Gerard Depardieu may have grossed many people out when he urinated on an Air France flight this week, but the French actor cracked CNN host Anderson Cooper up. Or, to be more specific, the numerous puns associated with Depardieu’s ridiculous action led to an uncontrollable laughing fit from the anchor. “Some unlucky cleaning crew had to deal with the Golden Globe-winning tinkle. All I can say is they should thank their lucky stars it wasn’t DepardTwo,” Anderson said… and then he lost it: Anderson Cooper Cracks Up
Lil Wayne and his posse were attacked with pepper spray last night in Canada, after some d!ck got the stuff into the air ducts of a Montreal club. It went down at La Mouche, where Weezy hosted an after party for his show. The ventilation system was compromised and people were evacuated. This incident sounds awfully scary and really is not a laughing matter … but it really deserves an Anne Hathaway gangsta rap synopsis, don’t you think? So far, it’s unclear if police are investigating the incident, but a rep for Lil Wayne says that the rapper is “okay and gearing for his next stop in Toronto.” You can’t faze a real thug. Represent. More information has come out regarding the suicide of Russell Armstrong, including a chilling statement he allegedly made to his mother not long before hanging himself on Monday night. In an interview on HLN, Russell’s mother, John Ann Hotchkiss, tells host Jane Velez-Mitchell that her son confided in her just a couple weeks ago. Referring to his financial difficulties and allegations of abuse against his wife – all of which would be featured this fall on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Armstrong said: Mom, they’re just going to crucify me this season… I don’t know what to do. I’ll never survive it. John Ann Hotchkiss on HLN Elsewhere: In an interview with ABC News, Ronald Richards, Armstrong’s lawyer, said the show’s focus on a lavish lifestyle plunged Armstrong into debt. “These couples join these shows, and then they keep trying to outdo each other and they end up spending all their money trying to sustain a lifestyle that’s unrealistic and wasn’t there prior to the show. The weekly social events, the dinners and all the BS, trying to pretend you have unlimited resources in Beverly Hills is tough.” As for facts/tidbits related to the tragedy, a rundown of the latest: According to the coroner, Russell was dead for at least 24 hours when his body was found. There are rumors that Russell beat Taylor Armstrong as recently as a month ago. She was supposedly hospitalized as a result. Taylor Armstrong could be responsible for her husband’s debts. Bravo will NOT air Russell’s funeral. It’s a mess at the network. What do you think should be done about season two?
I feel kinda weird posting these pictures of Jenna Jameson in the pool in a bikini…not because I think I am invading her privacy and not because she’s a classy, elegant, regal woman who is lives on the principles of Emily Post’s book on etiquette….She’s not high society, but she’s probably graced the cover of high society…a porn slut…older, retired and a mom, just enjoying a lifestyle the money her vagina’s dignity was sacrificed to afford….so if anything…I should only be really giving her any press if she was seen getting fucked on the street corner by a homeless man, or something outrageous…cuz even a “leaked sex tape” doesn’t fly with her….you know cuz we’ve all seen her fuck and fuck some more…but then the whole fact she’s in a bikini kinda makes me have no choice but to post it…but I want to make it clear…I am hardly excited by this white trash couple living a better life than me…except maybe when she gets beat up…but that’s only cuz porn chicks love being abused…it reminds them of their childhood… Here they are practicing their synchronized swimming for the next trailer park olympics they are participating in…
The two lyrical MCs fantasize about a cocoa-skinned beauty in ‘Boyz N the Hood’-inspired video. By Rob Markman Common Photo: Arnold Turner/ WireImage Ghetto dreams do come true. On Thursday, Common dropped the video for his Nas-assisted single “Ghetto Dreams” and, apparently, when the rappers go to sleep at night, it’s video actress Bria Myles who prances around their black-and-white subconscious. The Matt Alonzo-helmed visual starts with both rappers sitting on a couch nodding off while watching the 1991 classic “Boyz N the Hood” on T.V. The scene playing on the screen is the one in which Chris (played by Regi Green) tells Doughboy (Ice Cube) that church is the best place to pick up women. “I give y’all a hint,” Chris says, “Everybody’s been there.” Then the No I.D. beat drops and the dream sequence begins with Myles emerging from bed wearing a tank top and a pair of derriere-revealing gym shorts. Both MCs are now sitting on a grimy staircase, where Common begins to rap the lyrics to the first single off of his upcoming The Dreamer, The Believer album: “I want a bitch that look good and cook good.’ The chocolate-skinned beauty acts out the song’s lyrics, flipping pancakes in the kitchen, smoking a marijuana-filled joint and counting her money as Common’s verse progresses, calling out each action. “I wrote it about someone in the neighborhood that got a dream of reaching a higher level and they’re in that process,” Com recently told MTV News. “Their woman is really like the correlation and the parallel and the symbol to that progress. It was coming from me, but it was also the voice of many others.” In the video, Nas shares a similar affection for the kind of multifaceted girl Common describes in the song. As the Queens MC’s verse rolls in, he sits on the same staircase, dressed in a jacket, white shirt and tie, spitting his verse. “Had explicit experiences I shouldn’t mention/ For me, getting women turned from sport to addiction,” Nas raps, as Alonzo cuts back and forth between performance scenes and Myles applying makeup as she gets ready to attend a Sunday service — or so the viewer is led to believe. By the time the beat fades out, the dream is over. It’s at this point that the two MCs give each other a look that seems to say they realize that although they may be fantasizing over the perfect love, in the end, they’re just two dudes on a couch. Slow groove features crafty verses by Weezy and a memorable Drake refrain. By Alvin Blanco Lil Wayne recording “She Will” Photo: MTV News Jay-Z and Kanye West are not the only rap duo with clout. Lil Wayne and Drake have their own collaboration in the works, and fans just got a bit of a preview with “She Will,” the latest single from Weezy’s forthcoming Tha Carter IV. Earlier this week, Tunechi released a video, shot by DJ Scoob Doo, that showed behind-the-scenes footage of him recording “She Will” with Drake providing feedback over the phone. The final product, released on Friday (August 12), features a bass-heavy, reverb-bloated slow groove provided by producer T-Minus. The song’s title makes it seem like it’s an ode to a, er, willing woman, and indeed portions of it are. But the “How to Love” rapper/singer also drops savvy bars that don’t necessarily match the theme. “What goes around comes around like a hula hoop/ Karma is a bitch, but just make sure that bitch is beautiful/ Life on the edge, I’m dangling my feet/ I tried to pay attention but attention paid me,” raps Wayne on the first verse. Drake doesn’t drop a verse on the song but performs its chorus, part singing and part rapping, “Do it for the realest n—as in the f—ing game right now she will/ Maybe for the money and the power right now she will,” on a portion of the memorable refrain. Birdman recently told XXLMag.com that Lil Wayne and Drake’s collaboration is definitely a go, though it will have to wait until after their upcoming solo efforts. Drake’s sophomore set, Take Care, is due in stores October 24, while Weezy’s much delayed Tha Carter IV will finally be available on August 29 . The latter’s track list was also recently released, revealing featured performers including T-Pain (“How to Hate”), John Legend (“So Special”) and Bun B, Nas, Shyne and Busta Rhymes on “Outro.” Drake, along with Jadakiss, appears on another song on Tha Carter IV titled “It’s Good.” Related Artists Lil Wayne Drake
MC opens up to Mixtape Daily about rumors that G-Unit mogul has been ‘blackballing’ him because of his association with Chaz ‘Slim’ Williams. By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Rob Markman Grafh Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: Grafh Grafh just wants to spread the love. But the Jamaica, Queens, rapper’s longtime affiliation with Black Hand Entertainment has spawned rumors that he was being blackballed by 50 Cent due to the G-Unit honcho’s rift with Black Hand’s Chaz “Slim” Williams. Grafh recently left the Black Hand fold, but insisted it’s still all good between him and Williams. “We have a mutual respect for each other, we’re like family,” Grafh told Mixtape Daily of his and Chaz’s decision to separate on the business front. “It was never a thing where he don’t want to see me succeed. I have his blessing. He was like, ‘Go make your money, do what you do.’ Really, if he can’t do what I need done, then he’s like, ‘Go get it done.’ ” As for 50’s role in the mix, Chaz was the “In Da Club” rapper’s manager back when he was signed to Columbia Records. But Fif left shortly after he was infamously shot nine times in 2000. Since then, the two have not been on the friendliest of terms. “I can’t really speak on the situation too much ’cause I was young,” Grafh said. “I was around but not in they business. I know Chaz was managing 50 before he was managing me. After the shooting, when 50 got shot, I guess he felt Chaz could have stopped that maybe ’cause Chaz got a lot of power in the ‘hood. However Chaz involvement may have been, I don’t even want to speak on none of that ’cause that ain’t any of my business.” The “power” in the ‘hood that Grafh alluded to is Williams’ reputation as an OG on the streets. Williams’ former life as a bank robber was the subject of an episode of “Notorious” on the Biography channel. In 50’s street classic “Many Men,” he refers directly to what he believes is a betrayal by his ex-manager: “Slim switched sides on me, let n—as ride on me/ I thought we was cool, why you want me to die, homey?” Despite 50 and Williams falling out, Grafh insisted that the latter still has respect for 50. Grafh just hopes that their lingering issues won’t pose a problem for his own hip-hop ambitions. “All I know is Chaz’s part, and Chaz speaks very highly of that man,” Grafh insisted. “He’s a fan of [50’s] music and a fan of 50 Cent and speaks highly of his character. Whatever feelings they may have ain’t got to do with me ’cause I wasn’t around for that [conflict]. So if any blackballing is occurring, I’m like, ‘Easy, bro. Easy, Joe, just let me get my money. I ain’t got nothing to do with nothing.’ [That’s] why I don’t even want to entertain that in the interview, if there is any blackballing going on — which it feels like that ’cause every record I got, it’s shot out the goddamn sky — then pick it up, so I can eat,” the rapper said of the tendency of his records to lose steam after gaining street buzz. Grafh also told Mixtape Daily he would be down to work with 50 Cent if the opportunity presented itself. Despite any Black Hand vs. G-Unit drama, the former Epic Records artist said he is above any beef since he knows plenty of Unit members, including Lloyd Banks, having personally come up with them in Queens too. In fact, at one point, Grafh was so tired of all the blackballing rumors that he dropped in for an impromptu meeting with 50 at the mogul’s New York City offices. “The tension is thick in the room,” Grafh recalled, describing what it was like waiting in the lobby of the G-Unit offices to see whether 50 would take a meeting with him. “I see them looking out the window, they treating me like I got a bomb on me. I’m like, ‘It’s love on my side, homey. I just want to holla at the homey and let him know it’s love, and I want it to be love, if it can be.’ “They did what they supposed to do. His man came at me like, ‘What you doing up here, young?’ ” Grafh said he responded, ” ‘I just want to holla at the homey. It’s love and it’s no problem.’ If I could talk to him, I would like to ’cause he was there.” However, 50 never did accept Grafh’s offer to chat that day. “I was hoping he was going to come out and holla at me, but he didn’t,” he said. “So if you see this interview, holla at your boy.” Grafh’s EP, The Rule, features a collaboration with Joe Budden and is set to drop soon. George Young got the chance to handle bundles of S$25,000 in real cash when he hosted the upcoming Channel 5 game show “Million Dollar Money Drop”, where pairs of contestants are given S$1 million in cash up front. Their goal is to avoid losing the money as they go about answering eight multiple choice questions. What is it like to hold S$25,000 in cash in your hand? What is it like to feel the weight of the money as your fingers grasp the thick wad of bills? “It is very empowering. “But th
‘I wish I could sing sometimes, but I can’t,’ Cash Money rapper says. By Rob Markman Glasses Malone Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: Glasses Malone Life must be good on Cash Money Records. Just ask California rapper Glasses Malone who is set to drop his debut album, Beach Cruiser, on the Birdman-helmed label in August. The label’s roster boasts Baby himself, Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, and then there’s label subsidiary Young Money, which houses Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga. “Hell, yeah, it’s competitive,” Glasses said when asked about the amount of talent on the two labels. “Let’s face it, Drake is probably one of the most, if not the most talented artist right now. This dude can be into a nice verse and kick some singin’ sh–, after being into a nice verse. Not an all right verse, he’ll be into a nice verse and then start singin’ and hold a great pitch. And then you look at Nicki Minaj, it’s success stories.” G. Malone is such a fan of Drizzy’s crooning that he sometimes wishes that he himself could hold a tune, but by the same token, he is aware of his own fanbase, which looks to him for harder, street-bred material. “I wish I could sing sometimes, but I can’t, so what I try to do is keep carving my niche at this gangsta sh–,” he told Mixtape Daily. “I figure, I can’t top Drake doin’ what he’s doin’. Drake is that n—a, he got it together. Wayne is that n—a, but I could make them n—as like, ‘Man that n—a G’s sh– hard.’ And once you do that, you win.” For Glasses, Cash Money and Young Money’s talented roster ultimately fuels his drive. “I use their situation as inspiration to know that the sky’s the limit,” he said. One of the perks to having such high-profile labelmates is the potential for good features. But on Beach Cruiser, Malone refused to force the issue. He has already recorded with Birdman and Wayne for his album and a number of other Cash Money artists on various side projects. When it comes to Drake, however, Glasses would rather wait until the time and the vibe is right. “Me and Drake, we talked a couple of times. We barely finna do somethin’ now. I just couldn’t figure out a song for Drake. I don’t talk about girls,” the Watts rapper said about his and Drizzy’s respective styles. “My songs wouldn’t be the right songs. He really appreciates women. I have to find the right niche.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Artists Glasses Malone Drake
