitch or not, is never really that miserable, even if it makes you want to throw up. It’s always kind of entertaining even if it is not erotic…. What it comes down to is that Lady Gaga is a vile circus freak, trying so hard to be relevant like she was Madonna and she’s ugly as fuck, but unfortunately that’s never stopped me for checking out an ass when it’s on display and that shouldn’t stop you. Here are the miserable pics…

Lady Gaga And Kanye West Are 2010’s Most Fashionable Celebs

Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry also shined this year. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: David Livingston/ Getty Images What four ladies and one dude had everyone buzzing about their fashion choices in 2010? Well, this year, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kept us guessing about what they would wear on a daily basis. From red carpets to high-profile Hollywood events, these five had us trying to copy some of their hottest looks. Here are some of their fashion highlights from the past 12 months: Lady Gaga Listen, Lady Gaga isn’t scared to try anything when it comes to fashion. She takes risks, breaks all the rules and makes a whole new set of her own. She’s Lady Gaga — need we say anything more? Standout Moments : It’s easy to say the “meat dress,” but we have a few others as well. The Armani Prive orbital dress she wore to the Grammys was out of this world, the Alexander McQueen VMA red-carpet dress showed she was a Renaissance woman, and her black Armani VMA dress was also stunning. Finally, the black-sequin bodysuit she wore to the “We Are Plastic Ono Band” tribute was truly Gaga hippie-chic. Rihanna With one change of her hair, Rihanna became red-hot and set the trend for everyone to embrace fiery-red locks. Her fierce sense of style combined street edge with girly frills. Not many can pull off a tutu the way Rihanna does, but she works it with confidence and a big smile. Standout Moments : Her ethereal white EMA Marchesa gown was show-stopping, her Madonna-esque VMA performance tutu and belly-baring tank top was truly Rih, her super-short patterned shirt dress she wore to the Kids’ Choice Awards was hip, and that lacy red gown she wore to the AMAs embraced her siren side. Katy Perry “California Gurls” may wear daisy dukes and bikinis on top, but this particular California girl wears lots of latex and sequins, not that we hear any of the guys complaining. The singer proved that in 2010, she wasn’t just a certifiable pop star, but also a full-fledged fashionista. Standout Moments : She glowed at the Met Costume Gala ; the sparkly, nude-colored mini she wore to the MTV Movie Awards had us doing double takes; her peacock-colored, sequined one-piece at the Kids’ Choice Awards was very Vegas; and her Zac Posen, gold flower-petal-emblazoned gown she wore to the Grammys definitely referenced her time in India. Kim Kardashian It’s not easy wearing bandage dresses and Grecian-style gowns, but reality TV’s starlet du jour, Kim K, does it with ease and sass and manages to pull off each look rather, dare we say, seamlessly. Standout Moments : Strutting her stuff like Liz Taylor or J.Lo at the CFDA Awards in her pale-blue, jewel-encrusted gown; keeping it short and sweet at a Beyonc

Wolfgang Gartner Calls Grammy Nomination ‘A Total Surprise’

DJ/producer is readying a new album and his first official music video. By Akshay Bhansali Wolfgang Gartner Photo: MTV News After an impressive year boasting strong singles “Conscindo” (with Mark Knight), “Undertaker” and “Animal Rights” (with deadmau5) , Austin, Texas, electro-house maestro Wolfgang Gartner was particularly ecstatic when we caught up with him this week. Gartner, born Joey Youngman, is nominated for a 2011 Grammy in the Best Remixed Recording (Non Classical) category for his mix of house-music producer Andy Caldwell’s “Funk Nasty” (featuring vocals by Gram’ma Funk). In February, he will face off against Morgan Page’s remix of Nadia Ali’s “Fantasy,” David Guetta’s mix of Madonna’s “Revolver,” Mike Rizzo’s mix of Brazilian legend Sergio Medes’ “Orpheus” and the Dirty South and Axwell mix of Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition.” “It was a total surprise to me,” Gartner said. “I didn’t even know that it was Grammy nomination time. Somebody on Twitter said, ‘Congratulations on your Grammy nomination,’ and I ran over to my computer and looked on the site, and there it was. Yeah, it’s awesome. Obviously, it’s a milestone to be nominated for a Grammy, especially [with] other nominees I have so much respect for.” While the Grammy nod caps an already-colossal year for the DJ/producer, Gartner isn’t planning to slow down. Next week, he drops Space Junk, a 12-track studio effort full of typically sinister, melody-driven electro-house bangers along with some new sounds. “The response has been great,” he said of Space Junk. “We sent out the promos. I know a bunch of people are playing it so far: Ti
