You know how Christmas is supposed to be all about peace on earth and goodwill towards men and baked goods and all? Somehow, this lady right here didn't get the memo. Emma Tapping, a 36-year-old mother of three, apparently gets that giving back is supposed to be a big part of the holiday season, but damn, did this girl go too hard. See, Emma has three kids: a 14-year-old daughter, a 10-year-old daughter, and a little toddler-aged son. And this is what's “under” her Christmas tree this year: When she shared that absurd photo on Facebook, she wrote “Another year of hard graft, saving and planning. Another year of my family making me proud everyday.” “They deserve a great Christmas. The haters will hate but nothing and no one will change how I do Christmas.” Yes, this is just how Emma does Christmas, OK? Haters will hate, but nothing will stop her from spending $2,000 on 300 presents for three kids. Sure, it's materialistic as hell, and yeah, there are so many presents here that it honestly looks kind of tiring. Seriously, each of those poor kids has to rip into 100 presents on Christmas morning and pretend to be excited about each and every one of them. It's kind of cruel when you think about it. Deal Settles Suit Over Reality Show “Iyanla: Fix My Life” Oprah has reached a settlement with the woman who accused her of stealing her show idea and turning it into the hit OWN show. The media mogul and her accuser reached a deal last week to have all claims against her and her network dismissed and the terms of the agreement will be sealed. Back in October, a Mississippi woman named Otisa C. Strickland sued Oprah, accusing her of stealing her show idea named “The Agency.” Strickland claimed Oprah used her proposed idea and created “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” which she said was a “carbon copy” of hers. The woman said in court documents that the two shows were virtually identical and both involved a counselor that travel across the country to people’s homes to counsel them about their life problems. Strickland said Oprah had access to her show idea because she accused the TV host of stealing another show back in 2011. Strickland said the OWN show, “In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman” was a rip off of her show idea “Conflict Solutions.” The woman believed that battle put her on Oprah’s radar and allowed her to steal her idea entitled “The Agency.” “Iyanla” has been on OWN for over six seasons and has been a consistent hit for the network. Strickland’s suit demanded unspecified damages from Oprah and her network. The media mogul had yet to respond to the allegations in the complaint. Then on December 16th, a judgment of dismissal was entered in the case, stating Oprah and Strickland reached a compromise and settlement of all pending claims. Under their agreement, the case will be dismissed and all claims against Oprah and her network will be thrown out. The terms of the settlement will remain confidential.

Welp…that’s y’all’s president … Electoral College Upholds Trump Win For all those who were holding tightly to the thin glimmer of hope that members of the electoral college were going to abandon their state’s vote …we have bad news. Chester Cheeto is officially our commander-in-chief, though not for lack of effort on some of the college members. According to New York Times , a handful broke ranks from what their states decided: Presidential electors — and particularly Republican electors, who are bound by tradition and often state law to support Mr. Trump — were inundated with phone calls, emails and even threats demanding that they vote for someone else. Leaders of groups that were lobbying the electors had privately believed they had a chance to persuade enough Republican electors to defect, denying him an Electoral College majority and throwing the election to the House of Representatives. But by late Monday, only a handful of electors had broken ranks. While Mr. Trump’s opponents needed 37 Republican defectors to bring his electoral-vote tally below 270, the bulk of electors who broke ranks — four in Washington State — were Democrats who otherwise would have voted for Ms. Clinton. Instead, they voted for the former Republican secretary of state Colin L. Powell and Faith Spotted Eagle, a Native American tribal leader who has led opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline. Elsewhere, Democratic electors who sought to vote for someone besides Mrs. Clinton switched back to her under pressure or were replaced with Clinton supporters. In Texas, two Republican electors cast protest votes, one each for Ron Paul and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio. One other Republican opposed to Mr. Trump resigned and was replaced. A strategy memo by the anti-Trump forces has estimated that as many as 34 Republican electors were prepared to vote for someone besides Mr. Trump, but also said many were afraid of the consequences and suggested that a poor turnout of other anti-Trump electors would weaken their resolve. SMH! So had the additional few just manned up, we could have been rescued from an orange-tinted characature who can’t spell running the free world. It’s not as if anyone is shocked, though…

Baby Future’s Mama posted a snap of some brand new baby shoes that her hubby Russell personally designed for their new baby…but did she inadvertently reveal what brand of baby they’re expecting? The shoes are a deep blue (Daddy’s team color!) so it could indicate that this little Wilson is a boy. BUT, as we said it might just be Daddy team support. Then there’s Ciara’s choice of words. The way she phrased the shoe reveal led some to speculate that she’s carrying not just one, but TWO bundles of preciousness. Alan Thicke, a veteran actor best known and beloved for his role as the patriarch on Growing Pains, died suddenly on Tuesday afternoon. He was 69 years old. According to TMZ, Thicke was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter, when he collapsed, seemingly of a heart attack. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon and pronounced dead by doctors at that facility. The star often played hockey at a rink in Burbank, California. Sources confirm to TMZ that he and Carter were on the ice around 11 a.m. when Thicke began experiencing chest pain; he the got nauseous and vomited. The ambulance picked the actor up around a half hour later and took him to the hospital. Thicke received a 1988 Golden Globes nomination for his portraual of Jason Seaver, Growing Pains. A decade later, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy as a co-producer for the game show Pictionary. More recently, the actor – who was the father of singer Robin Thicke, along with two other kids – and his family starred on the reality show, Unusually Thicke. He also appeared as himself on This Is Us Season 1 Episode 1 . Expect plenty of celebrity condolences to pour in over the coming days and weeks, but here is what a handful of those who knew Thicke well had to say upon learning this sad news: Ellen DeGeneres : America loved Alan Thicke.
