Adding to the fallout, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis removed some artifacts of the later entertainer from their facility. IndyStar.com reports : The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis removed three Michael Jackson items from exhibits this month, joining a handful of organizations that have reassessed connections to the late singer following HBO’s airing of documentary film “Leaving Neverland.” The two-part film, which premiered March 3-4, focuses on Wade Robson and James Safechuck, two adult men who allege Jackson sexually abused them when they were children. “When we put together exhibitions, we look at the objects and their association with high-profile people,” said Chris Carron, the museum’s director of collections. “Obviously, we want to put stories in front of our visitors (showing) people of high character.” The estate of Michael Jackson has launched a lawsuit against HBO for putting out the documentary. — Photo: Getty
T he mother of 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones could soon face charges for played some role in the death of her child who was found in a duffel bag on a trail in Hacienda Heights, California. SEE ALSO: Vigil Held After Police Identify Dead Body As Missing 2-Year-Old Noelani Robinson Investigators said they were preparing a criminal case against Taquesta Graham , 28, that they plan to present to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, KTRK-TV reported on Friday. Authorities extradited Graham on Thursday from Texas to Los Angeles where she’s being held on an unrelated warrant. After she arrived in Los Angeles, investigators interviewed her regarding her daughter’s killing. She was not immediately charged in the girl’s death. On March 12, police arrested Graham’s boyfriend, 38-year-old Emiel Hunt , and charged him with Trinity’s murder. Hunt faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life behind bars if he’s convicted. Graham, a registered sex offender, was convicted in 2009 of enticing a minor female for prostitution. Hunt, who has a prior child abuse conviction from 2005, was taken into custody on March 9 near the San Diego International Airport. His arrest marked the culmination of a mystery about Trinity’s identity after her body was discovered. Deputy Marvin Crowder said the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner called about 8:30 p.m. Friday to notify the sheriff’s office about the status update. It was previously designated a suspicious death investigation. This homicide ruling confirmed what many had already suspected—she was killed intentionally. The sheriff’s office released this statement about the case, “The victim was found partially inside a black rollaway type duffle bag … where her upper body was seen protruding. Although preliminary investigation initially led investigators to believe the victim was between the ages of seven and 10 years, further investigation with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner determined the victim was a Black female between the ages of eight and 13. The young girl was found to be wearing a pink, long sleeve shirt with gray panda print pants (actual clothing depicted). She stood approx. 4 ft, 5 inch. tall and weighed about 55 lbs. No obvious signs of trauma were found on the victim’s body.” Workers found her body in bushes near a popular trail. The actor best known for playing Rollo on comedy series “Sanford & Son” passed away Saturday, according to his son Kaedi Taylor. Taylor told the Associated Press that his father passed away at Los Angeles’ Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after suffering a heart attack. He was 80-years-old. Before his passing Taylor also played roles in “The Red Foxx Show”, the “Sanford & Son” spinoff “Sanford” and “What’s Happening.” He is survived by his wife, Loretta, four daughters, and three sons. R.I.P.
Joe and Kendra Duggar have finally joined Instagram! And they’re probably regretting their decision right about now. It only took about five seconds before cruel social media users began shunning the young parents. Joe’s sister, Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo welcomed the two to IG by posting an adorable photo of their family, but rather than fans celebrating the news, they took to the comment section with questions about baby Garrett’s health. Jinger shared the photo with her brother and sister-in-law captioning it “Welcome to Instagram Joe and Kendra!” and linked their fans to their page @littleduggarfamily. The parents of 8-month-old Garrett joined Insta last week and shared a cute photo of their little guy. Saying, “We finally decided to get social media! Still trying to figure out how it works. Looking forward to keeping y’all updated on our little family.” Remind you, Kendra and Joe are only 20-years-old — not 50 — and should be well aware of social media’s functions. But their followers’ petty concerns flooded in about innocent, little Garrett (and not his parent’s late arrival to the IG party). Several users commented on his eyes asking, “Does Garrett have a lazy eye?” Followers also noted on the way the baby holds his head at a slight tilt. One user shared her undesired motherly advice writing, “It really looks like he needs a helmet not being rude or mean my child had one and i can see in the other pic this needs to be addressed i hope someone close can tell them. He probably favored a side and has a flat head which causes eye to be off.” Another added, “Adorable. But please, please have him checked for hydrocephalus.” And as crazy as the Duggars are , they do believe in Western medicine. So if there is a medical concern regarding Garrett, we’re sure the mom is on top of it with her pediatrician. You know, a real doctor. Not Instagram trolls who believe they have the ability to diagnose everything and everyone. One user, who must be trusted due to her name @hotmessmom wrote, “Garrett has torticollis, he needs pt. It only takes a few times to fix it.” According to healthline.com, torticollis is also known as “wry neck,” and occurs when “the top of the head generally tilts to one side.” Other people chimed in agreeing with the medical examinations. “Yes my baby girl had Torticollis too. I noticed it in Garrett right away,” wrote yet another mom. Thankfully, there are always the good guys of the internet. One user wrote, “I have an idea for people, unless you have MD after your name and are this families physician then keep your mouth shut. They aren’t asking for medical advice from random people…Now that being said, those babies are the cutest!!!” We wouldn’t be surprised if the young couple trashes their new Insta account any day now. Democratic Governor Ralph Northam was put on blast by a right-wing website Big League Politics that is run by former Roy Moore campaign official. You remember Roy Moore, right? The alleged pedo-perv who ran for governor and is said to have hung out at Alabama shopping malls to meet young girls back in his 30s. We digress, but it was worth noting. Anyway, BLP published a photo from Northam’s medical school year book that shows two men, one of which is him, standing side-by-side wearing Blackface and a KKK outfit respectively. Obviously Democrats from all corners of the party are calling for him to resign immediately. Northam has no plans on tendering one, instead, he offered this “apology” via Twitter Friday night. In his statement Friday, Northam apologized for the “decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now.” “This behavior is not in keeping with who I am today and the values I have fought for throughout my career in the military, in medicine, and in public service,” he said. Today, in a weird turn-of-events, Northam is doing a complete about-face. According to CNN , he’s now unsure that it is him inthe photograph because he doesn’t remember taking it. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has told a source he now believes it is not him in a racist yearbook photo and that he has no recollection of taking the photo, according a top Virginia Democratic source who spoke to the governor on Saturday. Northam told the source he was in touch with some of his former Eastern Virginia Medical School colleagues, who said they believed many of the pictures in the yearbook were mixed up. According to reports from Bloomberg , Acreage Holdings claims that CBS cut a medical marijuana ad from the televised portion of the Super Bowl after viewing a rough outline of the commercial. The multi-state marijuana company tells the publication that the goal of the advertisement was to “create an advocacy campaign for constituents who are being lost in the dialogue” and thought that the most-watched event of the year could help push this same narrative. Although medical marijuana is legal in over 30 states as of now, federal restrictions hinder many from actually obtaining their cannabis. Let’s look at Oklahoma, for example. Even though medical marijuana is legal in the state, the Tulsa World reports that it is against the law for a doctor to actually prescribe the substance. This is due to the fact that marijuana is still classified by the federal government as a schedule one controlled substance–which means doctors are prohibited from discussing strains and dosages with their patients as that would be considered aiding and abetting, which is punishable by law. These nuanced–and quite frankly, confusing–difficulties that occur around the country are the reason that many feel the commercial would have been informative and beneficial airing during the Super Bowl. Now, fans are calling out the league’s hypocrisy for choosing not to air the ad because, like we mentioned before, the big game is known for giving tons of air time to beer. And we all know network television has no problem airing commercials for prescription drugs. So the game sponsored by the alcohol industry that consists of people beating the crap out of each other and which turns a blind eye to domestic violence now has the moral high ground to decide that a little green plant used for medicine is too much for viewers to handle. 90 Day Fiance stars Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha quit the series after receiving some harrowing death threats. Fans are convinced that Leida is a bad person, and some took their outrage at her actions way too far. Now, a report says that Leida’s whole goal in the first place was to become a reality star. Did she bite off more than she can chew? A Soapdirt article has been circulating recently that claimed that Eric Rosenbrook secured Leida Margaretha’s engagement on one condition: The two of them had to become reality stars on 90 Day Fiance . Or, at the very least, they had to apply. Eric shot down this rumor speaking to various 90 Day Fiance fanblogs, and then took to his own Instagram stories to clear things up. “It’s not true,” Eric stated on Instagram. “In the least.” “We were engaged,” he affirmed. “And the K1 petition was filed long before we even knew about 90 Day Fiance .” Of course, some fans believe that Leida’s ulterior motive is very clear. It’s just that becoming a reality star was not her goal from the start. Leida has shared that she intends to further her alleged medical career here in the United States. She has told fans and followers alike that she is studying for her US Medical License Exam. However, some internet sleuths have cast doubt upon this claim — because the timeline doesn’t match up. Indonesian medical school lasts for six years, but Leida’s social media information says that she was in medical school from 2008 to 2012. Is she even a real doctor? Some fans suspect that she is not. There are rumors circulating about Leida that are far worse than lying about being a doctor. Leida’s ex’s wife took to social media to claim that Leida once tried to give away her 5-year-old son. “She asked my husband, her ex f–kboy to adopt her son,” the woman claimed. “Apparently,” she continued. “She asked my husband for not only him to adopt Aless, but us both.” Leida’s alleged motive was the hope that she could become “child-free.” We hope that we do not have to explain why this horrifying rumor is dubious at best. There is zero proof that it is true and, presumably, the woman has every motive to disparage Leida. There are plenty of real, verifiable reasons for people to dislike Leida if that is their aim. Leida herself has openly acknowledged that she was unkind to Eric and especially unkind to his children. She drove Eric’s 19-year-old daughter, Tasha, from her own apartment. Leida then chastised Eric on camera for paying child support to his ex for their youngest daughter. Fans did not take that well, and Leida has abased herself before 90 Day Fiance viewers. Hating some reality stars is part of the experience, but some fans took things too far with Leida. These viewers made death threats against Leida and Eric for their behavior on the show. Worst of all, some of these hateful messages even threatened the safety of Leida’s 5-year-old son, Alessandro. While we hope that no one making these threats was seriously contemplating any of this, that is … never acceptable. To make matters worse, Wallace was a K-9 handler! You’d think he would be more compassionate to animals right? According to NY Post reports: The footage was captured when Wallace responded to a call about an aggressive dog at an apartment complex in Conway, AR, Fox 16 reported. It shows the deputy speaking with a homeowner while two small dogs run around the yard, but when Reeses starts barking, Wallace shoots the dog. The yelping from the animal is really heart-wrenching. Wallace has been terminated from his position according to a post on the department’s Facebook page: “I was notified Friday of an incident involving Deputy Keenan Wallace. Deputy Wallace fired his service weapon that injured an animal while in close proximity to a citizen. I believe there were numerous opportunities to de-escalate the incident, “ reads a statement from Tim Ryals on the County Sheriff’s Facebook page announcing Wallace’s termination. “Our Department is saddened about this incident and apologizes for any distress and disappointment this incident has caused anyone who was affected by this disheartening event. We will keep Reeses in our thoughts through the recovery process,” continues the post. Prosecutors are reviewing the incident to determine whether criminal charges will be filed or not, Ryals said. William “Willbilly” Hathaway, a cast member on the National Geographic Channel reality show Wicked Tuna, died on Saturday due to injuries he sustained in a car accident. He was 36 years old. According to local news outlets, Hathaway was involved in a crash in Salisbury, Maryland after he swerved off a remote countryside road into a ditch. WBOC16 says that Maryland State Police received a 911 call from a concerned citizen who drove past a Toyota truck on Old Ocean City Road; the station then received numerous similar calls shortly afterwards. The incident took place around 4 p.m. local time. Hathaway, meanwhile, supposedly called his wife after the accident occurred and said he was alright. However, paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and found the reality star “slumped over the center console,” not breathing. The aforementioned news outlet claims he was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Hathaway was allegedly forced off the road and into the ditch when another vehicle cut him off. His airbags reportedly never deployed. In response to this tragedy, friends and loved ones have started a Facebook fundraiser to raise money for Hathaway’s wife and their newborn daughter, Molly. A spokesperson for the Ocean CityFishing Community wrote on the page: “He was an exceptional human being whose passion was the sea. He always brightened the day of anyone he met. His wife and new born baby girl he was most proud of.” “Due to his untimely death we are asking for donations to help them stay on their feet while trying to survive this tragedy.” As of this writing, more than $56,500 of the $250,000 fundraising goal had been reached. Hathaway was part of the fishing crew on the Ocean City-based Foolish Pleasures vessel, which was featured on Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks. The series itself debuted in April of 2012.
