It’s safe to say Gregg Williams will never coach in the NFL ever again. As you can hear in the video above, Williams encourages his players to “kill the head” and “the body will die.” Referring to San Francisco running back Frank Gore, Williams tells his charges: “We’ve got to do everything in the world to make sure we kill Frank Gore’s head. We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways.” At other points, he screams at the Saints to take out receiver Michael Crabtree’s ACL and to focus on receiver Kyle Williams’ head because he has a history of concussions. The speech was recorded and released by documentary filmmaker Sean Pamphilon, who was filming in the locker room for a special he plans to produce on Saints special-teams player Steve Gleason, who is battling ALS.
The producers of Bully and the Motion Picture Association of America agreed on a unique compromise to re-release the controversial documentary film as PG-13. The Weinstein Co., in response to its initial R ratingby the MPAA, made the unusual move of releasing the film in limited release without a rating at all. That gave each individual theater owner the decision whether to show the film or not, and potentially limited the scope of its release – all on principle. Bully Trailer Bully’s producers appealed the R rating and lost earlier this year in a move that could’ve derailed its effort to highlight the epidemic of adolescent bullying. The new version of the film deletes some obscenities, but in an interesting move, keeps a controversial scene on a bus in which the ‘F-bomb’ is lobbed. Three times at a bullied child, in fact. This is a major exception to MPAA rules; the group typically imposes an R rating on any film with more than two.
It has come to this for “unaccompanied” teenagers desperate to see the unrated Bully : “An AMC spokesman said it will indeed allow that, but only if the child presents a signed permission slip from a parent, either via a form letter made available by the theater or an improvised note on a standard piece of paper. By Jocelyn Vena Emma Stone Photo: Fotonoticias/Getty Images Emma Stone is ready to ride in a “Little White Corvette” in her next flick. “The Help” star is attached to the comedy, for which she’ll reportedly make $1 million up-front, Deadline reports. The story, which returns the actress to her funny-lady roots, follows two siblings who find cocaine in their dead father’s old Corvette. They attempt to cash in on the million-dollar bundle when they head down to Miami to sell it off. The part of her sibling has yet to be cast. Stone has been interested in the project, for which she will also serve as executive producer, since mid-2011. Production is scheduled to begin this summer. Until then, comic book fans everywhere are looking forward to seeing her take on Gwen Stacy in “The Amazing Spider-Man” ; she’ll also reconnect with her “Crazy, Stupid, Love” co-star Ryan Gosling in the period drama “Gangster Squad.” Both films are out later this year, and both are fighting it out in the MTV Movie Brawl 2012 . As awards season rages on, Stone’s breakout film, “The Help,” continues to generate buzz. The movie and its stars are up for five awards at the Golden Globes on January 15, including Best Motion Picture – Drama; Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for Viola Davis; Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for both Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer; and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for Mary J.
