Dog the Bounty Hunter: Is He Going to Be OK After Wife’s Tragic Death?

On June 26th, Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman became a widower when his wife, Beth, passed away after battling cancer. And understandably, he’s having a tough time dealing with that huge loss. Dog has made many public statements admitting how much he’s struggling, each more heartbreaking than the last. Last weekend, a memorial service was held for Beth in Colorado — it was open to anyone and everyone who wanted to remember her, so several people were there to document what he said in his speech there. At one point in the service, he said “She will never be dead to me. She is in another place.” “I’m gonna get to heaven and make her so proud,” he insisted. “She’s gonna say it like she said here, ‘That’s my man right there, that’s big daddy right there.'” He also recalled one of the last conversations he had with her, one where she told him “Please big daddy, please let me go .” “I said, ‘No, I can’t,'” he remembered. “‘I’m not gonna let you go.'” “I still haven’t let her go,” he told the people in attendance. He said that he’s never felt so bad, and that “If there’s a God, he won’t let me live that long without her.” It seems like at the moment, he’s not too interested in the idea of going about things without Beth by his side — at another point in the service, he said something similar. “In the ’70s, I did 18 months in the Texas penitentiary,” he said, “and I told God yesterday I’d do five years, ten years day to day just to kiss her again.” Now, Dog is sharing the same sentiment on Instagram … except this time, it’s more of a threat. On his page, he shared this meme that reads “Don’t piss off old people. The older we get, the less “life in prison” is a deterrent.” In his caption, he wrote “Fugitives beware,” and hashtagged his new show, Dog’s Most Wanted . Another hashtag he used? “Dog without Beth.” We know that Beth did a lot of filming for this upcoming show — she refused to do chemo so she could travel with him to shoot it. From what we’ve seen, her failing health was part of the show as well. It will be so heartbreaking to see how this all plays out on television. Especially since, judging by this post, Dog is considering taking some of his grief out on the fugitives he catches. In the comments, his faithful followers were quick to offer him love and support — and it looks like some of them are genuinely afraid he’ll land himself in prison. One woman commented “I told my husband those fugitives better really watch out for Dog now!” Another person wrote “Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Keep your head clear, Dog. Beth is watching from above, cheering you on.” “I know it’s hard but don’t let your grief cloud your judgement and diminish your morals.” So many people noted his “Dog without Beth” hashtag and told him that he would never truly be without her, that she was watching over him always. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam We hope he’s able to deal with his grief in a healthy way, and that he manages to get through this immensely difficult time as easily as he possibly can. And, as always, RIP, Beth.

Meghan Markle & Kate Middleton Bury the Hatchet After "Bonding Over Motherhood" [Report]

It’s hard to imagine that anyone could possibloy do more with a single year of their life than what Meghan Markle has accomplished in the past 12 months. But despite all that she’s achieved, it was often Meghan’s feud with Kate Middleton that dominated tabloid headlines. Yes, for as long as she’s been a Royal, Meghan’s allegedly strained relationship with Kate has been a favorite subject of the media. Even after new revelations indicated that it was a feud between Harry and William that caused the women to behave coolly toward one another in public, certain media outlets couldn’t resist the “catfighting duchesses” narrative. In recent weeks, however, there’s been a shift not only in Meg and Kate’s behavior toward one another, but also in the way the press has been covering their relationship. Kate and Meghan attennded Wimbledon together last week, and it was hard not to notice the signs that the two of them had seemed to be enjoying an almost-sisterly bond. Now, the renewed friendship between the “princess moms” is the subject of a People magazine cover story. “There is a sense of [Meghan and Kate’s] relationship strengthening,” says a source close to the situation. The source says that the duchesses “were genuine and sweet together,” while watching Meghan’s friend Serena Williams compete. When Williams lost her match, “Kate put her hand out and rubbed Meghan’s back to console her,” the insider recalls. “It illustrated a warm relationship between these women who have young babies and are in similar situations in their lives,” royal expert Victoria Arbiter told People. “Coming from different backgrounds, I think, they have more the makings of a team than people imagined,” says author and historian Robert Lacey. ‘“And they have a common interest as partners to these two men who are so crucial to the monarchy, along with their children.” People’s source confirms that the duchesses have become much closer in the months since Meghan welcomed her first child . “They’re each a little more relaxed,” says the insider. “They have more in common now.” Ironically, Kate and Harry’s decision to move out of Kensington Palace apparently brought the couple closer to Will and Kate. The source claims distancing themselves from the living space they once shared has allowed the Fab Four “them more time to be like family,” rather than colleagues. Whatever the case, we much prefer this narrative to the one in which Kate and Meg are forever at one another’s throats — and we’re sure we’re not alone!

Conor McGregor Teammate Called Khabib “F*cking Muslim Rat”, Thus The Proper Fade

Source: Stephen McCarthy / Getty By now you’ve surely heard that Conor McGregor tapped out after catching the hands and feet from Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. A brawl outside the ring ensued shortly after the match was called, and word is it was because a racial slur was hurled.  Reports TMZ Sports : Conor McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, called Khabib Nurmagomedov a “f**king Muslim rat” during the main event at UFC 229 — and that’s what set him off … a ringside witness tells TMZ Sports. We spoke with a fan who was sitting in spitting distance from Danis during the fight — and we’re told Danis was running his mouth throughout most of the fight. There was a moment between the 2nd and 3rd rounds when Khabib shot a death stare right at Dillon, according to our witness who says it was obvious Khabib heard at least some of the insults. But, we’re told the final straw was the Muslim insult that Danis hurled toward the end of the fight. Khabib threw his mouthpiece at Dillon and then jumped out of the cage to attack him in the stands. If this is true, Dillon Danis is due the most proper of fades, truly. Also, Filayyy’s recap is the only one you need to see of the fight. Hands, and feet bruh. Drake caping for you is officially a bad sign.   Also, what? We lost the match but won the battle. The war goes on. pic.twitter.com/CRtPaGfOnn — Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) October 8, 2018

T ennis star Naomi Osaka is winning both on and off the court. After defeating Serena Williams , the 20-year-old Haitian and Japanese athlete has become a household name. According to Business Insider , Osaka is slated to make history by inking the biggest deal that Adidas has ever offered to a woman athlete. Naomi Osaka is reportedly set to sign the largest-ever Adidas deal for a female athlete. https://t.co/5wiKBD6LhE — SB Nation (@SBNation) September 12, 2018 Osaka is reportedly working on a deal with the sports brand that is worth $8.5 million per year, the news outlet writes. The deal could possibly make her one of the highest-paid women in the realm of sports; out-earning her tennis opponents. Osaka currently has a contract with Adidas for six figures which is ending this year. It seems as if the Adidas deal is just the beginning of more endorsements to come for Osaka. She recently signed a three-year endorsement deal with Nissan to be one of their brand ambassadors. “With a combination of grit and grace, Naomi Osaka is not afraid to take on the best tennis players of our time, and win,” Asako Hoshino , Senior Vice President, Nissan, told the news outlet . Osaka is humbled to represent the brand and says she was drawn to Nissan because of its “strong Japanese DNA and global competitive spirit.” Osaka’s win over Serena Williams at the 2018 US Open garnered a lot of attention after Williams was hit with a slew of unjust code violations for coaching, breaking a racket, and her exchange of words with umpire Carlos Ramos . Despite the drama surrounding the match, the tennis veteran displayed sportsmanship by giving her opponent encouraging words as the crowd booed the outcome. “She said that she was proud of me and that I should know that the crowd wasn’t booing at me. So, I was really happy that she said that,” said Osaka during a recent appearance on The Ellen Show . ‘Empire’ Recap: Lucious Is Battling His Most Formidable Foe Thus Far

Source: FOX / Getty Season 4 of Empire is winding down with Lucious possibly facing one of his most formidable foes. Tonight’s second to last episode of the season starts with Cookie meeting up with her mother (Alfre Woodard). They have a lot of healing to do. Meanwhile, Thirsty is instructing his goons on how to get rid of Shyne’s body. They have to cut it up and spread around the five boroughs for good measure. via GIPHY Later on, Andre informs Lucious that Anika has been convincing the board members to reject Eddie’s resignation and the board is listening. Thirsty brings up the fact that Eddie sticking around means he’ll push the Patel deal and steal Empire, duh! Then Andre says they should be safe as long as they have Shyne’s backing, but Lucious informs Dre that Shyne took a permanent vacation. Now Dre is like, wtf! Like the rest of us. via GIPHY Anyway, Dre is frustrated and tells Lucious that he set Shyne up to be loyal to the company. But Lucious disagrees because his philosophy is that street dudes need to be put to bed for good. But here’s the new problem, Shyne’s replacement will control the swing vote. They can’t make any moves with finding a replacement until Shyne is declared dead. Lucious asks Thirsty if there’s any way to “put Humpty Dumpty back together again.” You know what that means. You also know that Thirsty will delivers because now we’re sitting at an Empire memorial for Shyne. Nessa is singing and Lucious has the nerve to be sitting next to Shyne’s girlfriend giving condolences. They’re also across from several of his babymamas who all expect to be taken care of now that Shyne is gone. Lucious is on top if it for now, but there’s something that doesn’t feel right about this, meaning, you get the feeling that someone is going to find out that Lucious killed Shyne. At the very least, if they don’t get caught, Shyne’s absence is going to cost them Empire Records when it comes to the re-vote. Speaking of, Shyne’s girlfriend informs Lucious that Shyne always wanted Nessa to take his spot on the board if anything ever happened to him. Anika gets in Nessa’s head first. Nessa hates the Lyons so it’s easy. Andre broke her heart, Cookie smacked fire out of her, and Lucious pretty much ignored her. However, the aforementioned Lyons swallow at heir pride and apologize. Nessa is a tough sell, but eventually, she agrees to forgive them. Especially after Lucious offers to extend her contract for two more albums and give her a feature spot at the upcoming 20 for 20-anniversary showcase. Nessa asks Lucious if he knows who killed Shyne and Lucious lays it on thick about how he’s going to find out who did it and making them pay yatta yatta, we’ve seen this before with Freda Gatz. Anyway, it works and they get Nessa on their side. Anika and Eddie meet up because they’re screwed without Nessa so Eddie steps his evil mastermind game up. Digging up dirt on the Lyons won’t be effective because it’s common knowledge that they’re grimy. The next thing they can try to do to undermine Empire is find something on the artists, and they hit the jackpot. Cue the 20 For 20 showcase! There’s a moment when the screen gets hacked and an image of Blake (Shyne’s white rapper) as a kid sitting in front of a confederate flag and throwing up a Hitler salute. via GIPHY Becky and Hakeem confront Blake about it because they actually liked him. Blake admits that it’s him but that he’s not racist, and that his trash father made him pose for the picture. They give him the colonizer treatment and get him out of there vowing to deal with it later, but it’s too late. Tiana has a meltdown because word is out that Empire is affiliated with a racist artist and she doesn’t want to associate with Empire if that’s how they’re rolling. Then Eddie appears and offers to help. Lucious tries to get him to leave, but one of the board members asks him to stay. So Eddie then really really crosses the line by taking the mic like he runs things and announcing that he’s banning Blake from Empire and that he’s thankful that the board is granting him the power to make sure this never happens again. That’s when Lucious steps up on the stage and roughly grabs Eddie by the color. He wants to fight him at first but then Eddie whispers in his ear, “This is who you are, this is all you’ll ever be.” That’s enough to calm Lucious down and then Eddie eggs it on even more by slow clapping as Lucious walks away. Lucious has met his match and there’s only one episode left until the season ends. Hopefully, Lucious figures out how to pin Shyne’s murder on Eddie because things aren’t looking too good right now. Exclusive: Meet Elvire Emmanuel, Star Of Netflix’s Searing New Drama “First Match”

Courtesy of Netflix “First Match” Premieres On Netflix The lead star of the new Netflix movie, “First Match,” said she hopes her role will shed a light on lesser known stories of the Black Experience. Elvire Emmanuel said she put her all into her character, Monique, or Mo’ and her struggle for acceptance from her distant dad. “It’s an important story and it needed to be told,” Emmanuel told us. “It’s a story that you don’t hear that much, but it’s a reality for some people.” Written and directed by Olivia Newman, “First Match” centers around Mo’ – a girl in and out of foster homes – who joins her high school boys’ wrestling team in order to win over her estranged father. “Mo is shattered and broken, but she has to put on a strong face,” Emmanuel explained. “I wanted it to be authentic and real for people to understand that she’s real.” Emmanuel said writer director Newman shot the movie on location in Brownsville, Brooklyn, and is loosely based on true events and real people. Newman got the idea for the film after hanging out with a couple of girls who joined the boys wrestling team, and specifically one girl, who was in foster care, who learned at practice that her only living relatives – her grandparents – weren’t interested in taking her in. The young actress said she hopes viewers take away the fact that “when you fall down, you can get back up again.” “You’ll see the story of someone you don’t get to see much,” Emmanuel said, “and her trying to get better.” Continue reading

Family Business: Venus Williams Beats Serena For The First Time In Almost 4 Years

Tim Clayton/Corbis via Getty Images Venus And Serena Williams Battle It Out Once Again Venus Williams  defeated her younger sister Serena Williams  for the first time in almost four years,  beating the new mom in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California on Monday night. This makes Venus’ first victory over Serena since August of 2014, where she also came in over her sister at the Rogers Cup in Montreal. This is also the first matchup where Venus was the higher-ranked player since the sisters competed at Bangalore in March 2008. “I’m just lucky that I’ve played more matches than her right now. She just came roaring back. I had chances for the match to be over, but it wasn’t,” Venus said in an on-court interview after the game. Serena said about her sister, “I definitely know her well, but she definitely played a little bit better than she normally does. She served very consistently. She just did everything great.” She still leads Venus 17-12 in head-to-head meetings, and just played in her first WTA tournament after a 14-month layoff for the birth of her first child. Congrats to Venus on the big win!
