If Yoda shilling for cup noodles made your skin crawl and your soul cry “Nooooo,” get ready to feel the Force sell-out even harder, and weirder, with a recent spate of George Lucas -approved shameless Star Wars marketing tie-ins. First, there’s Darth Maul and Yoda stumping for Lipton iced tea . Embarrassing, but that’s nothing compared to the super disgusting idea of a Darth Vader-themed hamburger featuring black-dyed buns. Blech. These are not the burgers you’re looking for, at least not to eat. The Vader burger is offered at French-Belgian fast food chain Quick, along with two other new sandwiches, the Dark Burger on dyed red buns a la Darth Maul, and the Jedi Burger, topped with diced mozzarella cheese cubes. The special Star Wars fare will be available for a limited time from January 31 to March 1, though the Vader burger, which is comprised of “two minced beef patties topped with one slice of melted pepper Cheddar cheese, pepper sauce, endives and rings of red pepper all between black-colored buns sprinkled with black pepper and poppy seeds” and is inexplicably spelled “Vador” burger in this Quick ad, will get an extended run through March 5. You can thank the upcoming 2012 release of Star Wars Episode I — The Phantom Menace 3D for the upsurge in shameless cross-branding, which is fine and a part of the business, especially when reintroducing a film to newer audiences and older fans who are now old enough to drink iced tea and order gross burgers at the drive-through. Still, that doesn’t excuse Lucas from the real problem: These burgers look completely disgusting. Who in their right mind will be ordering the Vader burger? French diehard Star Wars fans, I’m sure, and the kind of perversely curious fast foodies who thought the Double Down sounded intriguing. Oh, and maybe the members of the International Church of Jediism , followers of a new faith whose quest for recognition was immortalized this week by the Taiwanese animators at NME. According to the NME news video, these real life Jedis hang out drinking Mountain Dew and eating Doritos. Substitute the Quick Jedi Burger for Communion bread and everybody wins, no? I guess now that Xmas and New Year’s are behind us, the marketing team over at Victoria’s Secret needs to kick start it’s campaign to get dudes to spend even more money on useless crap their girlfriends don’t need. Here’s the always incredible Candice Swanepoel showing off her hotness in a bunch of sexy little Valentine’s Day underwear combinations. My brain is saying this is just an annoying marketing ploy, but my throbbing erection is saying otherwise. Hot.

We look back at videos that got the ‘Twilight’ treatment in this week’s ‘Twilight’ Tuesday. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I” Photo: Summit Entertainment In the spirit of the season of giving and spreading holiday cheer, this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday is all about the gifts we’ve received via several higher-profile “Twilight” parodies that were prevalent in pop culture this year. With four films having been unleashed upon the masses to date, there is more than enough material to work with, and you know what they say about imitation: It’s the highest form of flattery. Without further ado, here are the best videos that got the “Twilight” treatment in 2011, plus a couple old-school standouts that are always worth revisiting. Auto-Tuned at the Oscars The Academy wasn’t subtle about trying to lure younger viewers for the 83rd annual Oscars telecast when they signed on co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway, and that was even more apparent when a musical mash-up was introduced that featured short Auto-Tuned videos from the year’s most popular films. The “Twilight” moment arrived toward the end of the video in a little ditty titled “He Doesn’t Own a Shirt,” which featured that infamous scene in “Eclipse” wherein Edward scoffs at Jacob’s impossibly toned abs and asks Bella why the werewolf never wears shirts. Nickelodeon’s Fred Figglehorn Does “Twilight” Speaking of shirtlessness, in Nickelodeon’s “Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred,” Internet celeb Fred Figglehorn showed off his own set of impressive abs in a kooky Jacob vs. Volturi-type scene . In this setup, Fred/Jacob has a squeaky high-pitched voice and instead of turning into a wolf, he morphs into a Pomeranian. “Breaking Prawn” With the Muppets We can all agree that the marketing campaign for “The Muppets” was brilliant. After taking on the likes of “Green Lantern” and “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” via parody trailers, our favorite fuzzy friends spoofed “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” with their “Breaking Prawn” clip and three equally clever posters advertising “The Muppet Saga” that featured Kermit as “Vamphibian,” Miss Piggy as “Bella Swine” and Rowlf as “WereRowlf.” Bonus #1: Jimmy Kimmel’s “Friggin’ Twilight” Yes, this video arrived in 2010, but because it stars our very own colorful characters from “Jersey Shore,” it’s too good not to mention here. This little gem first aired during Kimmel’s talk show and featured Snooki as Bella, The Situation as Edward, JWoww as Alice, Vinnie as Tyler Crowley, Pauly D as Jacob, Ronnie and Sammy as Cullens/Volturi, and a cameo by “Shore” cast-off Angelina as evil Victoria. Most ridiculous moments involve The Sitch’s sparkling abs and Pauly D’s stringy werewolf facial hair. Bonus #2: “SNL” Digital Short “Firelight” Leave it to the kings of pop culture mockery at “Saturday Night Live” and pop star princess Taylor Swift to create a killer “Twilight” parody. In the 2009 Digital Short “Firelight,” guest host Swift did a spot-on Kristen Stewart impression, complete with repeated lip biting and multiple hair-behind-the-ear moves, all while quoting actual lines from “Twilight.” However, in this case the Edward character is not a vampire, he’s the big, green, clumsy, strangle-happy monster Frankenstein. So someone sent me in this picture that they claim is of Selena Gomez leaked….My talents do not lie in recognizing or matching tits and face to celebrities…to me all bitches look the same, but I am pretty sure convinced there’s no fucking way this is of Selena Gomez, but instead some topless girl is trying to get her face out there pretending to be Selena Gomez, but since my talents don’t lie in recognizing and matching tits and face to celebrities, this very well could be her and I’m not about to miss that story, even if normal people don’t give a fuck about seeing Selena Gomez, because the majority of the people who end up on the site are hardly fucking normal…See I ran this pic by a girl I was with last night and her answer was “who cares” and I was like “shit, seriously, cuz I don’t care and really I spend too much time on this shit, it’s embarassing and almost gay, so to prove I’m still a man, I’m gonna jerk off to your facebook pics….instead of these Gomez pics”…. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PICTURE THAT I AM 99% SURE IS NOT SELENA GOMEZ – CUZ THERE IS ALWAYS THAT 1% Either way, we call this bitch launching her career, here are some pics of her overshadowing Beiber, it’s her marketing strategy…showing some cleavage, loving the scandals, attention money, and possibly sex but that’s just cuz Usher Raymond is there masturbating in the corner…
