The famous couple spent Thanksgiving apart and are rumored to have spent over a month living in different countries so that Kanye could work on his new album. But if the “Babe, I gotta work!” excuse was just part of Kanye’s ruse to secure some alone time, then the jig is officially up, because TMZ is reporting that Kim plans to build a massive, fully-functional recording studio on her newly-acquired property. Naturally, five acres leaves room for more than just a studio, and Kim reportedly plans to fully utilize every inch of the new space with with a movie theater, game room, basketball court, spa, and mini-theme park for North and any future children. Despite rumors that Kanye West would be returning to Los Angeles to spend the holidays with his wife, daughter, and new in-laws, it looks as though the rapper forced Kim Kardashian to choose between her husband and the rest of her family. It was initially reported that Kim and Kanye would be spending Christmas apart , as the rapper seemed reluctant to return to the States, and was in working on his album in Paris as recently as yesterday. But last night Kanye touched down at LAX, he and Kim bought extravagant presents for North West and it looked as though he’d be spending the holiday with the Kardashian-Jenner clan. Now, however, insiders are claiming that Yeezus convinced Kim that Paris is the place to spend the holidays, and now the Wests are headed east…much to the chagrin of Kris Jenner. “Kanye was adamant that Kim and North spend the Christmas holiday together with him, away from all the holiday insanity of the Kardashians,” a source tells Radar Online. “The last thing Kanye wants to do is spend the holiday with Kim’s entire family.” Rumor has it, the entire family already ditched Kris on Thanksgiving , and the notoriously hard-headed momager was hoping they’d make it up to her on Christmas. But now that her divorce with Bruce Jenner is finalized , Kris may find herself spending another holiday at home. If you caught Season 3 Episode 7 of Vanderpump Rules last night, then you know that the SUR staff welcomed a new member to its STD-riddled ranks. 32-year-old Boston native Vail Bloom interviewed with Lisa V. for a hostess job (and a regular spot on the hit Bravo series), but quickly revealed herself to be far more than just your typical SUR girl. Not only is Vail a Princeton grad and a recovering addict, she’s also a former soap star who was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her work on The Young and the Restless. Bloom has also appeared on the HBO series Entourage and Hello Ladies, and she took the number three spot in one of Maxim magazine’s annual Hometown Hotties contests. Needless to say, she’s doing a bit better than the average SUR staffer, and considerably better than other season three newcomer, James Kennedy . (Dude’s a busser and he dates Kristen. Need we say more?) Naturally, Vail’s impressive resume begs the question: what the hell is she doing hostessing at SUR?! Well, for one thing, Vail describes herself as a “struggling actress” (not all soap gigs bring huge paychecks) and though she hasn’t gone into detail regarding her struggles with addiction, she did clarify that she was hooked on “harder stuff” than alcohol. And, of course, she was late for her second day on the job, so gigs where other people don’t apply your makeup and explain your “motivation” might not be Vail’s strong suit. But obviously, the real reason Vail took a job at a West Hollywood eatery is because SUR=exposure, and – if you stick around long enough – it can mean some serious cash. The Vanderpump Rules cast just got a huge raise (after two seasons of working for peanuts), and we imagine a recurring role on a high-rated TV show (even a reality show) can’t be bad for Vail’s public profile.
