Big Brother Boneheads Matt McDonald, Adam Jasinski Running Enormous Drug Ring?

The saga of former Big Brother contestant Matt McDonald has gone from bad, to worse, to practically unbelievable in the span of about 72 hours. Matt was arrested for beating his pregnant girlfriend last weekend, but reached a new low – we thought – by harassing her to drop the charges. By phone, from behind bars ! Dude now faces the additional, serious charge of witness intimidation … but oh, if only that were it for ol’ Matty today. He’s got far worse issues. While investigating Matt for the above incident(s), authorities tied him to a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone … with a former Big Brother co-star. These Big Brother bums are headed to the big house . Adam Jasinski , if you recall, won Season 9, and was indicted in federal court in Massachusetts last year for starting drug ring with the winnings. Now, according to a new indictment, Matt McDonald was involved in the alleged drug ring run by Adam Jasinski from April 2008 to October 2009. McDonald and Jasinski were allies inside the Big Brother house … and apparently after, after Adam pooled his $500,000 prize into mucho drugs. If convicted of the drug charge, McDonald faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Jasinski? Probably even more than that. Wow.

Two Astronauts Spacewalking Outside International Space Station

static guim According to Time.com, there are two astronauts that are spacewalking outside the International Space Station. These astronauts are Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson, members of Discovery’s visiting crew, ventured out early Friday on the first spacewalk of their mission. Their mission is to remove a new ammonia tank from the shuttle and disconnect the station’s old tank that supplied the cooling system. It will take three spacewalks to complete the job. Mastracchio and Anderson were supposed to do some battery work on the far left end of the space station, along the sprawling power truss. But NASA canceled the task this week because of concern the two might get shocked. The work instead will be carried out on the next shuttle flight, once astronauts’ suits are better protected. The Scandalous Scott Brown Lawsuit that No One Told You About [Exclusive]

Did you know that Scott Brown —the new star Republican Senator—was accused of harassing a female campaign worker in 1998? We have the documents to prove it. Did the Democrats blow an opportunity to keep their 60th Senate seat? In 2000, Scott Brown was a freshman state representative in Massachusetts. A few years earlier, he’d served on the Wrentham, Mass. Board of Selectmen. Jennifer Firth , a local mortgage banker who was elected to the Board of Selectmen in 1999, filed a civil defamation suit against Brown in July of 2000, alleging that he had harassed her when she worked on his campaign in 1998, and then tried to smear her reputation around town with forged letters and emails. According to Firth’s complaint, Brown engaged in “offensive” conduct that caused her to quit his campaign; he then tried to “defame and humiliate” her by spreading rumors to her colleagues that she “had made sexual advances” towards him during his campaign. She also alleged that Brown told several people that he’d had an “intimate relationship” with her and that he had a stack of sexually explicit letters that Firth had sent him. In her suit, Firth says that she’d never been sexually intimate with Brown, nor did she ever send him the aforementioned letters. A 2000 article in the local paper , the Sun Chronicle , reported that Brown had denied the charges; for her part, Firth said she felt that filing the suit was “the only way I could stop this.” The case then took a strange turn. Two days after the lawsuit was filed, Jennifer Firth’s lawyer, Harvey Schwartz , filed a motion to withdraw as her counsel, saying that “to the best of [Schwartz’s] knowledge, information and belief, the above allegations [by Firth] are not supported by ‘good grounds.'” The next day, Jennifer Firth withdrew her suit . It was dismissed with prejudice, which means it can never be re-filed. Brown told a local newspaper that her lawyer had decided to withdraw after he was presented with letters and e-mail messages that proved she’d been harassing Brown. The day after she dropped her suit, Firth claimed she’d done so because “her lawyer told her she was unlikely to win it.” Firth’s story is certainly an odd one. Why would she have gone to the trouble of filing a suit against Brown only to drop the case so soon afterward? And if Brown had any evidence to support his claim that it was Firth who had been harassing him, why did he never release it publicly? To be sure, it’s possible there was no merit to Firth’s case. And it’s worth noting that Firth has had other brushes with controversy in her county. But why did Democrats and members of the national press fail to even bring up the fact that Scott Brown had once been accused of sexual harassment and defamation in the myriad stories about him prior to Massachusetts’ special election in January? Google it. The entire incident is conspicuously absent. Consider the political stakes. Coakley’s loss cost Democrats their 60th Senate seat, endangering a long list of President Obama’s political objectives such as health care reform. Yet Martha Coakley, the state’s Democratic attorney general who ran against Brown, never mentioned the issue on the campaign trail, as far as we can tell. Did the Coakley campaign look into the case and decide Firth’s claims were baseless? Did they miss it entirely? The Democratic leadership in Washington did not, as far as we can tell, raise the harassment claim at any point during the election, even though it could have been used to raise doubts about Brown in the lead up to what was a very close election. Firth’s charges may have been baseless. But many politicians have seen their political prospects damaged by far less than allegations contained in an actual lawsuit. Why didn’t White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel feed this to liberal media outlets in an effort to discredit Brown? Clearly, if the situation were reversed and it had it been a Democrat in a high-profile special election who had a harassment and defamation suit in his past, the story would have been a talking point on Fox News for weeks. We’ve left messages for Senator Brown, Jennifer Firth, and her former lawyer Harvey Schwartz. We’ve yet to hear back from any of them. DOCUMENTS: Firth’s complaint, her lawyer’s withdrawal, and the subsequent dismissal of the case. [ Photos of Brown and Coakley via Getty Images ]

Michael Lohan Hospitalized; Heart Trouble Likely

Perennial Father of the Year candidate Michael Lohan was taken to a Massachusetts hospital after a medical scare last night, but he was later released. The reason for his trip there is somewhat unclear. Lohan experienced chest pains s he was preparing for a celebrity boxing match. He was examined by doctors, but didn’t stay the night and was let go. His girlfriend, Kate Major (yup, former Jon Gosselin play thing) says wants to be checked out by a cardiologist later this week back home in New York. Who knew Michael Lohan even HAD a heart? Snap! Sorry, that was low. Major says the father of Lindsay Lohan has been very conscious of his health, watching what he eats and exercising, but has had heart attacks before. In all seriousness, we hope he recovers fully and swiftly. As a result of the incident, Lohan was replaced in his celebrity boxing bout last night, and the replacement won against Todd Poulton, whoever that is.

Gang Starr’s Guru Undergoes Successful Surgery

Rapper’s partner DJ Premier tweets, ‘Keep sending him love,’ after rapper reportedly suffered heart attack. By Gil Kaufman, with additional reporting by Jayson Rodriguez Gang Starr’s Guru Photo: Gregg Delman Gang Starr MC Guru underwent successful surgery on Monday, according to DJ Premier. Premier, Guru’s partner in the long-running hip-hop outfit, tweeted the news Tuesday morning (March 2), writing, (“good news: Guru surgery was successful, keep sending him love.” Premier did not specify what the surgery was for or what the MC’s current condition was, and spokespeople for Guru could not be reached at press time for further information on the rapper’s medical condition. Guru suffered what has been described as a massive heart attack over the weekend, and according to reports was in a coma as of Monday. Premier began offering updates on the surgery late Monday night, writing, “Guru still in surgery, keep on praying people, he will make it.” An unnamed source told AllHipHop.com that the rapper was doing “fine” and is expected to make a full recovery. “Guru is alive and recovering from his surgery. Doctors are expecting a full recovery luckily.” Hot 97’s news director Miss Info reported Monday that Guru was in a New York-area hospital where he was expected to undergo surgery. One of Guru’s former collaborators, French MC Solaar, issued a statement on Monday in which he said, “Guru is struggling with a serious health issue. We, the whole 7 Grand Records family, appreciate all your love and well wishes. We continue to hold out hope that Guru will make a full recovery from this. We ask that his privacy on this matter will be respected. Again, thank you for all your support through this trying time.” Composed of Guru (born Keith Elam in Massachusetts) and Premier (born Christopher Martin in Texas), Gang Starr teamed together to help define the New York underground rap sound in the early ’90s. Premier’s production palette featured sampled jazz records and scratched vocals on the choruses, complemented Guru’s uncompromising rhymes. Although the pair would work separately as often as they did together — Guru’s Jazzmatazz series of albums and Premier’s work with Nas, Jay-Z, and underground act Group Home — Gang Starr continued to release critically acclaimed material throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s. Their 1998 album Moment of Truth was among their most critically lauded collections and Gang Starr’s biggest selling project to date. Gang Starr’s last group project, The Ownerz, was released in 2003. Guru spoke with MTV News at the time, noting the pair’s penchant for working on outside projects, but ultimately continuing to stoke the Gang Starr flames. “You went on your little vacation, but you come back home with a bunch of skills and other things to add to the table,” he said. “When we do Gang Starr it always gets more and more intense.” Related Artists Gang Starr
