He may be avoiding professional help , but Lamar Odom cannot avoid the law. Following his August 30 arrest, the troubled husband of Khloe Kardashian was officially charged Friday with one count of Driving Under the Influence. Lamar Odom Arrest Details Odom was pulled over around 3:30 a.m. on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles because cops noticed he was driving too slow (yes, too slow ). He then failed a number of field sobriety tests and was hailed off to jail. Once there, Lamar refused to submit to a blood alcohol test. This actually helped his cause in a sense because police cannot now change him for hitting a number above the legal limit of .08, but it has consequences. Odom will lose his driver’s license for a year as a result. If convicted on the DUI charge, he will likely face probation and some kind of alcohol education course. This is Odom’s first drunk driving offense. He will be arraigned on September 27.
Despite reports that he was off the hook, Kanye West has been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft for his LAX photographer smackdown. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, which the rapper left. The alleged victim went to the hospital and has filed a lawsuit, but charges weren’t filed. Until today, that is. The photographer hired Gloria Allred, who said the attack left her client badly injured and that West tried to gank his camera as well. The baby daddy of Kim Kardashian faces a maximum of a year in jail if convicted of both misdemeanor offenses and will be arraigned October 10. The L.A. City Attorney is believed to have filed the charges , after another investigative agency declined to do so after looking into the matter last month. Prosecutors in L.A. County determined the photographer did not have a significant injury; his camera wasn’t stolen, and it’s not clear if it was even damaged. No weapon was used and West doesn’t have a record, so despite his hostile relationship with the media, so there was no evidence of a crime committed. The City Attorney disagreed, which is bad news for West, who hates cameramen as much as he loves Kim and North – and in part because of Kim and North.

Taking after his showbiz mom, Jeffrey was the life of the party as he danced down the runway and giving out high fives to the professional athletes in the front row. According to Radar Online Brody Jenner‘s resentful about the mental anguish his stepsister Kim Kardashian went through during her pregnancy with baby North earlier this year, claiming she was at the receiving end of cruel and unnecessary treatment from the media as she packed on the pounds. “A lot of very cruel things were written about her,” Brody, who was prominently featured on this past season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, told the U.K.’s Now magazine. “When you’re pregnant it should be a great stage in your life and you shouldn’t have to go to every newsstand and see pictures and headlines saying: ‘Kim’s a whale.’” He gave insight as to how rough things got, saying that “for a while, Kim was all bummed out with all the ridicule she was getting about her weight during her pregnancy … it was definitely getting to her. “I know it upset her — it should have been one of the happiest times of her life and it wasn’t,” the hunky star of The Hills said. “People gain weight when they’re pregnant and there’s nothing wrong with that. White FSU Student Under Investigation Over Racist Social Media Post A Florida State University student who claims the racist messages directed towards her fellow minority students that came from her Twitter and Vine accounts were the result of a hacker. via Huffington Post A racist post sent from a Florida State University student’s Vine and Twitter social media accounts set off a firestorm at the Tallahassee campus this week. Mandy Thurston’s Vine and Twitter accounts on Wednesday posted the message, “Welcome to FAMU…I mean FSU. #monkeyseverywhere,” according to screenshots circulated online (FAMU refers to Florida A&M University, a historically black university). The six-second Vine showed footage of students at the Oglesby Union courtyard on FSU’s campus during Market Wednesday, a weekly event where student organizations and vendors put up tables. The Vine post has since been deleted, as has Thurston’s Twitter account. Thurston told the Tallahassee Democrat Friday that her accounts had been hacked, and that she’s filed a police report about it. Maj. Jim Russell, assistant chief of FSU PD, confirmed to the newspaper that a report was filed this week, but did not provide any details. Prior to the Democrat’s report of the alleged hacking, campus police and the FSU administration had announced to the student body that an investigation was underway. Man Chopped With Hatchet, Thrown In River By Pimp & Prostitutes SMH at the hookers’names being “Angel” (pictured above) and “Cinderella”.. Via NBC Philly: Two alleged prostitutes and their pimp are charged in the murder and mutilation of a Northeast Philadelphia man in a Center City apartment. Police say the women called themselves “Angel” and “Cinderella.” Philadelphia Police say three people killed a Northeast Philadelphia man, chopped up his body and tossed it into the Schuylkill River after a botched robbery. Keith Tolbert, Angel Weston and Stephenie Foulke were charged Thursday with the murder of Frank Zarzycki, police said. Zarzycki’s torso was found by fishermen near the 1300 block of Schuylkill Avenue in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. The 40-year-old’s head, arms and legs had been chopped off and were missing. Using a distinctive tattoo on Zarzycki’s upper back, investigators on Wednesday were able to identify the man who had been reported missing by family a week before. Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit Capt. James Clark said Zarzycki, who lived in the Somerton section of the city, went to Apartment 26 inside 220 South 11th Street last Monday, August 26 to have sex with prostitutes. The man allegedly began an act with Weston, 21, and Foulke, 22, in the apartment’s living room when Tolbert, 34, came in to rob Zarzycki. During the struggle, Zarzycki was beaten, tasered and then suffocated. He died as a result of the fight. Capt. Clark said investigators believe the trio panicked and dragged the man’s lifeless body to the bathroom. There, Tolbert allegedly used a hatchet to dismember Zarzycki. His torso was then placed into a bag and thrown into the river, police said. Investigators are still searching for Zarzycki’s other body parts and are leaning on the suspects to share where and how they were disposed. The trio were arrested on Saturday, before Zarzycki’s body was found, after the department’s Vice Unit held a sting at the apartment. The housing unit is listed in Tolbert’s name. Capt. Clark said the home was a known prostitution spot and that phone and computer records showed the victim had frequented the place. “My understanding is he had been there before and obviously he wasn’t robbed, but for whatever reason, this time they chose to rob him and it escalated to him being killed,” Capt. Clark said. Neighbors who live in the apartment building tell NBC10.com they saw plain clothed officers visit the same apartment last week and arrest a man and woman for alleged prostitution. NBC10 visited Zarzycki’s family in Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday, but they did not want to speak with the media.
