With tensions rising in a WNBA playoff game between the Phoenix Mercury and Minnesota Lynx, Phoenix star Diana Taurasi made a surprising move. She kissed Minnesota’s Seimone Augustus on the cheek. Diana Taurasi Kiss Taurasi’s Mercury were being clobbered by the Lynx in the Western Conference Finals opener when the two All-Stars appeared to exchange heated words. There was some pushing and shoulder checking, but before officials could separate Taurasi and Seimone, the former unexpectedly planted a kiss on the latter. Both players, who have known each other for years and were teammates on the U.S. women’s national team, were issued personal fouls on the play. So what the heck was that about?! “As far as me and Diana and the tango dance that we had, I always say she just wanted some of my deliciousness,” Augustus joked to reporters later. While she was in a less jovial mood after her team lost 85-62 in Game 1 of the best-of-three series, Taurasi made a similar comment about the exchange. “I was just trying to make sweet love,” Taurasi said, “That’s about it.” That seemed to be the media’s general, humorous take as well. Former WNBA star and current ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo Tweeted, “Diana Taurasi always breaking new ground on the basketball court. #kiss #hilarious”

Okay so first of all, I can’t even believe I’m being able to write a my Bieber experience. I bought my M&G tickets from VividSeats and no, I’m not rich. My sister had to take a loan out for me to pay off for the next two years so I could meet Justin. I’ve done everything to try and meet him but we got nowhere. I know what it’s like to not be able to afford anything so that’s why I created the ‘All Around The World Scrapbook Project’ for Justin. It was a scrapbook of beliebers who couldn’t afford concert tickets and that’s what I wanted my gift for Justin to be, a book of beliebers telling him how he changed their lives. When I got to the M&G they all made us line up at the end of the escalators. I was so nervous even though the M&G didn’t start until 6:30. Security was walking around and they spotted my scrapbook and instantly took it away. I didn’t understand why they were doing it so I followed them and tried to take it back. I told them how much I worked on it and how it took almost 6 months to make but they didn’t even care, I was so devastated. They told me I would get kicked out of the M&G if I didn’t go get back in line. We went up to the pre-show party and one of my Twitter friends (@dabelieberbunch) was with me and I just started to cry because I know how badly the beliebers all wanted this scrapbook to be given to Justin. The VIP/M&G director (Ryan) came over to me and asked me what was wrong. I told him everything that happened and then he immediately got mad, called security and told them to let me give my scrapbook to him so he could give it to Justin. Security was STILL arguing with us saying we couldn’t take anything to Justin so Ryan got really mad and said that if they didn’t give it to him he’d go and take it himself. They finally let me go get my scrapbook after it seemed like years of waiting! We then all got into the M&G line and I was holding onto the scrapbook. I can’t even tell you the things that were going through my head. I was just SO nervous. Ryan told me before I went in that Justin would respond well to questions, not statements. If I asked a question, I’d most likely get more time with him and if I didn’t freak out. I was almost next in line when I had to give Ryan my scrapbook. He took one look at it and he looked right in my eyes and in the serious voice ever he said, “Wow. I can PROMISE you this will get to Justin.” I started to cry and I thanked him so much for all of his help because he had no idea how much it meant to me and all the beliebers. I looked up and Justin was right in front of me. It took everything for me not to cry. Security pushed me forward and all I noticed was his sunglasses and hat. I remembered Ryan saying, “Be cool, calm, and collected,” so I simply said to Justin, “Hi Justin! I want to do a CRAZY meet and greet picture,” and he laughed. Yes I repeat, he LAUGHED and I almost died and he was like, “Sure, of course!” Justin pointed at the camera for me to look at and I laughed. Then I turned to him and looked him in his eyes (sunglasses lol) and said, “I love you so much.” He looked at me and said, “I love you too!” I then asked him for a hug but security tried to get in between us. Justin said “Stop” pushed the security away and let me hug him. I bawled so much when I got out of the M&G but Ryan was right, if you stay cool, calm and collected, you get a lot more time with him! Overall my meet and greet experience was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. The crew is the nicest crew I have ever met and they’d do anything for anyone. As for Justin, the media is a bunch of liars. Justin is one of the most nicest people I know and I am so honored that I got the chance to meet him. My advice to anyone wanting a meet and greet? Never give up. Even when you think it’s impossible it’ll happen when you least expect it. I am so blessed to have had this opportunity! I recommend anyone to get a M&G with Justin, it’s totally worth it. Thank you for reading my Bieber experience! -@believeeexoxo The rest is here: Okay so first of all, I can’t even believe I’m being…
We are still baffled over the segregated sororities in 2013, but we’re glad all the media attention has finally brought about change University of Alabama Ends Segregation In Sorority System According to TIME reports : Nearly a week after the University of Alabama came under fire for persistent segregation in its sorority system, school officials are set to announce a deal that would clear the way for black women to be admitted to the school’s prestigious and historically white Greek organizations. The deal, which a university spokesperson confirmed to TIME, is the first step toward ending more than a century of systematic segregation in the school’s sorority system. The move comes after a story last week in the school’s student newspaper, The Crimson White, about a highly qualified black student being denied a bid to join any of the school’s prestigious, historically white sororities. Despite receiving excellent scores during the recruitment process from current sorority members, the young woman — who requested that her name not appear in the paper’s story – was reportedly blocked by alumnae. The sole reason, according to current sorority members: she was black. Another black woman was also denied a bid. Some alumnae even threatened to pull financial support from their sororities if they accepted black members. “The issue is the alumnae and not the undergraduates,” says Gentry McCreary, who served as Alabama’s director of greek affairs from 2007 to 2011. “There’s definitely some fear, whether real or imagined, that there would be some repercussions if a sorority took an African American member. They’re able to subvert the will of the chapter, and it’s gone on for far too long.” The new agreement will allow sororities to offer new bids to candidates who were not accepted during the recruitment process. The deal was reached following an emergency meeting Sunday night between University President Judy Bonner and sorority chapter advisors. The agreement is expected to allow sororities to extend bids to the young women mentioned in the Crimson White article. If they accept the offers, it will end one of the last bastions of segregation at the school. “The allegations are that young women were not selected because of their race,” Bonner said via email. “If these allegations are true, then that is discrimination. It is against the law, University policy and the policy of the national organizations. No University organization will be allowed to discriminate against students based on their race.” It took a newspaper article to bring about change? Sad. Facebook
