Jesus Take The Wheel: North Carolina Grandmother Found Dead In Her Wrecked Car 3 Days After It Was Towed Away!

That’s awful, but thank God they found her. Grandmother In North Carolina Found Dead In Her Wrecked Car 3 Day After It Was Towed Via ABC The family of a North Carolina grandmother whose body was found inside her wrecked car three days after it was towed said today they believe she would still be alive if a state trooper had noticed her. Carolyn Ann Watkins, 62, was found dead inside her 2000 Pontiac at a towing lot on Monday. “There was not much swelling and stuff like that, so we think she was living in that vehicle,” Patricia Parker, Watkins’ daughter-in-law, told ABCNews.com. State Trooper M.D. Williams found Watkins’ car Friday morning in a ditch near Smithfield, a town 30 miles southeast of Raleigh. Wow… Dustin’s Towing was called to the scene to remove the vehicle from the ditch and keep it for storage. Parker said the family was never notified about the crash and contacted the Smithfield Police Department on Monday when Watkins did not show up for work. The grandmother of four was found dead inside her car at the tow yard later that day, Parker said. R.I.P. Ms. Carolyn Ann Watkins. Image via ABC

Quote Of The Day: A$AP Rocky Speaks To Alexander Wang For Interview Magazine On Fashion And “The Gay Thing”

A$AP Rocky bares his soul and gold grill for Interview Magazine …. According to NyDailyNews: A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is taking opportunity to tell readers of the April issue of Interview how he feels about ‘the gay thing.’ “Fashion was a natural thing to me,” A$AP Rocky tells designer Alexander Wang in April’s issue of Interview magazine. “It was just one of those things that helped me be an individual … and it helped me get the attention that most people try to get with publicity stunts or by doing other crazy things.” “For instance, one big issue in hip-hop is the gay thing. It’s 2013, and it’s a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It’s crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip-hop is small-minded or stupid — and that’s not the case. “We’ve got people like Jay-Z. We’ve got people like Kanye. We’ve got people like me. We’re all prime examples of people who don’t think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they’re gonna represent me. And if I’m gonna represent them, then I also want to do it in a good way.” Hit the flip to peep a couple more shots from Rocky’s shoot…

A “Lil Positvity”: Murders In Chicago Are Down 26% Compared To This Same Time Last Year

See what locking up Chief Keef can do for a city? Chicago Murders Down 26% From Last Year Via NBCChicago After Chicago’s murder rate made national headlines last year, the city’s police superintendent announced murders are down 26 percent. That’s compared to where the city was this time last year when murders shot up in the first quarter. Shooting incidents are down 19 percent year over year, Supt. Garry McCarthy said. He said the majority of that can be traced back to guns and violence, which police are trying new tactics to combat. In the past month, narcotics officers on the West Side have done a number of undercover drug buys with a focus on “that H” and crack. One buy ended with 15 gang members in custody and the other led to the arrest of a dozen. The store where the second investigation led to a bust has since been shut down, and McCarthy said that should serve as a warning to other Chicago businesses. “It’s real simple,” McCarthy said. “If you’re engaged in it, you’re going to lose your business. If you’re engaged in facilitating or tolerating these behaviors, you’re going to lose your licenses and we’re going to go after your business.” In the first 10 weeks of 2013, McCarthy said Chicago police took 3,100 guns off the streets. Congratualations to Supt McCarthy and the Chi-town police department. Now we know you all can be as crooked as the day is long, so we hope that these numbers are a true reflection of a decrease in crime and not some math trick that makes it appear that you are actually doing a good job. Race Matters: Actress Michelle Williams Accused Of Racism Over Native American Get Up On Magazine Cover

Another day, another racist “Indian costume” … Michelle Williams Native American Style On AnOther Magazine Cover Deemed Offensive Hollyweird actress Michelle Williams is in hot water over her altered appearance on the cover of a British magazine. Via DailyMail reports : Michelle Williams has been accused of racism after appearing to dress as a Native American on a magazine cover. The actress donned a series of eye-catching outfits for British magazine AnOther, including one showing her in long braids, beads and with a feather in her hair. The cover went viral as blogs labelled it ‘offensive’, ‘racist’ and ‘sterotypical’ and demanded an apology. New York based online magazine Refinery29 slated the cover, stating: ‘We can’t believe how offensive Michelle Williams’ latest cover is.’ ‘They added super-long, thick, black extensions and braided them — and darkened her eyebrows,’ they wrote. ‘Then there’s the makeup. ‘The photo is in black-and-white, so you can’t tell for sure if they’ve altered her normally fair skin, but there is some definite contouring around the nose and the cheekbones that not only makes her look nearly unrecognizable, but also appears to mimic the stark relief of facial features often seen in early portraits of Native American women. ‘The same mimicry applies her stoic, unsmiling pose – also a typical trope in that particular genre and period of art history.’ The Huffington Post also waded into the debate, writing: ‘While not everyone might be offended, there have been all too many instances of fashion professionals ruffling feathers with ill-conceived Native American-inspired projects.’ A publicist for the 32-year-old did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The actress is not the first to accidentally offend the Native American community. Victoria’s Secret was forced to apologize after dressing model Karlie Kloss in a feathered headress and face paint as she strutted down the runway in her underwear at their show last year. Do you find the cover offensive? Do you think Hollywood and the media should stop attempting to recreate “Native American” themes and costumes for people who do not have indigenous roots? Or do you think people are overreacting this time around?

In the issue, the superfly ‘Scandal’ leading lady dishes on her role as Olivia Pope and feeling relieved that her creepin’ Presidential co-star wasn’t black. Kerry tells Ebony  : “I was a little concerned because [the character has] a scandalous relationship with the [occupant of the] White House,” the actress said. “I thought, ‘If the president on the show is Black, I will not do the show.’ Because to me, it was too important a moment. I didn’t want to do anything that compromised my relationship with the [president] or that made it seem like I had an insider view on the Obama presidency. I thought that would be so disrespectful and so against all the work that I had done.” Hmmm. Could you imagine ‘Scandal’ being the same with a black President ? Would you still watch?
