Keith Wilder Dead At Age 65 Keith Wilder, the lead singer of 70’s funk band Heatwave, passed away on Sunday . He was 65 years old. While no specific cause of death has been disclosed, Wilder’s cousin and bandmate Billy Jones told Dayton.com that he had been suffering from health problems and died peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his mother Lucille, his wife, Linda, three brothers and four children. Wilder’s voice is likely most recognizable from Heatwave’s 1977 ballad “Always and Forever.” Rest in peace, Keith. Getty
Jenelle Evans made herself look pretty darn bad at the taping of the Teen Mom 2 reunion special last weekend. At this point, we're starting to wonder if she has any real idea about how to make herself look good. Girl has always been a train wreck, but she got trashy last weekend in a way that she hadn't for a very long time. By all accounts (except her own), she lost it when she saw her mother hugging Nathan Griffith's new girlfriend, Ashley Landhardt, and things went downhill from there . She yelled at both Nathan and Ashley, then she yelled at her mother, and worst of all, this all happened in front of the children in the cast. So really, it's no wonder that pretty much everyone on the show is bashing her right now. Check out all the many, many ways her fellow Teen Mom stars are throwing shade her way below … 1. The Victim Herself How could you be mad at a face like this?! Well, let literally all of her co-workers explain it to you … 2. The A Team Even before Jenelle had her meltdown, the cast had split into cliques. Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry stuck together … 3. The B Team … While Jenelle got friendly with the new girl, Briana DeJesus. Briana actually referred to Jenelle as “the only person who kept it real” at the reunion. 4. Oh, The Shade of It All! Chelsea shared this picture with her girls, and she added the caption “Filming reunions be like ….” Get it, because Jenelle and David ruined everything? 5. Leave Me Alone! In a tweet from Jenelle’s rep (or Jenelle herself — most people think she runs her own PR account), Kailyn, Chelsea, Leah, Nathan, Nathan’s girlfriend, and Cole DeBoer were all accused of leaking information about Jenelle’s drama to tabloids. Kailyn wasn’t having it though, responding to the accusation with “I wasn’t even there… why am I being brought into it?” 6. Not Having It Chelsea also addressed the rumor that she and Cole sold Jenelle’s story to the tabloids. She said that the thought of Cole reaching out to a tabloid makes her “giggle,” because seriously, who could even imagine that? It’s only been six weeks since Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell got married , but already, the newlyweds find themselves at the center of a controversy. The latest Duggar mini-scandal has nothing to do with the Joe and Kendra’s actions since saying “I do,” however. Instead, it seems fans are irate about something that took place before their massive wedding. TLC recently uploaded a video taken just days before Joseph and Kendra exchanged vows. The footage shows the young couple enjoying a picnic and discussing their plans for married life. “I think it’s gonna be exciting to move into our first house together,” Kendra says at one point. “And doing some of the ministry stuff again … Doing the singing and the outreach. It’ll be great to get back.” Kendra adds: “I think I’m also looking forward to getting back into a normal schedule. Maybe cook some meals together.” For his part, Joe says simply: “I’m looking forward to making more memories like this with you.” So what’s so controversial about that? Well, nothing really, but the outing appears to differ from Joe and Kendra’s other dates in one significant way: In the past, Joseph and Kendra’s dates were chaperoned by members of his massive family. In fact, the Duggars proved the lengths Joe and Kendra went to to safeguard their own chastity by posting footage of a rollerblading date on which the pair was kept in line by the presence of Joe’s younger brothers. (Fact: no rollerblading date has ever resulted in sex.) Fans believe the pre-wedding picnic presented in the new clip shows Joe and Kendra on an un-chaperoned date, which would put them in violation of the Duggar rules of courtship. (No, camera crews don’t count as chaperones according to the Duggar Code of Conduct.) Naturally, critics have been quick to attack the young couple for their alleged hypocrisy. But we’ve gone full Zapruder film with this footage, and after hours of painstaking frame-by-frame investigation, we now believe Joe and Kendra are being unfairly criticized. In the first several seconds of the video, an unidentified third party can be seen following close behind Joe and Kendra. We don’t know who it is, but it’s worth noting that woman is dressed according to the Duggar rules regarding female attire. Is it one of Joe’s sisters? A trusted family friend, perhaps? We don’t know, but we’re guessing it’s safe to assume Joe and Kendra didn’t give into their biological urges right there in front of the cameras. On Sunday, October 1st, Heidi Montag gave birth to her and Spencer Pratt’s first child — a precious baby boy. The first photos of baby Gunner Pratt are slowly trickling in, but the proud parents have shared a brand new photo. Heidi has now joined the ranks of actresses who are sharing breastfeeding photos. During they heyday of The Hills , the very idea of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt becoming parents would have given us nightmares. After the two of them managed to burn through their $10 million fortune in a frighteningly short amount of time, the thought of them becoming responsible for a tiny human being would have caused us to slip into a coma. But this pair of D-listers have come a long, long way since then. Don’t get us wrong — they’re still, uh, “eccentric.” Their feud with Lauren Conrad still seems to be going strong. And yes, Spencer Pratt still loves crystals. But they’ve clearly made strides towards what is at the very least a strong resemblance to personhood since The Hills was a thing. Which is good, because baby Gunner is here! Awwwww! This is great, first of all, because it’s a precious photo of all three members of this small but growing family. But it’s also wonderful because every photo that celebs share of themselves breastfeeding helps to normalize breastfeeding for millions of women. We don’t know how many instances there have been of women being asked to leave or to breastfeed their babies in often filthy public restrooms. ( No one should have to eat lunch in a bathroom, folks) The worst cases are when women in art museums are asked this, since they’re often surrounded by paintings and sculptures of bare breasts but aren’t being allowed to feed their infants. The #FreeTheNipple movement isn’t just about toplessness for toplessness’ sake, though that’s a worthy cause in and of itself. It’s also just about making society less uptight about breasts and their accompanying nip nops. In her own way, Heidi Montag is helping make the world a better place. Every drop in the bucket contributes to the inevitable cultural shift. Precious baby Gunner deserves the best, right? Fortunately, Spencer and Heidi have done more than just grow with age and life experience. Heidi rekindled her relationship with her formerly estranged mother, Darlene Egelhoff. Previously, Heidi had gotten what the medical community refers to as a “horrifying f–kton” of cosmetic surgery, distorting her features into a twisted caricature of humanity and spending a ludicrous amount of money in the process. At the time, Heidi’s mother had expressed concerns. Like the rest of America. Heidi hadn’t liked that, so she and her mother were on bad terms for years. But they both agreed to appear on The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition . The whole purpose of which is to orchestrate reconciliations between mothers and daughters. In some cases, it didn’t work out so well. In some cases, it shouldn’t work out. But in the case of Heidi Montag and her mother, they were actually able to reconnect and soothe some old wounds. In fact, Heidi Montag flaunted her 6-month baby bump while hiking with Spencer and with her mother. The more family that they’re close to, the bigger their support network. Family isn’t the only support network that they’ve set up for their baby, of course. Jen Bunney is Gunner’s godmother , which is not surprising but makes for an amazing The Hills callback, but she’s apparently not his only godparent. We don’t have the complete list or anything, but that’s interesting to know. And comforting. The whole idea is that they would assume responsibility for Gunner if, heavens forbid, anything should happen to Heidi and Spencer. But hopefully the Pratts’ extensive, expensive collection of crystals will bring them all of the good vibes or good luck or whatever that they need so that they can always be there for little Gunner.
Sometimes, when it comes to Jenelle Evans, all you can do is just sigh, shake your head, and go “Oh, honey …” This is one of those times. In the current season of Teen Mom 2, we've been seeing Jenelle's relationship with her mother, Barbara, worsen as they get closer and closer to their big court date. A few years ago, Jenelle decided to stop doing heroin and start trying to be a mother, and ever since then, she and Barbara have been going to court to figure something out with the custody of poor Jace . After a bit of rescheduling — and after their lawyers managed to push back the final court date a few times — they finally settled the custody deal in May. We already know what happened, but in the world of Teen Mom 2, the big day is just a few weeks away. And things have been super, super tense. In last week's episode, we saw Jenelle show up at a restaurant where Barbara was trying to have dinner with friends and harass her until she felt she had to leave. She accused Barbara of being drunk , which obviously wasn't true, and then of driving drunk with Jace and a couple of other kids in the car. When her mom got sick of the accusations and left, Jenelle went to her house and banged on the doors and windows for two hours, then called the police. When she told this story, she seemed to think that she was in the right , and she and her fiancé, David Eason, insisted that the scene they'd made had ensured that Jenelle would get custody of Jace at their court date. It was really, really bizarre, and that theme continues in this sneak peek of the upcoming episode. In this clip, Jenelle and David are having a little chat about Barbara. The issue is that it's Mother's Day weekend, and Jenelle wants to spend the holiday with Jace — but Barbara won't respond to her phone calls. Which makes sense, considering what had just happened between them. “You know, it really upsets me that Jace isn't here,” she told David. “And all the other kids are here. You know, Maryssa's spending Mother's Day with her mom.” “Everyone's with their mom, but not my son.” Meanwhile, Jenelle's other son, Kaiser is playing unsupervised in another room, but he's apparently not who she's referring to here. “It's your mom's fault,” David remarks. “What a great mother.” Does anyone else think it's weird that David is commenting on someone else's parenting when he's facing jail time because he violated a restraining order in place against him for his own son? But yeah, sure, let's bash Barbara. David theorizes that Babs isn't letting Jenelle see Jace because of what happened at that restaurant, because she's “scared” that they're going to get more evidence against her for the custody case. He also says that Barbara “knows that she's probably gonna lose Jace,” so she's trying to get in a bunch of time with him before the hearing. Meanwhile, Jenelle says that they need to come up with a deal in court where “it has to be set in stone that she cannot hold Jace from me, and if she does, she gets contempt of court and goes to jail.” OK, so a few things here. One, obviously Barbara doesn't want Jace to go to Jenelle's for Mother's Day. She's the one who raised him, she's the one who parents him — she may not be his biological mother, but in all other ways, she is his mom. Two, shut up, David. Three, If Barbara has full custody of Jace and there's no visitation schedule in place — which is the case for this scene — she can hold him from whoever she wants. After years and years of watching Teen Mom 2, we all know quite a bit about Jenelle Evans, don't we? For instance, we know that she's one of those people who tend to create their own version of events , reality be damned. You can see several examples of this in her new book — remember how she claimed that her mother tricked her into giving up custody of her oldest son, Jace, even though she was the best mom ever? Meanwhile, we all remember seeing how it really played out in early seasons of the show, and we definitely remember her willingly signing over custody to the long-suffering Barbara Evans. Still, Jenelle insists on trying to paint herself in a positive light, even if she doesn't deserve it. And if you still don't know what we're talking about, then just check out this truly bizarre deleted scene from this week's episode of Teen Mom 2 . As you may remember from the episode, Jace has been acting out recently — so much that he threw a toy at Barbara and bruised her face. Jenelle and Babs talked about getting him into therapy, which seems like a good idea. The poor kid has been through a lot in his eight years. But in this clip, Teen Mom's hottest mess reveals some additional details about the situation. Things start off with Jenelle and her fiancé, David Eason, having a little chat in a restaurant while baby Ensley sleeps soundly in her car seat. They talk about taking some photos with all the kids this weekend, and she mentions that she's excited for Jace to meet Ensley for the first time. Then she tells him that “He freaked out a school and he threw something at my mom, and like busted her nose.” “And she, like, doesn't understand why he's freaking out, and she calls me and says 'Oh, he's being bad' and everything.” “And then I'm like 'Well, I got my hands tied, what do you want me to do? I'm not there to discipline him and you don't let me have him , so …'” She says that Barbara has been telling Jace's teachers that she doesn't know why he's “freaking out,” and that “I feel bad for him because it's like no one knows the truth and they're believing my mom.” If you're wondering what the hell she's talking about, you're not alone. But hang on, she gets to her point real quick … “I know the truth,” she tells David. “I know why he's freaking out. He's freaking out because he wants to live here. And that's why he's being bad.” … Really, Jenelle? That's why Jace is acting out and being violent, because he wants to live with you? She says that she hopes Jace isn't mad at her because he still doesn't live with her, and that “I want Jace to come live with me so bad, he doesn't even know the truth.” What truth?! The clip ends with Jenelle telling David that she's “trying everything in my power” to get Jace back. It's just so bizarre that she thinks that her son is behaving the way he is because he wants to live with her … like is that really the scenario that makes the most sense? Maybe he's reacting to the years and years of seeing Jenelle scream and yell at Barbara — maybe she's never shown her respect, and he's learning that. Or maybe he's starting to realize how unstable his childhood has been, especially since his mother just had another baby when she still doesn't have custody of him. There are a lot of reasons why poor Jace could be acting out, but a desperation to live with Jenelle doesn't seem super likely. Watch the odd scene below:
