Miley Cyrus Performances: On The Late Show, With Bret Michaels

While Perez Hilton is basking in the spotlight and milking his Miley Cyrus photo controversy for all its worth, the 17-year old singer at the center of this scandal is acting like the mature one. (Man, we never thought we’d write that about Miley Cyrus.) Instead of harping on that situation, Miley is focusing on her music: she appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, joked with the host about Twitter and then performed “Can’t Be Tamed.” Most amazingly, she did it while wearing pants! Miley on Late Show From there, Cyrus woke up today and took to the stage with Bret Michaels. First, though, she continued to defend her racy new image, saying on Good Morning America : “You have to be who you are to the full. There’s nothing that I’m holding back. And that’s what I want to give to my girl fans. Just be who you are.” Ah, there’s the pompous Miley Cyrus we know and love… to mock: sounding all high and mighty about her music when, in reality, she’s just another recycled pop singer that wears skimpy clothing to prove how “edgy” she is. Moreover, and we truly mean this with no predisposed bias or opinion of the singer, but just as people with two working ears: Miley sounds HORRIBLE in the following duet: Bret and Miley Duet

CURRENT MUSIC INTERVENTION

It's come to my attention, and yours if you have eyes, that Current's music section has somehow been reduced to UTTER TRASH! Enough is Enough! IT. ENDS. NOW! No more posting crap in the wrong section! No more posting irrelevant gossip crap irrelevant to music! No more posting of mainstream rap news or other mainstream crap!!! No more posting crap in the wrong section: the music section! If you have art, or something that's really, really important to say — just post it in the appropriate relevant sections and you'll be fine. Please do not dirty the music section, please! It's hard to navigate through to find genuine music oriented articles. The spirit of Current's Music section used to be about promoting indie artists! And people you've never heard of before, thus opening you up to new worlds and awesomeness – things you've never experienced before. I learned about Andrew Bird, Lykke Li, Santigold, and other great ARTISTS, true artists, from Current. But now that's gone as it is now filled with stupid gossip, misplaced articles, news pertaining to mainstream rap – which we all know is TRASH! Just trash. IN CONCLUSION: That's why I demand this end and we all work together to make the music section better. THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING. Simple. If you know of any indie artists or heard anything cool and actually great and listen-worthy (e.g ABSOLUTELY NOT Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, or— whatever! YOU KNOW BETTER!!!, YOU KNOW BETTER) please share and post articles relevant to music and the underground scenes. I sure am doing my part by posting artists to introduce everyone to new sounds, to make their life better – cuz that's what music's for, man! To make our lives better. To comfort us when we feel bad, to grooovve on and relax or depending on the beats per minute to frackin let loose and party and just act like a dancing fool! So please do your part. Post good music. Down erroneous articles. Confuscious said “Life without music is a mistake”. I truly believe that! added by: Aether_Vitae

ABC Yanks Ads from Perez Hilton, Blogger Responds to Miley Cyrus Photo Scandal

Acting maturely for a change, Miley Cyrus has chosen to pretty much blow off this week’s Perez Hilton photo scandal. Her simple response to that blogger Tweeting an upskirt picture of her on Tuesday? He’s just an idiot . But ABC has reacted to Hilton’s idiotic move in a harsher way, hitting the loser where it counts: in the wallet. The network has removed a banner ad for The View from Perezhilton.com. Said a source close to the situation: “It’s not a matter of whether you like [Perez Hilton] or not, it has to do with the morality of the issue. Miley is a minor, period. There are ethics involved in running an ad on a site that potentially violated the rights of a minor, and that is what the conversation is about at the network level.” That makes sense to us, but not to Perez, of course. He’s followed up his insincere apology to Miley and the public with this statement: “I find it odd that an advertiser would choose to pull an ad off my site because the photo in question, which was not pornographic and showed a fully clothed Miley Cyrus, was not posted on my website or even linked from my site.” How will each side move on? Perez will continue to enjoy the free publicity this scandal has allotted him, addressing it tonight on The Joy Behar Show . Cyrus, meanwhile, will perform a duet with Bret Michaels on Good Morning America tomorrow. Who would have thought a 17-year old would be the mature one in this feud? And who would have thought we’d ever take Miley’s side in anything? That seems to be the silver lining when it comes to Perez Hilton at least: His utter douche baggery can bring people together in mutual hatred.

Katy Perry Dishes On Whipped-Cream Bra In ‘California Gurls’ Video

‘It was really intense with all that whipped cream coming from my back through my assets,’ she tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry in her ‘California Gurls’ video Photo: Capitol Katy Perry dons a very unique piece of clothing for her “California Gurls” video , which made its sugary-sweet debut on Tuesday. In addition to her bedazzled Daisy Dukes and cupcake bra, there’s one particular accessory that will leave fans talking. In the latter part of the video, in order to defeat Snoop Dogg’s evil Sugar Daddy and his army of Gummi Bears, Perry turns to her whipped-cream-dispensing bra. “These whipped-cream [boobs] were in the music video because that was my only ammo,” she told MTV News. “I had to slay those Gummi Bears that were very evil. I had to show them who was boss in Candyfornia: the Gurls. The California Gurls, of course.” As cool as the costume may look now that the video is all done and ready for fans’ viewing pleasure, it wasn’t all that pleasant to wear during the shoot. “It was really intense with all that whipped cream coming from my back through my assets,” she said. On top of those chest-mounted frosting cannons, fans will also notice Katy’s cupcake bra, which was also a bit of a hassle on set. “I will tell you that those cupcake-bra boobies, they were a little bit heavy and they were interesting,” she said. “It was really fun making these costumes. They’re all one-of-a-kind, and I love the Bettie Page moment in the red and the whipped-cream cans.” What do you think of Perry’s whipped-cream brassiere? Tell us in the comments! Perez Hilton Offers Proof of Underwear-Clad Miley Cyrus

Earlier today, Miley Cyrus sent a message to the world: I am not a slut . Now, Perez Hilton has a message of his own: I am not a distributor of child pornography! The latter statement is needed because the self-absorbed, immature celebrity gossip blogger has been accused of Tweeting an uncensored photo of Miley’s crotch. In an insincere, lame video on his website today, Perez said: “Do you think I’m stupid enough to post a photo of Miley if she’s not wearing any underwear down there? No! Sure I like to seem controversial, but I don’t want to go to jail.” He then published the following circled photo, which depicts Miley in the same outfit as she wore in the original, scandalous picture (below, left) and supposedly proves she was wearing underwear all along: None of this changes the fact that Hilton is an absolute tool. He offers nothing interesting or creative on his blog, relying on such pathetic gimmicks as upskirt shots and penis drawings to get attention. At this point, there’s no real chance of Perez receiving any legal punishment, although a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney told Salon.com that it was “suicidal” for the blogger to distribute the image. “We’re not talking about a misdemeanor,” Jeffrey Douglas said. “You don’t have to know what the definition of the law is; all you have to do is knowingly distribute the photograph.” If you’re curious about the definition of douche bag, by the way, don’t bother opening up a dictionary. Just find a photo of Perez Hilton.
