Donald Sterling has issued a statement in response to the leaked audio tape that makes him sound like a horrible, horrible racist. The recording is of Sterling – the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers – berating his girlfriend of appearing in public with African-Americans, referring to her as “stupid” for thinking skin color doesn’t matter. “It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people,” Sterling says to V. Stiviano at one point in the nine-minute tape. Donald Sterling Racist Rant As a rebuttal, Sterling and the Clippers organization say via statement: “We have heard the tape on TMZ. We do not know if it is legitimate or it has been altered.” The statement goes on to paint Stiviano in a negative light. “We do know that the woman on the tape — who we believe released it to TMZ — is the defendant in a lawsuit brought by the Sterling family, alleging that she embezzled more than $1.8 million, who told Mr. Sterling that she would ‘get even.” It continues: “Mr. Sterling is emphatic that what is reflected on that recording is not consistent with, nor does it reflect his views, beliefs or feelings. It is the antithesis of who he is, what he believes and how he has lived his life. He feels terrible that such sentiments are being attributed to him and apologizes to anyone who might have been hurt by them.” While many within the NBA have come out and castigated Sterling for the remarks (LeBron James says there’s “no room for him in our league”), Snoop Dogg likely summed it up best with the following on Instagram: A message to the motherfucker that owns the Clippers, you bitch-ass redneck white bread chickenshit motherfucker: F-ck you, your mama and everything connected to you, you racist piece of sh-t. Selena Gomez and the Jenner sisters were totes BFFs for a while and there were even rumors that Selena had hired Kris Jenner to manage her career after she fired her own parents. The Real Housewives of Atlanta had Kandi Burruss “Save the Drama For Mama” but if Mama’s not careful her wedding invite might get lost in the mail. We break down all the Mama drama in THG’s +/- review … Goodness knows Mama Joyce was always a little off but the woman was riding the crazy train on the latest Housewives. Minus 25. Poor Kandi. Todd seems like a really good guy. He’s stable and honest and he loves her. Plus 40. But that’s not enough for Mama Joyce. He’s not a millionaire so he must be taking advantage of Kandi because in Mama’s head that’s just what men do. Funny thing is that Mama Joyce seems more concerned about herself than her daughter. Who stomps into someone else’s home and asks why there aren’t more pictures of them up? Minus 11. Then Joyce starts throwing shade on Kandi’s long time friend Carmon making it sound like Kandi’s best gal pal and her fiance are getting it on behind the scenes. Talk about drama. Minus 33. Well one things for sure: There won’t be anymore crazy ass Twitter rants from Gucci… Gucci Mane, who promoted his new mixtape Diary of a Trap God before claiming he was hacked, deleted his Twitter account altogether last night. Frankie’s trying to get some of those coins. Frankie Sues Hotel Keyshia come get your mama. According to TMZ reports: “Celebrity Rehab” grad Frankie Lons got hammered at an L.A. hotel — by a falling sign, according to the lawsuit she just filed. TMZ has learned singer Keyshia Cole’s mom filed the lawsuit today against Le Parc Suite Hotel for the alleged violent run-in with the sign back in April. In the suit, Frankie says she was walking out of the hotel … just minding her own business … and when she pulled the door to exit the lobby “a heavy ‘EXIT’ sign that was hanging loosely” fell and landed on her head. Frankie claims she suffered severe and permanent injuries — though the lawsuit doesn’t specify what she hurt. Frankie and her attorney Michael Marzban are seeking damages for medical expenses, loss of earnings — as well as a little something for her “pain and suffering.” Come on Frankie.
