Guitarist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney released a statement on Tuesday in which they said, “Jerry and Sean are mourning the loss of their friend and ask that the media respect their privacy — and the privacy of Mike’s family — during this difficult time. Their thoughts & prayers are with the Starr family.” Starr, 44, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in his Salt Lake City home. A co-founding member of the pioneering Seattle grunge band, Starr appeared on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” in 2009. He was arrested on February 18 for felony possession of a controlled substance. Salt Lake City police said he had several painkillers on him when he was arrested. Apple CEO Steve Jobs briefly emerged from his medical leave and walked on stage to standing ovation Wednesday to unveil the second generation of the popular iPad, which will go on sale March 11 in the U.S. Jobs looked frail as he appeared in his signature black mock turtleneck, blue jeans and wire-rimmed glasses. “We’ve been working on this product for a while, and I just didn’t want to miss today,” Jobs said. “Thank you for having me.” The next-generation tablet computer has a faster processor than the original iPad’s. As expected, it comes with two cameras for taking photos and video chatting. The battery life will be the same as the original — about 10 hours of usage and a month on standby. The iPad 2 is also thinner — 8.8 millimeters instead of the current 13.4 millimeters. “The new iPad 2 is actually thinner than your iPhone 4,” Jobs said. The original iPad, which burst onto the scene last April, was more popular than analysts imagined. Apple sold 15 million in nine months. McGhee Sextuplets family Picture

The McGhee sextuplets were the first to be born in Columbus. McGhee welcomed their six children in June. The babies were born at The Ohio State University Medical Center. The family flew to Chicago earlier this month to tape the show and said organization was key to traveling with six infants. It was one surprise after another for a Columbus family who appeared on the Oprah show. Mia and Rozonno McGhee and their six children were featured on Monday#39;s show, 10TV#39;s AJ Smith reported. What can you say about Eva Amurri ? She’s the daughter of busty babe Susan Sarandon , who talked Eva into making her nude debut on an October 2009 episode of the Showtime series Californication . She’s a graduate of Brown University and speaks four languages. She and her huge knockers are engaged to some lucky bozo named Kyle Martino . And now she’s set to star alongside Christine Lahti in the pilot episode of the CBS drama The Doctor. Lahti, who won a Golden Globe for playing a doctor on the medical drama Chicago Hope , plays an MD who reconnects with her adult children when she joins the family medical practice. Mr. Skin can see one plot hole already—Lahti doesn’t have the sweater-sacks to have spawned a daughter with dairy bombs like that. But if Christine’s the doctor, does that make Eva the nurse? Bret Michaels’ Heart Surgery Successful

Todaro/ Getty Images Poison singer and reality-TV star Bret Michaels had successful surgery on Monday to repair a hole in his heart. It was some good medical news after several years of health scares for the 47-year-old “Celebrity Apprentice” winner . According to The Associated Press, the surgery took place at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, and a hospital spokeswoman said Michaels is recuperating and remains in the facility’s intensive care unit for observation. Doctors discovered a hole in Michaels’ heart in April after he was treated for a brain hemorrhage . During Monday’s procedure, doctors inserted a catheter into a vein in Michaels’ groin with a surgical device and then used tiny cameras to close the hole in his heart. The closure device will remain inside the rocker’s heart permanently to stop abnormal blood flow between two chambers of his heart, which doctors think could have caused the stroke he suffered last year. The impending surgery didn’t slow Michaels down over the weekend, when he attended a classic car show in Phoenix and auctioned off his 1969 Camaro — which had a cameo in his recent VH1 series, “Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It” — for more than $200,000, before checking into the hospital on Saturday night to prepare for the procedure. “Barring any complications, I should be out within three or four days,” he told the Arizona Republic newspaper on Friday. “Then, I will be down (resting) for three weeks. I don’t know if I can sit around for that long, but I’ll try my best.” Michaels, who also had an emergency appendectomy in April, recently proposed to his girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Gibson, who is also the mother of his two children. Guilt Over Anorexic Model’s Death Drives Mother To Suicide

SMH. The mother of Isabelle Caro, the anorexic French model who died last year, has committed suicide. Marie Caro, whose daughter made headlines around the world after a picture of her gaunt naked body appeared in a shocking ad campaign, took her own life earlier this month after being consumed with ‘enormous guilt’. Isabelle died at the age of 28 in a French hospital on November 17 after she was admitted for severe dehydration. ‘[Marie] felt guilty for having put my daughter in the Bichat Hospital. My daughter did not want to go to that hospital,’ Isabelle’s step-father Christian told Swiss newspaper 20 Minutes. In a statement released after Isabelle’s death, Mr Caro said that his step-daughter had died ‘from the successive consequences of negligence by the medical staff’. He has since launched a legal complaint against the hospital. In 2008 Isabelle released an autobiography called The Little Girl Who Didn’t Want to Get Fat in which she wrote that her mother appeared to resent her growing up. The model famously featured in an ad campaign by Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani in 2007 for an Italian fashion house. Under the headline ‘No Anorexia’, images across newspapers and billboards showed her naked, vertebrae and facial bones protruding. At 5ft 4in, she is reported to have weighed just 4st 8lb (68lbs) at the time. She said she had suffered from anorexia since she was 13 as the result of a ‘difficult childhood’. At the time of the campaign, she wrote: ‘I’ve hidden myself and covered myself for too long. Here’s hoping they’ve both found peace in the Beyond.

By Gil Kaufman Lil Jon Photo: Getty Images Real estate mogul Donald Trump may not have decided whether he’s running for president, but he’s definitely put together the strangest cabinet yet for the upcoming season of “Celebrity Apprentice.” The Donald went on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday to unveil the cast for the 11th season of the reality competition, and once again it is a fascinating grab bag of musicians, models, sports figures and actors. From the world of music, the cast of 16 includes King of Crunk Lil Jon, Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath, country star John Rich, classic rocker Meat Loaf, LaToya Jackson and R&B legend Dionne Warwick. Among the actors signing on for the chance to win some cash for the charity of their choice are unhinged reality staple Gary Busey, 1970s teen idol and “Partridge Family” star David Cassidy, Lisa Rinna and Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin. “LaToya Jackson and Gary Busey anywhere, I’m there!” Fallon enthused. “Gary Busey, yikes.” The other famous faces include tax-troubled “Survivor” winner Richard Hatch, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” firecracker NeNe Leakes, former “View” host Star Jones, model Niki Taylor, former baseball star Jose Canseco and Playboy Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk.
