CyHi Da Prynce Asks God For A Release Date Via ‘Text Message’

‘I’m speaking my album into existence this year,’ MC tells Mixtape Daily of The Hard Way Musical. By Jayson Rodriguez CyHi Da Prynce Photo: MTV News Don’t Sleep: Necessary Notables Mixtapes : The Allies and Royal Flush 2 Headliner : CyHi Da Prynce Key cameos : Big Sean, Pusha T, J. Cole, etc. Essential info : CyHi Da Prynce knows what his next two projects are (a pair of mixtapes), but the Georgia rapper is calling on a higher power when it comes to getting a release date for his debut album. No, he’s not calling on mentor Kanye West; rather, the “So Appalled” star is seeking an answer in the biblical sense. “At the end of April, I want to put out Royal Flush 2 and I wanna release The Allies when school is coming back in,” CyHi told Mixtape Daily. “Those two projects, I want them to be my last mixtapes that I put out before my album. I’m speaking my album into existence this year. God says, ‘If you ask, you shall receive,’ so I’m asking, and hopefully I’ll receive it sometime soon. I’m sending a pigeon or something, even a text message.” For his debut, The Hard Way Musical, the G.O.O.D. Music artist is already a few songs in. “My album is a lot of storytelling. It’s heartfelt, but at the same time it’s hip-hop to the T,” he said of the collection. ” Royal Flush is more so the different parts of me, but my album is gonna be more the story of me.” Other Heat This Week

‘I had a great time up there,’ Donna Sachet tells MTV News of opening for Brit at ‘Good Morning America’ show. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs in San Francisco on March 27 Photo: Araya Diaz/ WireImage Britney Spears had a busy weekend. She performed for her fans in San Francisco , just days after she graced the stage in Las Vegas at the Palms, where MTV was filming her for an upcoming special. At her San Francisco show, which was being taped for “Good Morning America,” Spears had five drag queens in over-the-top costumes warm up the crowd with their sassy back-and-forth. After the performance, MTV News caught up with two of the queens, who told us it was a lot of fun opening for the femme fatale. “As a huge Britney fan, it was amazing,” Pollo Del Mar told us. “I was excited just to have Britney Spears here in San Francisco, but to participate and be a part of it was amazing.” “It was a treat,” Donna Sachet added. “I had a great time up there. Five drag queens, all different types of drag, we loved it. We were complimented that Britney wanted to start with something like that.” During her set, Spears performed three tracks from Femme Fatale, out Tuesday, and Pollo gushed that the pop star did a great job. “I thought it was amazing,” Pollo said. “It shows why she’s a superstar and certainly I think that the crowd response showed that she’s beloved. … The reason I love Britney Spears is throughout her career, she’s shown she’s human, she’s fallible … I think that makes her someone people can rally behind and love.” Spears performance featured three eye-catching costumes, complete with sequins, latex and lights. “We do get ideas from her costuming and from her dancers and her energy,” Donna admitted. Fans were equally dazzled by Spears’ set. “It was amazing,” a fan named Sarah told us after the show wrapped. “It was so hot! We live here in the city, and she was sexier than ever and I’d go lesbian for her. She really blew it up.” Are you planning to buy Britney’s new album? Tell us in the comments! Chris Brown’s neighbors are complaining that the pop star is a horrible neighbor thanks to all of the loud music and constant stream of people coming in and out of his West Hollywood condo. “Chris Brown is a problematic tenant, to say the least,” a source tells RadarOnline . “He has his posse traipsing around until the late hours of the night, he’s loud and totally disrespectful of his neighbors.” The source says that Chris’ neighbors are professional-types who work during the day and need rest at night. “He’s driving the other tenants in the building crazy… It’s important to them to get some rest at night and that’s proving difficult with the noise that’s being generated.” “He just moved in around a month ago and he’s already received a warning. The tenants are just really worried – if he’s like this straight off the bat, they wonder if it’s going to get any worse.” RELATED: Chris Brown Buys $1.75 Million Condo RELATED: Chris Brown Dyes His Hair, Again! Their sassy back-and-forth was followed by Cheer SF, a cheerleading act. After the room was sufficiently warmed up, “GMA” hosts Sam Champion and Robin Roberts came onstage to introduce Spears. From a set that mirrored the one used in her Las Vegas show two nights ago, Spears kicked off with her lead single, “Hold It Against Me.” She dazzled the crowd with an engaging performance, dancing around in a stunning silver bodysuit. After the song, she smiled, telling the crowd “It’s beautiful” being in San Francisco to perform for them. After a change of clothes into a body-hugging, black bodysuit, Spears got sexy for the will.i.am collabo “Big Fat Bass.” As she shimmied to the thumping track, fans cheered along. Spears even gave a shout-out to the local gay youths who were in attendance from the Larkin Street homeless shelter and the LYRIC center for LGBT youth. “They’re in the front row; thanks for coming.” Between songs, Roberts and Champion taped intros and the former teased a top-secret announcement Britney is set to make on Tuesday when the show airs. Keri Hilson’s Sexy New Video With Chris Brown Debuts

In the ‘One Night Stand’ clip, the two singers have a steamy encounter and trade dance moves in an industrial garage. By Jayson Rodriguez Keri Hilson Photo: Jason LaVeris/ WireImage Keri Hilson needed a fix in her “One Night Stand” video and Chris Brown was eager to be her mechanic. The blond-haired singers exchange steamy glances in the Collin Tilly-directed clip and, after finding each other, they join forces — Neo and Trinity style — for a dancing breakdown. The video begins with Hilson lying down and Brown on top of her as the F.A.M.E. star caressing her and they clasp hands. The camera then quickly cuts to images of Hilson straddling her younger co-star. As the song’s first verse starts, however, the pair are in separate scenes: Hilson, sporting a black fur coat, is standing in the middle of a dark and smoky street, while Brown, in overalls and a tank top, is underneath a car in an auto garage. “Tell me how you like it, baby/ Do you want it fast or slow?” Hilson sings. “I’ll give it to you all night,” Brown chimes in with an ad-lib. Midway through the clip, the two intertwine at an industrial warehouse in matching black outfits and sunglasses. “You should stay another night with me,” they both sing. “A one night stand is all I need.” A tag-team dance then ensues. After both singers pirouette and dip and dive, Brown towers over Hilson and swings his arms over her as she ducks. She then raises up and swings her arms over Brown, who leans back to avoid Hilson’s movements in slowed-down “bullet time” action. The “Pretty Girl Rock” star has always been an ardent Brown supporter . This past December, three months before the “Good Morning America” incident , Hilson told MTV News that the embattled singer had matured since his controversial altercation with Rihanna in 2009. “People are already putting [Brown] back in their good graces, ’cause they see his remorse,” Hilson said. “And I know people are saying, ‘Is he really a man? You have him on your album.’ I mean, yeah. To me, a man is someone, you don’t go backwards in life. You learn from your mistakes, and you don’t do it again. You show remorse, and you move on. You move forward onto bigger and better things. That’s a man trait.” What do you think of Hilson’s sexy new video with Brown? Share your opinions in the comments.

Simon Cowell Addresses Nicki Minaj ‘X Factor’ Judging Rumors

Cowell admits that the ‘X Factor’ job was one of ‘a lot of projects’ he discussed recently with the MC. By James Dinh Simon Cowell Photo: Dave Hogan/ Getty Images From Taylor Momsen to Enrique Iglesias, the list of rumored judges slated to join Simon Cowell on his upcoming Stateside version of “X Factor” keeps growing. Among the latest speculated additions to the TV singing competition’s coveted panel, which already includes music executive L.A. Reid, is Nicki Minaj . Speaking with XXLMag.com , Cowell addressed whispers that he met with hip-hop’s Harajuku Barbie about the reality show. While confirming that he did talk with Minaj, Cowell insisted that the duo spoke about a range of career ventures. “We spoke to Nicki actually about a lot of projects,” the British music mogul admitted. “It wasn’t specifically about this, but we were just very interested to meet her. I’m a big fan of hers. So I don’t know if it’s gonna be this show or something in the future, but it was definitely somebody I wanted to meet.” As for why the former “American Idol” judge was so persistent on a meeting with the Young Money MC, Cowell pointed to Minaj’s meteoric rise to success. “Off her own back she’s had a phenomenal year last year and she’s gonna have a phenomenal year this year,” he explained. “She’s very smart, very influential, very bright and along with artists like Jessie J. You can’t ignore them and sooner or later they have to be in our world and we have to be in their world.” Whether or not Minaj will make an appearance on “X Factor,” the talent aficionado said he is currently in talks with another hip-hop heavyweight about joining the forthcoming show, which debuts in September. Audition dates for the program begin on Sunday and continue on until late May. Cowell recently spoke to MTV News about what he’s looking for in an “X Factor” contestant. “I love unusual people. I always say, you’ve got to embrace the madness,” Cowell said with a laugh. “I like that we’re going to be very open-minded. I think we’re going to have good enough people on this panel that we’re not gonna miss out on anyone who’s got potential.” Do you think Nicki Minaj would make a good “X Factor” judge? The “Hold It Against Me” singer took to her Twitter on Friday afternoon (March 25) to announce a performance at Rain nightclub at Las Vegas’ Palms Casino and Resort scheduled for later this evening. “Looks like my little secret isnt a secret anymore. Whos coming to watch me take the stage TONIGHT at @RainLasVegas at @PalmsLasVegas?” the pop star tweeted. “You’re all invited. Be there or be square bitch!” The curtain was pulled back on the Vegas performance earlier this week when OnSetProductions.com posted a notice scouting for fans to be part of the event, which will be filmed by MTV. “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D will also be on hand throughout the evening. Britney is no stranger to the Rain stage. On the day of her album release, she will also appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for a late-night performance of her two latest singles: “Till the World Ends” and “Hold It Against Me.” In addition to her concert specials, MTV will dedicate March 29 to the singer for what is being dubbed a “Britney Takeover” day. Chris Brown Parts Ways With Rep After ‘Good Morning America’ Incident

Tammy Brook reportedly left singer’s camp on Friday. By James Montgomery Chris Brown appears on “Good Morning America” on Monday Photo: ABC News The fallout from Chris Brown’s post-“Good Morning America” outburst continued on Friday (March 25), when The New York Post ‘s Page Six reported that the singer has parted ways with his publicist, Tammy Brook. Brook, who also reps athletes like Mike Tyson and Chris Bosh, could not be reached for comment by the newspaper, but according to other reports , she “quit” the job. A source tells MTV News that the decision was mutual, but regardless, the news caps off a tumultuous week for Brown, who allegedly smashed a window at ABC’s Times Square studios following his interview with Robin Roberts, in which she repeatedly brought up his 2009 assault on then girlfriend Rihanna and the subsequent legal drama that followed. Brown then reacted to the interview in a (since deleted) tweet that read, “I’m so over people bringing this past sh– up!!! Yet we praise Charlie Sheen and other celebs for [their] bullsh–.” That interview occurred on Tuesday, the same day Brown dropped his F.A.M.E. album, and hours before he was set to appear on MTV’s “The Seven” to premiere his brand-new video for the single “Beautiful People,” an appearance he subsequently canceled. Later that night, at his album release party, Brown was reportedly in great spirits . He has also apologized for the “GMA” incident , saying on BET’s “106 & Park” that he was “disappointed in the way [he] acted.” All that drama hasn’t affected his album sales, though. According to Billboard, Brown’s F.A.M.E. album is set to debut atop the albums chart next week, with projected sales of 250,000-300,000 copies.
