Six people were killed in a bar shooting in Cancun Thursday, according to reports. Two men armed with a machine gun and a handgun opened fire in a bar on the outskirts of the Mexican tourist resort town. Five others were wounded. A popular vacation area on the Caribbean, Cancun has largely escaped the violence that has racked Acapulco, a faded tourist hot spot on the Pacific. The country’s drug trade is largely blamed for Mexico’s crime problem . Just last month, six Spanish women were raped by hooded gunmen who forced their way into the Acapulco beach house the women had rented. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has vowed to reduce the violence that soared after his predecessor, Felipe Calderon, launched an assault on drug cartels. How bad is it? More than 70,000 people have been killed just from drug-related violence in Mexico since 2007, according to government estimates.
It was on September 28 and 29, 2012. One day before the Believe tour started, my friends (@salmagv @lusiannajt @alexaortiz7 @pau_vema) and I travelled from Mexico to Glendale AZ. When we were on our way to Glendale when we saw pictures on Twitter of girls with Justin outside the arena, so we went there as soon as we got to Glendale. When got there at 3 p.m., there were only a couple of girls there at the time. Justin wasn’t outside, but Scooter and Carly were. We took pictures with them, Carly is so pretty and cute, and Scooter was so nice to us. It was awesome! When they went inside we stayed there, and waited for Justin. While we were waiting for Justin there was a girl from the local Fox News. She asked us some things about Justin and then thanked all of us for behaving while she talked. Later in the night everyone was around the fence. I was with one friend, then everyone started screaming, and I looked to my left and Justin was on his segway coming towards us, I couldn’t believed it. I was screaming so loud. He went around the fence touching everyone’s hands, and I touched HIM. Then someone opened the fence, so everyone started running after him. Soon after that he went inside. After about 25 minutes his bus came out and Alfredo and him were on it. As the bus headed to the street, we ran after him and screamed but then he got on the highway and left. I still can’t believe what happened. When we got to our hotel room we logged into Twitter and saw that Justin tweeted the video of the girl of Fox News. (I’m the one with the yellow cardboard). I also saw that @quotesfrombieb uploaded a pic of us touching Justin, so I asked her to send it to me, and she did. The next day, we arrived at the concert and it was amazing, we were crying, yelling, and singing. After the concert we were outside the arena and we were waiting for water outside a bar that’s next to the arena and Dan went there and I hugged him and we took a pic. Everything started the day I bought my tickets. I didn’t know they were going on sale that day at 12, but someone tweeted it and I called my dad. It was at 10 so I had 2 hours left. At 11, I read everyone’s tweets saying that they had gotten their tickets and I was so confused but then I remembered about the time zone difference. I ended up getting tickets, I didn’t get front row, but at least I had them. 7 months later, one day before the concert, I traveled 4 hours from Mexico to San Antonio, TX. When we arrived at the venue, we stopped off near the tour buses. My friend told me Kenny’s tweet mentioned the exact place they would be. Turns out it was a bar but we ended up getting in. It was 6 pm, and they kicked us out at 9pm but the Bieber crew weren’t they yet. Then we realized in front of this bar was a hotel. At around 10 pm, we were just parking the truck when I saw Kenny, Dan, and the dancers crossing the street. As I could, I jumped out of the car and ran to them. I said to Kenny ”I LOVE YOU!” He just look at me and made the peace sign with his hand. When I got to the bar Dan was the only one who was still outside. We took pictures, I hugged him, and asked him were Justin was. He told us he was in Vegas for Lil Twist birthday. Then he went inside. I regret myself not asking for meet and greets, then I looked back at the bar door and saw him outside. I crossed the street and told him that I didn’t mean to bother him again but that if he could help my dream come true. I told him my story and finally he accepted. He typed my name in his phone and told me to be at the box office at 4pm! I hugged him, and when we were leaving I started singing “The Dan Kanter Song.” Of course I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it. The day was the concert and I got to the arena at 12. When I went to pick up my M&G’s the lady told me there wasn’t anything under my name. I kept going back to check and they weren’t believing me! Finally I got my envelope and there was my passes inside. While I was in the line, I saw Dan Kanter. I asked if he remembered me from last night, he said yes! He actually had some cousins with him so he was standing with them. We waited for 90 minutes in the line, which is where I also met Kenny again. Suddenly we saw girls crying and shaking, the line was moving fast. I was very nervous. The ones in front of us got in, I could see his hair, it was golden. Then was our turn. I ran fast to be next to him, he wrapped his arm around me, and so I did. Then the photographer counted 1, 2, 3 and he snapped the picture. That was the fastest meeting in my whole life . I couldn’t believe he was even real, he looked so perfect. Like a doll. Then we ran outside the building crying and screaming. My mom gave me my tickets and we got inside.
