John Legend’s Boo Chrissy Teigen Joins The Bikini-Clad Beckies On Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition!

Happy Valentine’s day fellas! Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Cover Revealed Featuring Chrissy Teigen Via SportsIllustrated IF THE COVER of SI Swimsuit is some of the hottest real estate a supermodel can inhabit, the 50th Anniversary Issue cover is the Tribeca triplex of American newsstands. And if the featured models Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen are to believed, they are delighted to occupy that space together. “We really, honestly liked each other,” said Chrissy earlier this afternoon. “Of course you are going to hear that from anybody who does a group shot, but this time it’s true. The connection was natural and the mood was fun.” An hour after getting the good news (a moment captured in the above video), Chrissy and Lily (Nina was out-of-town on a shoot) were on the 33rd floor of the Time- Life Building in a conference room whose enormous windows look out onto the Hudson—by all accounts, on top of the world. There they prepped for the two-week press tour that would likely be the most laborious of their already high-profile lives. But neither model was thinking of small annoyances, especially not Chrissy. Now 28, she has been fan favorite ever since her 2010 Rookie of the Year debut. But nothing guarantees a cover—sorry guys, the Twitter pleas don’t often factor into editorial decisions—and it was safest to avoid thinking about it altogether which she managed to do, until that one magical day in the Cook Islands, late last October . “It’s been many years that I’ve been doing this now and this was the first shoot where I was like, ‘This may actually have cover potential. We had this perfect water, perfect time of day, perfect light, perfect look, perfect suits, perfect everything. And with James Macari shooting, I just sensed it was going to turn out right.’” When asked about which lady is the real “cover girl”, Chrissy says: “If I were to pick . . . I would have to say our butts won it.” We’d have to agree. Flip it over for a few more pics Image via SportsIllustrated

Chit-Chatter: Meagan Good Covers Upscale Magazine & Says Marriage Made Her Feel More Free

Meagan Good takes her talent to Upscale magazine…. Meagan Good Covers Upscale Magazine Meagan Good has been making her media rounds lately and she’s now bringing her bangin’ bawwdy to the cover of the latest issue of Upscale magazine. The Hollyweird PYT also chatted with the magazine about marriage, fame and more. Check out a few interview excerpts below. via Upscale On her fears about marriage: “What I feared about marriage was that I would lose my identity and be controlled or suffocated or like a caged lion and what I found was the exact opposite. I’m way more empowered, more content, more confident and just freer across the board.” On feeling more free after getting married: “Oddly, you would think in marriage it would make you feel like you have less freedom, but I’m finding that I [actually] have more freedom because I trust myself more and I’m a little bit more absolute about my choices.” On fame: “In this business you do get picked apart and you do get kind of bullied everyday, with the blogs and everything… People say, ‘well if you didn’t want all of that then you shouldn’t do this for a living’ but there’s a difference between someone who wants to be an actress because they want to be famous and someone who wants to do good work and they could take or leave the fame because it’s not about the fame or money, it’s genuinely about the art. That’s the category that I fall in. With the fame, to be honest, I could really leave it.” Do you think celebs should be able to skip the fame and still get paid big bucks to do what they love?

Supermodel Swag: Victoria’s Secret Banger Joan Smalls Lands Her First American ELLE Magazine Cover

Joan Smalls is scorching the latest cover of Elle magazine & speaking out against discrimination in the modeling industry Joan Smalls Covers Elle Magazine Puetro Rican supermodel Joan Smalls has been grinding on the modeling for a while now and her hard work is continuing to pays off as she’s the latest cover girl for the January 2014 issue of ELLE Magazine. The slimmy-trimmy banger, who Forbes listed as the 8th highest paid model in the world, told fans that she’s “honored” and “still pinching” herself after snagging the cover. She had this to say in regards to the lack of diversity in the modeling industry: via ELLE “People hide behind the word aesthetic. They say, ‘Well, it’s just that designer’s aesthetic.’ But when you see 18 seasons in a row and not one single model outside a certain skin color…? There are people in the industry who are advocates, who support diversity. And there are people who do not. I don’t get it. Beauty is universal. These doors have to open.” Kudos to Joan for representing well for women of color while making major moves in the modeling world! You can check out her full spread and interview when the magazine hits newsstands on December 17th. Photo Credit: Michael Thompson/ELLE

Quote Of The Day: Trans “OITNB” Actress Laverne Cox Says “In Our Industry People Only Care About Size Zero White Girls And Straight White Men”

Real talk talk talk talk!!! Laverne Cox tellin’ it like it is is nothing new to us. But seeing her on the cover of a magazine kinda is… Today VIBE Vixen released the first of five covers featuring the beautiful cast of the Netflix-original show “Orange Is The New Black!” VIBE Vixen is profiling each and every cover gal to give an insider’s look at life for TV’s most wanted (and beloved) convicts. First up is Laverne Cox –AKA Sophia Burset—whose age remains a mystery. However, she is an open book when it comes to the truth about bullying, advocating and being transgender in Hollywood. Here are some great excerpts from the interview via VIBE Vixen : What can you tell us about your worst experience with bullying? When I grew up in Alabama, I was called a sissy, a fag and kids basically wanted to beat me up every day. There was a time in middle school when some kids hit my brother and I with drumsticks and a parent from the school saw it. We knew we could never tell our mother because she would blame us and question why we weren’t fighting back, but the principal called her. It was really awful and painful. It looks like the role of Sophia was made for you. I just auditioned! In August of 2012, I was at an event with my agent, who brought it my way. I was actually doing research on Cece McDonald, at the time. She’s a black trans-woman who’s in prison in Minnesota. I was trying to interview her for a show called In the Life, which lost its funding. Now I’m happy because I get to interview her. I think about her a lot during this journey. She was harassed walking down the street by people yelling anti-trans and racial slurs. A fight broke out and one of her tappers ended up dead, and she is in prison for it. I’m interviewing her for a documentary. Do you know if Sophia is based on an actual prison mate? She is! Piper Kerman wrote a book where she mentioned a woman named Vanessa, who was Trans and a black woman. She was a showgirl before prison – she’s definitely a real person. Does it make you hopeful for the future as a trans actress? We knew this was different, because in our industry people only care about size zero white girls and straight white men. But our show’s popularity across the board is crazy. I’ve had all types of people from all walks of life come up to me and love the show, so I truly hope this begins to change the industry. The scenes between you and your TV wife Tanya Wright are some of the best. Tanya is a really good actress and every scene I shot with her is some of my favorite moments that I’ve ever had in acting. Which is your favorite? The scene with my wife, when she’s dressing me. There was something so magical about how it happened and what Crystal was doing. It was so sure, the love that these two women had for each other. And it was an active orgasm for me because for years I’ve trained to be able to do work that has that many layers of complexity, but it’s really simple at the same time. It was a moment where Crystal lost her husband and I had to realize that I probably won’t ever be the same again. What do you look for in a significant other? I look for a guy who’s really smart, highly intelligent and really articulate. But he also has to make me laugh. I was dating this comic — we’re still sort of seeing each other on and off — and he’s really funny, really brilliant and beautiful. It’s a good combination; he’s just a bit shorter than me. Ideally, the guy has to be a really good person. I want his heart to be sweet, and he can’t be a liar. He has to mean what he says and say what he means, and has to have good follow through. We love “Orange is the New Black” and can’t wait for the new season. Do you think that Laverne being on the show has helped people become more accepting of transgender individuals? The Worst Advice EVER: J. Lo Says When She First Started On TV She Was Told To Change Her Body !

Can you imagine if she’d downsized that culo ? That’s exactly what J.Lo says one of her first managers told her she should do when she started working in television. Via US Weekly reports : Jennifer Lopez’s curvaceous body may be fully embraced and celebrated by Hollywood now, but that wasn’t always the case. In the winter issue of Cosmopolitan Latinas, the 44-year-old singer says she’s always been proud of her body and had to fight in her career to keep it. “Early on, my family really made me love who I was and what I looked like. My body was nothing out of the ordinary in my neighborhood,” explained Lopez, who grew up in The Bronx, New York with her Puerto Rican parents. “When I first started on television [as a Fly Girl on In Living Color], people, and even my own manager at the time, would tell me I had to make all of these changes.” “But you have to stand up and say, ‘There’s nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am, you’re the one with the problem!’” she says. “And when you can really believe that, all of a sudden other people start believing too.” The philosophy has helped her to juggle her career as a singe, actress, producer, American Idol judge and single mom to 5-year-old twins Max and Emme. How does she do it all? “One day somebody told me I had to perform in front of 35,000 people on the set of Selena. I didn’t know how to do it. I just said to myself: Don’t think about it. You can do this and you’ll be great,” she recalls. “I walked out onto that stage. And then I did. I’ve been following that rule ever since.” Lopez, who has been dating her former backup dancer Casper Smart since October 2011 after splitting from husband Marc Anthony, tells the magazine that the best part of being Latina is having a passion for life. “I love the family that I grew up in,” she says, “the strength and passion and the heart that we bring to things and then the way I was raised — the intense love we demonstrate.” For more of Lopez’s interview, pick up the winter issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas on newsstands Tuesday, Oct. 29. We can’t imagine J.Lo without them cakes. Thank goodness she had high self esteem. Matthias Vriens-McGrath/Cosmopolitan for Latinas Continue reading

Switching It Up: Watch Your Back La La! Dice Gets A Makeover For Hype Hair

Watch out La La! Cousin Dice is stepping her game up in the October issue of Hype Hair. Inside the issue Dice gets a full makeover and discusses appearing on “Full Court Life” and her new anti-bullying campaign. She also reveals she’s been doing some event promoting but you know we were most interested in her makeover. Here’s what she had to say about it: It was actually a cool experience. I enjoyed it. The shoot allowed me to have my own glam squad for the day. The stylist was amazing, and having celebrity photographer Drexina Nelson do the shoot was the icing on the cake. But those shoes were hard for me to walk in, not to mention how bad they hurt. They were not my comfortable Jordan sneakers that I’m used to wearing. I brought my mother along with me for the experience and she loved seeing me, her only daughter, as “Candice,” all glammed up. Seeing the smile on her face was nice. Sweet right? Drexina Nelson Continue reading
