Donald Sterling Racism Prompts Companies to Yank Clippers Sponsorship

In the wake of Donald Sterling’s horribly offensive comments about minorities, a number of high-profile companies have pulled their sponsorship of his professional basketball team. Red Bull, State Farm, CarMax, AQUAhydrate, Kia and Virgin America all announced today that they are at the very least suspending all affiliation with the Los Angeles Clippers. These views directly conflict with CarMax’s culture of respect for all individuals. While we have been a proud Clippers sponsor for 9 years and support the team, fans and community, these statements necessitate that CarMax end its sponsorship.” A number of celebrities have also spoken out against Sterling.
