Debbie Rowe, the woman who gave birth to two of Michael Jackson’s children, stating she supports the new guardianship situation, with one caveat: She WILL intervene if things don’t work out. Rowe filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court saying she has reviewed and signed off on TJ and Katherine Jackson sharing responsibilities. She’ll be keeping her eye on it, however. Debbie Rowe warns that “Should the arrangement sought by TJ Jackson and Katherine Jackson become untenable, unstable, unsafe, or become in any way contrary to the [children’s best interests], Ms. Rowe will seek court intervention.” Rowe claims her concern is for the health, safety and well-being of HER children; and says she will continue to ensure their needs are met. TJ Jackson, the 34-year-old son of Tito Jackson, was appointed temporary co-guardian of Prince, Blanket and Paris Jackson after last month’s fiasco. When TJ first petitioned for guardianship, the judge said Debbie must be notified. That has clearly happened, and she is satisfied, for now. It’s unclear what recourse Debbie Rowe even has after relinquishing all custody to Michael Jackson years ago, but hopefully we won’t have to find out.

It’s unclear whether Kate Bosworth meant to go public with the news or not, but it’s too late now: She’s engaged to director Michael Polish! The actress made the announcement in an unusual way, updating her blog this week about her and her man’s trip to South Korea by writing: On our first day in Seoul, my fiance, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace… And there it is! Bosworth and Polish met on the set of Big Sur and went public with some serious PDA at Coldplay concert in August 2011. Prior to this relationship, Bosworth dated True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard for two years. We wish her and, yes, her fiance, nothing but the best. [Photo: WENN.com]
The London Olympics are almost over, but will we see swimming studs Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps square off on Dancing With the Stars next? A newly-retired Phelps said earlier in the week that he wouldn’t rule out following in the footsteps of Olympians who have gone on the ABC show. He’d probably do well, but if it’s up to his teammate and friendly rival Lochte, he’d best prepare himself for some stiff competition on the parquet. “Since I’m so used to competing against Michael Phelps, I’d go on [Dancing with the Stars] with him,” said Lochte, who won five medals in 2012. ” I could do Dancing with the Stars ! Yeah, I think so.” No doubt Ryan Lochte’s sister and mom in the audience cheering him on alongside Michael Phelps’ mom in what would be a rematch for the ages. Or at least reality TV. Who’d you rather see on DWTS?

What was intended to be a joke by Justin Bieber has landed the singer in a bit of hot water. In an interview with Rolling Stone – inside the same issue that contains sex advice from the young star – Bieber is asked about his nationality and responds: “I’m actually part Indian. I think Inuit or something? I’m enough percent that in Canada, I can get free gas.” Harmless, right? Not to everyone… The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples has chimed and the group is unhappy with the implication behind Justin’s words. “These kinds of remarks are another example of what Aboriginal Peoples in Canada struggle with every day,” says the organization in a statement. “These kinds of remarks are another example of what Aboriginal peoples in Canada struggle with every day. It promotes the misconception that we are somehow getting a free ride. This simply is not the case and we are concerned that many people may believe what he said.” Honestly, many people likely don’t even understand what Bieber said. Still, he clearly did offend some people. Should Justin apologize?
