Miley, Liam And Five Other Famous Workplace Romances

Cyrus and Hemsworth join a long list of celebrity couples who first met on set. By Kara Warner Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Photo: Michael Buckner/Getty Images Just about nothing makes more headlines in the world of entertainment than celebrity engagements. Unsurprisingly, the news of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s plans to wed has caused a media storm. Since their romance got its start on the set of their movie “The Last Song” , we got to thinking about all the other couples who met and later married after meeting at work Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan The “Magic Mike” star and his lovely actress/dancer wife Jenna Dewan met in 2006 during the filming of “Step Up.” They officially started dating after production wrapped, were engaged in 2008 and married on July 11, 2009, in Malibu. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie The couple that launched the blended celebrity name game was born out of their filming 2005’s action adventure “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Though rumors swirled of an onset romance, Brangelina insisted that they didn’t start dating until after Pitt was officially separated from then-wife Jennifer Aniston. Pitt was not Jolie’s first set-generated romance, she had married onetime co-stars Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner met in 2004 on the set of “Daredevil,” shortly after Garner ended a relationship with another co-star, Michael Vartan, whom she met on “Alias.” Affleck and Garner became engaged nine months later and married on June 29, 2005. Similar to Jolie’s serial on-set dating, Jennifer Garner had previously dated and married her “Felicity” co-star Scott Foley. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Although Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. met and became friends on the set of 1997’s teen horror flick “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” they didn’t start dating until 2000.The couple became engaged in 2001 and were married in Mexico on September 1, 2002 in a ceremony officiated by “Rock of Ages” director Adam Shankman, with whom Gellar had worked on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Jay-Z and Beyonc

‘Glee’ Nabs Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson For Guest Spots

Parker will appear in at least one episode next season, while Hudson has been confirmed for six-episode arc. By Jocelyn Vena Sarah Jessica Parker Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images Stylish leading ladies Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson have just been announced as the latest A-listers to appear on “Glee.” While details about their roles and story lines on the Fox hit have yet to be announced, according to the network, Parker will appear in at least one episode, while Hudson has been confirmed for a six-episode arc. The news comes hot on the heels that the show has been moved to Thursday nights, to air on the same night as results shows for either “The X Factor” or “American Idol.” The show’s season finale is set to air May 22. It includes appearances from Lindsay Lohan and Perez Hilton. The fourth season of the show, set to premiere this fall, will follow the graduating class of McKinley High as they pursue their dreams outside of New Directions. Many fans have been wondering how the show will press on outside of the high school setting, and with the network expected to hold its upfront presentation in New York on Monday (May 14), those questions should get some answers. Fox is expected to make a number of announcements at the event. The biggest news expected to come out of the presentation is the announcement that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have been confirmed to sit at the judges’ table alongside L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell on “X Factor” this fall. The new Thursday-night block of “Glee” and “X Factor”/ “American Idol” makes sense, given that all of the programs are music-centric. Tuesday nights on the network will now be focused on comedy, with “New Girl” and “Raising Hope” airing that night alongside new shows “Ben and Kate” and “The Mindy Project,” starring Mindy Kaling of “The Office.”

Jimmy Kimmel As Emmy Host: 4 Things He Should Do

We’d love to see ‘TV Movie: The TV Movie’ trailer, a musical number and a Handsome Men’s Club meeting. By Kara Warner Jimmy Kimmel Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images Congratulations to late-night host turned fancy emcee Jimmy Kimmel, the recently announced host of the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Although the September 23 live broadcast will be his first time hosting the television-awards show, the gig seems a natural fit for Kimmel, given his prior hosting duties for the American Music Awards, ESPN’s ESPYs and April’s always-high-profile White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Kimmel has six months to prepare material for the broadcast, which will air live on ABC, and while we have no doubt he and his team are already hard at work devising a plan of attack, we’ve come up with a few ideas of our own that we hope he’ll incorporate. A Trailer for “TV Movie: The TV Movie” One of the things we enjoy most about Kimmel is his ability to cash in on his close relationships with celebrities and how many of them he manages to involve in his parody videos or sketches — all in the name of fun, of course. Given the great success of “Movie: The Movie” , a star-studded parody trailer for a nonexistent blockbuster, we’re thinking he can work his magic for something TV-related: a mini-TV movie like “TV Movie: The TV Movie,” for example. Good-Natured Ribbing While Kimmel isn’t known for taking stars to task per se, a la Ricky Gervais’ brand of pot-stirring, he also won’t let someone get away with being completely ridiculous and will find a humorous way to make light of a troubling situation. (See Kimmel’s quick-witted improvisation when scheduled guest Lil Wayne canceled at the last minute). We’d like to see Kimmel have fun with the audience, particularly reality-show stars and his fellow talk-show hosts — many of whom are Kimmel’s pals anyway. Orchestrate a Show-Stopping Musical Number Who can forget Kimmel’s amazing contributions to Great Viral Music Videos via “I’m F—ing Ben Affleck,” , which was inspired by his girlfriend-at-the-time Sarah Silverman’s instant hit “I’m F—ing Matt Damon”? Again, this involves calling upon Kimmel’s A-list connections for their involvement, but if he can get the likes of Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, Pete Wentz and more together for a revenge video, surely he can pull off something magical for the live broadcast of the Emmys? What we’d really like to see is a musical performance featuring Damon, Affleck and Kimmel all singing together. A Second ‘Meeting’ of the Handsome Men’s Club Make no mistake, there were plenty of handsome men in Kimmel’s first video, but it’s been over two years since we’ve seen the meeting of the Handsome Men’s Club , and surely they’re due for another get-together. We’d like to know more about what being in that club actually means and what these handsome men do together. Also, we’re guessing they’ve added a few new members to their ranks, some fresh meat from “True Blood” for example, like Ryan Kwanten, Alexander Skarsg
