Solange Calls Paps “Dumb And Useless” For Flashing On Her Tribal Turban Steez

Solo was snapped in this snazzy turban and tribal print getup leaving her secret boogie down spot in Hollyweird after partying Thursday night and wasn’t too happy about it. Paps shined their flashing nights at BeyBey’s baby sister as she was walking out of The Frolic Room and she took to Twitter to complain: We’re sure they must have cramped her style. That really blows Solo. Did you put something in the air to get your mind right after that? Cuz you seem to have chilled out by the time fashion blog WhoWhatWear put up said paparazzi shots to jock you and your Chloe Sevigny Opening Ceremony platforms. We’re actually really proud that Solo has Africa on the brain. The younger of the famous Knowles’ sisters joined a group of like-minded artist to record the new song “Kenya” which will benefit the Coca Cola Africa Foundation which campaigns for cleaner water in Africa. Solo’s trill azz big sis has also been inspired by the Motherland as of late. Bey is using African dance elements in the choreography of her next video: Beyoncé is bringing 200 African dancers to Los Angeles today to ensure the dance sequences in her next video are like nothing fans have ever seen. A source close to Beyoncé said the dancers will help Bey incorporate some of their native moves into her “Girl” music video. And as Solange said, Beyonce is definitely on her BOSS ish, when it comes to her career: “She’s interviewed hundreds of people and got a great company together and is doing her own label and some other stuff,” S2S was told. “There’s no ill will between Beyoncé and her father. She just wants to have her own empire and Jay-Z has nothing to do with her management,” the source said. “It’s about her evolution as a woman.” Sounds about right. The pressure has got to be on with this “groundbreaking” album that’s coming this June. SplashNews/FamePictures

Beyonce & Dad Mathew Knowles Announce Management Split: “Business Is Business”

Read the original post:

Beyonce and her manager father Mathew Knowles have parted ways – on a business level. Though this rumor started in August of the last year, the daddy-daughter duo made the official announcement today. Beyonce simply said in her statement that she is grateful for the role her father has had in her career, and that “he is my father for life and I love my dad dearly.” Mathew was a little more long-winded. Read his statement below: “The decision for Beyoncé and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual. We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment. Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and on our supremely talented roster of artists, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy and others. “Music World will continue its partnership with Sony with Destiny’s Child and UK female group From Above, as well as management. We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids and Music World Music. In Music World’s repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans. “Business is business and family is family. I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success.” Beyonce Drops Her Father As Manager, Jay-Z To Step In [RUMOR] Did Tina & Mathew Knowles Call Off Their Divorce?

Lady Antebellum Win Song Of The Year Grammy For ‘Need You Now’

Group beat out Eminem and Cee Lo Green for songwriters award. By Gil Kaufman Lady Antebellum Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images It’s a good thing both Eminem and Cee Lo won Grammys earlier in the night, because when it came time for the first of the “big three” awards handed out on the telecast, they had to keep their seats. The songwriters award, Song of the Year, went to Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” which beat out Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie,” Cee Lo’s “F— You” (listed as “The Song Otherwise Known as ‘Forget You’ “), and tracks by Ray LaMontagne and Miranda Lambert. The swaying ballad by the country trio, who’d already won three awards earlier in the night, performed a tribute to Teddy Pendergrass and enjoyed one of the best-selling albums of 2010, seemed to take the group by surprise when it was announced. There was plenty of high-fiving and a fair amount of hand-on-mouth shock from singer Hillary Scott. Mandolin and guitar player Dave Haywood summed it up when he said, “What an amazing year, we are so blown away,” giving props to their management, who they said were behind the anthem that completely turned the group’s world upside down. Scott thanked the fans and radio, saying breathlessly, “this past year has completely changed our life, and love you all so much, thank you.” The win by Lady Antebellum helped slow down some of the preshow hype about Eminem possibly sweeping the top prizes, although at press time the rapper still had shots at Record of the Year and Album of the Year. The loss for Slim Shady continued the night’s shut-out for his hit collabo with Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie,” which helped fuel the massive sales for his comeback smash album, Recovery .
