Kim Kardashian Denies Having A Nose Job In ‘Wonderland’ Magazine Cover Story Pinocchio Kim Kardashian is on the cover of the Autumn issue of Wonderland Magazine and the accompanying interview includes quotes from the reality star swearing she never had rhinoplasty : “People think I’ve had my nose done. I haven’t,’ she claims in the interview. She does admit to looking different though: “It does look smaller. Maybe it’s the contour I use.” And despite the contour, Kim claims she loves her nose for making her look “ethnic”. “I used to hate this bump on my nose,” she said in the interview. “Hated it. Now I love that it makes me look more ethnic.” Are you buying what she’s selling? Kim also talks about how Kanye had difficulty adjusting to being with her at first. She describes how when she was pregnant with daughter North in 2013 he was making his ‘Yeezus’ album: “He had this aggression. You can hear it. He wasn’t used to this life with me,” she explained. “He was super famous before, but the paparazzi life is a different world.” We definitely heard the aggression… For more photos from Kim’s Wonderland issue, keep flipping! Tika Sumpter Covers Rolling Out Mag Tika Sumpter looks stunning on the cover of next month’s issue of Rolling Out, showing off her bountiful baby bump in a lace number and tons of glam. Inside the issue, Tika talks playing the FLOTUS , and doing her best to bring positive images of Black women to the screen. The actress also opened up on why she decided to remain mum on her baby news until it was just unavoidable to share… Via RollingOut : Sumpter loves the fans and she’s very giving but she definitely believes in saving a lot for herself. “I’m really selfish with my life,” she declares with no guilt. “You want to share some aspects of your life. But, for me, I can’t give everything because then I have nothing to come home to and to have for myself and my family. And I need to store up on that love and all that stuff, in order to create, in order to act. “Sometimes when you let everybody in your business, I think it makes relationships harder than they need to be,” she continues. “Relationships are already tough. Raising kids is already tough. And then having somebody say something crazy or spread a rumor or say something that’s not nice and hurts your spirit — that I can’t deal with. And that’s why I’m very protective of my peace. I’m protective of my private life. Even getting pregnant, people are just now finding out, but it’s something that I wanted to keep for me and enjoy it for a while. And then I was like, ‘OK, cool here you go’ and I couldn’t hide it anymore,” she laughs, adding a little more levity to her tone. Motherhood, she knows, is serious business, especially raising a young lady. As she prepares for it and the responsibility of living a life for something much greater than herself, she ponders the images her daughter will see and the example she, herself, will set for her. “I just want her to see images of strength out there and of women who are doing something with themselves. I want to be able to dictate something about the images that my daughter will see and also [for her to] look up to me as a great mom and a great woman that she would want to one day hopefully be like,” she reveals. Makes sense when she puts it that way, right? And she’s certainly wearing her pregnancy glow well… RollingOut Continue reading →

Oprah Winfrey And Ava Duvernay Reject “Diversity” Oprah and Ava may have made their careers championing the stories of Black people and women…but they say that they are not here for the term “diversity.” Via THR : Ava, you’ve expressed strong distaste for the term “diversity,” but Oprah has made use of it. How do you both characterize the concept now in terms of the overall conversation in the industry? DUVERNAY We aren’t sitting around talking about diversity, just like we aren’t sitting around talking about being black or being women. We’re just being that. WINFREY I will say that I stand corrected. I used to use the word “diversity” all the time. “We want more diverse stories, more diverse characters …” Now I really eliminated it from my vocabulary because I’ve learned from her that the word that most articulates what we’re looking for is what we want to be: included. It’s to have a seat at the table where the decisions are being made. DUVERNAY That was your take on it. WINFREY When Sidney Poitier came to my school [in South Africa], he gave a gift of 550 movies to the girls. He thought if you watch these 550 movies, they’ll be your education for life. He wrote to the girls that his dream for them was to be able to sit at the table of the future where the world’s decisions would be made. I realize now that what he was saying is to be included, to be valued as a person who has something to contribute. And part of that inclusion is making Black stories a part of a larger narrative, rather than making “Black movies.” Because you can’t rely on a White writer to capture or understand And you think we’ve not seen those scenes because the writers often are white? DUVERNAY Yeah, they render it through their lens, so you will see that scene, and it will be with white people. All lives can’t matter to folks who are not us if you don’t know us, if you don’t understand [us]. I don’t make anything as education for anyone; I make it as a love letter to the characters: These are black people; this is a black family. It’s a window into that. The same way when I go see A Separation, an Iranian film about an Iranian family, or when I go to see a Korean film, it is a window into that world, and I see them, and I start to understand and value them. They begin to matter to me. WINFREY In the early years of The Oprah Winfrey Show, I was doing an episode about single parenting. I had a black father on, and we had gone to his house and done a taped piece about him putting his two little girls to bed and reading to them. This was around 1989 to 1990, before email, and the white audience wrote letters saying, “I didn’t know black men did that.” That struck a nerve. Then I realized that the best way to show that black people are just like everybody else, or that gay people are just like everybody else, is not to do a show about gay people or black fathers raising their children [but] just to include them in a story about raising children. That’s how you normalize it and make it OK for everybody else. Interesting. Do you agree??? The Hollywood Reporter

Christina Milian Covers Rolling Out Magazine Christina Milian is covering the latest issue of Rolling Out and inside dishing on her breakup with Lil Wayne. Tina Turn Up first dished on her baaaawdy and divulged secrets to staying in shape. I just try not to overthink it. What I tend to do when I’m ready to get back in shape and tighten up is to cut the carbs. French fries and rice are two of my weaknesses, so when those things start kicking in, your stomach makes space for more food. When I cut those things out, my appetite goes down, I listen to my stomach: if it says I’m full, I’m full. When you can fit in a workout, do it … even if it’s outdoors. I like to go hiking in the hills, just any kind of movement. I like to do a good 20-30 minutes of cardio and sit-ups (do them until you’re tired). I used to do like 100 a day. …and she also added in this tidbit about listening to songs she recorded with Lil Wayne after their breakup. Well, I love the songs. They all describe moments, [and] every time I listen to them, I think of something that happened in that moment, and what inspired those songs. The four songs that I wrote and are on the EP were at the time about my relationship with Wayne. I was far more descriptive in my writing this time around. It was a really fun and inspirational time. Everything inspires me, but when it comes to chemistry and when it comes to the ups and downs of relationships, that’s what’s real for people. People want to feel something. Sounds like she’s moved on. Are you feeling these get ups??? Hit the flip for more.
