This is crazy. Women Held As Slaves For 30 Years Freed This takes the “12 Years A Slave” thing to a whole new level. According to The Guardian: Three women have walked to freedom through the front door of a south London house where they were held for 30 years in what police described as the worst case of modern-day slavery ever uncovered in Britain. Police said on Thursday the youngest woman, a 30-year-old British citizen, had had “no contact with the outside world” and was probably born in captivity, possibly within the house in Lambeth. All three women – a 69-year-old from Malaysia, a 57-year-old from Ireland and the British woman – were described as “deeply traumatized”, and were being looked after by specialists. It began when the Irish woman made an audacious telephone call for help last month. She acted after seeing a television documentary and watching the founder of an organization called the Freedom Charity being interviewed. Aneeta Prem, the founder of the organization, said it was a news interview she carried out after a documentary that led to the call for help. “The Irish lady saw me on TV and the name of the charity was a catalyst. That is exactly what they wanted, they wanted freedom,” she said. The charity contacted the police. Tense negotiations took place over a week during secret telephone calls that the women were able to make from the house, before – in a carefully choreographed rescue – the three women were able to walk out of the property on 25 October, where officers were waiting. They were taken into specialist care, and over days and weeks, they were coaxed into talking about what had happened to them. Detective Inspector Kevin Hyland, who leads the Met’s human trafficking unit, said what had been uncovered in the home was like nothing the police had ever experienced before. “In London we have investigated cases where people have been held in servitude or forced labour for up to 10 years, but 30 years is quite extraordinary and not something we have seen before,” he said. The couple obviously did not see any paparazzi as they sunned themselves on the balcony and pool of the estate. My name is Melissa and I’m 15 years old. I live in Malaysia , somewhere in Asia. I’ve been to 2 of Justin’s concerts: My World Tour and MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012. This is my second writing doing a Bieber experience actually. I’ve been a Belieber ever since ‘09, in other words since “One Time,” and no, I’m not exaggerating. On July 14, 2012 I went to Sunway Lagoon (where World Stage was held) around 12pm with my cousin and her friend. The line was already VERY long. Luckily, I had my amazing boy Belieber friends (Kevin and Jason) right in front of the line. They allowed me to stand with them. We stood there for almost 3 hours until they opened the barricades. Everyone was pushing, and pushing. Since I’m claustrophobic, I was already going through a seizure. We went through the bag check, and the Surf Beach was pretty far from the main entrance, so I RAN. Not jog okay… I RAN to the venue. After standing there for like 30 minutes, I was feeling drowsy, the heat wave was very bad.People started giving me water, medics came to ask me if I was fine. I sat on the floor while everybody was standing up because everything was just spinning. After a few minutes, tears started running down my cheeks, and I blacked out. The medics came to bring me out. They told me, “Don’t worry! You come with us now, when you’re okay, we’ll bring you back to the exact spot.” I was probably the first one to go to the first aid room. The medics gave me bread and water and they told me to rest. After like an hour at the first aid room, a few vans were reversing and in front of the van, it said TALENT. I started freaking out (obviously) because Justin was inside the van. KENNETH PASSED THE MEDICS ROOM. I ran towards him and into the place where it said “Strictly for all access pass only,” and no I didn’t have the pass. I asked him for a picture and after we took the picture, he told me I smelled nice. I was like, “It’s Someday!” The medics didn’t bring me back to my spot right in front, and it was already starting to get full, so I decided to just stand at the back. I even got a good view! Justin sang Baby/Die In Your Arms/As Long As You Love Me/Never Say Never/Boyfriend/Be Alright/Wheat Kings(cover)/One Time/All Around The World. He was amazing! Right after, there was another 3 acts, but I left. As I was leaving the venue, I saw a few white vans parked under a private place. (Nobody knew about it) so I decided to sit and watch. I saw Selena in the van and screamed, “I LOVE YOU SELENA” but not sure if she looked. The van was tinted. A few minutes after, I saw Justin walking to the car, and I shouted, “BYE JUSTIN I LOVE YOU” and he waved! I also wished Allison happy birthday and told Scrappy he was cool.
