Newt Gingrich on Mitt Romney: He Thinks We’re All Stupid!

The Florida Republican primary is less than a week away and the gloves are off. Having been whomped in South Carolina, Mitt Romney came out firing in Monday night’s Florida debate and has kept up the pressure on his GOP rival all week. New pro-Romney ads are calling Gingrich a liar who’s exaggerating loose ties to Ronald Reagan and drops names instead of touting his own policy credentials. Newt lashed out at Mitt today for questioning his conservative values. Watch: Newt Gingrich Defends Conservative Values “This is the man who stood up the other night to question my credentials as a Reaganite? This is the kind of gall they have to think we are so stupid, and we are so timid,” Gingrich said at an outdoor campaign event in Orlando, Florida. Newt has slipped a bit in recent polls since his demonstrative win. Can he shift the momentum back his way when the candidates debate again tonight?

Travis Barker Nude Photos Leak, Drummer Threatens Lawsuit

Travis Barker is doing all he can the public from seeing naked photos of himself and, for that, allow us to say the following to the veteran musician: THANK YOU! A handful of these images broke loose online yesterday morning, leading Barker’s lawyer to fire off a cease and desist letter to any site that posted them. Obtained by TMZ, it reads that the pics were over five years old, private and “never intended for public viewing or to be seen by anyone else.” The letter also threatens anyone who posts them with a lawsuit, deeming the action “unauthorized use of private photos.” Barker’s face is reportedly unseen, but the tattoos make it clear to whom the penis in question belongs. Some sites still have them live, and we’d link over to the shots… but, come on. Does anyone really want to see them? [Photo: WENN.com]

Rick Santorum Declared Iowa Caucus Winner Following Recount

Mitt Romney is suddenly looking for win #2 in a row rather than #3. While the former Massachusetts governor appeared to eke out a slim eight-vote win in the Iowa caucus on January 3, the Des Moines Register reports that the final count of the vote puts former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum ahead by 34. After a long night of vote-counting, Romney appeared to post the slimmest-ever margin of victory in Iowa, but GOP officials discovered inaccuracies in 131 precincts, not all of which affected the final vote, but which threw the race to Santorum. Rick Santorum won 29,839 votes to Mitt Romney’s 29,805. In essence, state GOP officials said, Iowa’s results come down to a virtual tie, or “split decision.” NBC News will still not declare a winner in the Iowa caucus, saying with results from eight precincts out of 1,774 missing, it is impossible to know who won. Nevertheless, Santorum declared victory today after the updated results were posted. What does this mean going forward? Not much. Romney put up a decisive victory in New Hampshire Jan. 10, while Santorum has faded fast since Iowa. It does deprive Romney of bragging rights, though, and the story could help dissuade primary voters in South Carolina that he is the inevitable nominee. South Carolina’s critical primary is Saturday, with Romney looking to hold off a surging Newt Gingrich, who shot past Santorum after Monday’s debate. Newt got more good news today with Rick Perry dropping out and throwing his support behind him – and in essence giving him more screen time at tonight’s debate. Then again, Marianne Gingrich also started doing interviews.

South Carolina Republican Debate: Schizo Crowd Cheers Lots of Harsh Sound Bites!

Jon Huntsman may have gotten out just in time. In front of by FAR the most raucous crowd of any Republican debate held thus far, the five remaining GOP hopefuls squared off in South Carolina last night. Ostensibly, everybody not named Mitt Romney angled to knock the frontrunner off his pedestal. In reality, it became a game of rhetorical one-upmanship. South Carolina GOP Debate The crowd cheered their support of U.S. soldiers urinating on dead Afghan bodies and their condemnation of the Obama administration’s condemnation of it. Newt Gingrich earned a standing ovation for this quote: “Andrew Jackson knew what to do with his enemies – he killed them.” How professorial he can be. Even Romney, the most vanilla of all candidates, got into the act, saying “The right thing for Osama bin Laden was the bullet in the head that he received.” No one here’s missing Osama, but really Mitt? The audience then jeered Ron Paul for suggesting that “we should practice the Golden Rule in foreign policy.” Nice to see we boo NOT bombing people. The yelled their approval of Rick Perry saying America should “go to zero on foreign aid.” They booed Juan Williams for questioning Newt’s big janitor idea . The South Carolina primary has a reputation for being a bloodbath, and last night’s rancor showed why. Just imagine if this race were in any way close.

Good Riddance: Jon Huntsman To Drop Out Of GOP Presidential Race To Support Fellow Mormon Mitt Romney

Mormons unite: Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is expected to withdraw his bid for the Republican presidential nomination and throw his support to Mitt Romney, Fox News learned Sunday. Huntsman is set to announce his withdrawal from the race Monday at 11:00 a.m. ET at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in South Carolina, at which time he will endorse his former rival. After several days of discussion with his family, friends and campaign advisers, the former Obama administration ambassador to China told aides he is ending his presidential campaign. Governor Huntsman was encouraged in New Hampshire, but does not want to stand in the way of the best candidate to beat Barack Obama and will endorse Romney, an aide for Huntsman told Fox News. South Carolina senior staffers for Huntsman say they are “stunned,” but partially relieved because they feel the state had been neglected by a lack of resources and attention. “(The) campaign never put serious resources … to promote his serious conservative record that would have beaten Obama,” Regional Southeast Political Director Adam Piper told Fox News. One down, four more to go. Source

Stephen Colbert on Mitt Romney: Possible Serial Killer!

Stephen Colbert does not want to disturb you, but the leading candidate for the Republication Presidential nomination might be a serial killer. The Comedy Central host, who is actually running in the upcoming South Carolina Primary , makes this startling accusation in a new ad from his Super PAC, one in which narrator John Lithgow follows Mitt Romney’s own line of reasoning to its logical conclusion. If corporations are people, as Romney famously said at a campaign event last year, and if Romney gutted a number of businesses during his days in the private sector, well… what other conclusion can be draw? On ABC’s This Week today, Colbert was asked by George Stephanopoulos whether he truly believes Romney is a serial killer and replied: “That’s a question he has to answer.” Watch the commercial below and decide: Does it cross a line? Or is it a perfect form of satire? Stephen Colbert Primary Ad Attacks Mitt Romney

Is Mitt “The Meatpacker” Romney Holdin’ That Pipe Work For The Ladies??? [Video]

“How big do ya think it is? Go ahead, take a wild guess” A C-SPAN caller asked one question about Mitt Romney that has not come up in the campaign thus far. New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Wayne MacDonald was taking calls about the state’s primary on Tuesday. A caller named Dan prefaced his big question by saying that he used to be an assistant to the Portsmouth city manager, and knew what a big job setting up for the election was. Then, Dan asked, “Mr. Chairman, do you believe Mitt Romney has a big p****?” The question left a stern-looking MacDonald expressionless. He didn’t say a single word for a few seconds — until he broke out in a smile and joked, “I wanna make sure I heard him right.” MacDonald also failed to answer the question. Mitt Romney Spars With Reporter After Being Called a Liar

Normally unflappable Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney got into it with The Associated Press’ Glenn Johnson today after basically being called a liar. While attempting to brand himself as a Washington outsider, Mitt enjoys strong support from the GOP establishment, as well as lobbyists, Johnson pointed out. Their exchange grew very testy after Johnson pressed Romney on whether one major lobbyist runs his campaign. Mitt insists the lobbyist is merely an “advisor.” Watch the video of the back-and-forth below: Mitt Romney Spars With Reporter
