Gangster Squad Trailer: Pulled from Theaters in Face of Dark Knight Rises Massacre

In the wake of today’s horrific Dark Knight Rises shooting in Colorado, Warner Bros. has chosen to pull the trailer for another movie out of theaters. The preview for Gangster Squad , which has been online since May and is posted below, was NOT played prior to this morning’s Batman feature and has NOT been attached to most of The Dark Knight Rises screenings around the country. Still, one scene does depict mobsters opening fire inside a movie theater and, with the spot scheduled to start running nationwide this weekend, the studio thought it was inappropriate to air at such a time.

Or in the life of Eric Packer, we should say, the billionaire assets manager played by Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis , David Cronenberg’s upcoming drama that stars the Twilight Saga stud as you’ve never seen him before? Like previous Cosmopolis trailers , this new preview follows around the character during a dark, chaotic limo ride, one that is based on a wager Packer makes and which takes him in a number of unusual directions. Cosmopolis also stars Jay Baruchel, Juliette Binoche and Paul Giamatti and comes out in limited release on August 17.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Preview: Born to Be a Vampire

Edward Cullen turns 111 years young today and in honor of the occasion, the folks behind The Twilight Saga have released a new full-length Breaking Dawn Part 2 trailer . This one expands significantly on yesterday’s quick tease , giving us glimpses at Bella as a vampire and her pressing need to protect daughter Renesmee, who is targeted by the Volturi in the final installment of this epic franchise. There sure are a lot of red eyes throughout the preview, as noted by Jacob, as it all builds to one climactic battle between blood suckers around the world. In an official new clip from Magic Mike, Matthew McConaughey introduces Channing Tatum, Matthew Bomer, Alex Pettyfer and his whole crew for a routine. A stripper routine. This is a film about male strippers. Maybe you’ve heard. In the sneak peek below, Channing and his Magic Mike cohorts dance their clothes off to the popular song “It’s Raining Men” as the ladies go berzerk. The new trailer House at the End of the Street has been released. The Hunger Games ‘ Jennifer Lawrence stars in the horror-thriller, which looks like plenty of both, along with Elisabeth Shue, Max Thieriot and Gil Bellows. The basic premise: Seeking a fresh start, Sarah (Shue) and her daughter Elissa (Lawrence) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. The Great Gatsby Trailer: Leonardo DiCaprio Takes on a Classic

The first trailer for The Great Gatsby has been released, showcasing Leonardo DiCaprio as the title character in the latest adaptation of the classic novel. Baz Luhrmann’s 3D take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book (yes, it’s in 3D) makes the ’20s period film even more of a visual marvel than one would expect. Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher also star in The Great Gatsby . The bad news? The flick opens nationwide on December 25. The good news? Skyfall Trailer: James Bond Returns For Explosive 23rd Movie

The first trailer for James Bond’s 23rd movie has just been released, with Daniel Craig looking badass as ever as the legendary secret Agent 007. Skyfall, due in U.S. theaters November 9, also stars Javier Bardem and French actress Berenice Marlohe as the newest Bond Girl, named Severine. In the 90-second clip below, which is technically a teaser for the full-length theatrical trailer to come, Bond is seen in explosive, international glory: Skyfall Trailer (Teaser) In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Dame Judi Dench, in what may be her final role in a James Bond film) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. “As MI6 comes under attack,” says an official release for the film, “Bond must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.” The production and release of Skyfall had been placed on hold when its studio, MGM, encountered financing problems, but is now a go for November.
