Logan Paul Plans to "Go Gay" for a Month, Is the Literal Worst

For Logan Paul, mocking victims of suicide was apparently not evil enough of an act. The pathetic YouTube star has now decided he has to go ahead and make fun of the LGBT lifestyle as well. On Wednesday, Paul and co-host Mike Majlak recorded an episode of their podcast “Impaulsive,” during which they discussed unique changes they had been making for just a few weeks at a time. “So our New Year’s resolution … we’re vegan now, and we’re sober?” Paul began. “Just for the month,” Majlak assured him. The two total idiots men said they plan to test out a new resolution each month, with January being “Sober Vegan January” and February being “Fatal February” (“steaks, big bottles of Tito’s and sh-t, just wilin’ out,” of course). As for March? “What is it, Male-Only March?” Paul said. “We’re gonna attempt to go gay for just one month.” We’re sorry, but … EXCUSE YOU?!? “For one month, and then swing … and then go back,” Majlak added. The hosts are seemingly unaware of just how insensitive and flat-out ridiculous this notion is: To simply try out a lifestyle, as if it’s a game or social experiment and not a serious issue for those who live through it everyday and continue to be discriminated against. Thankfully, Twitters users wasted no time at all in lashing out against Paul. “So Logal [sic] Paul is ‘going Gay’ for a month? “This idiots [sic] acting like our sexuality is some sort of monthly subscription! Hope he knows once you subscribe you can’t unsubscribe,” one listener tweeted, while another concurred: “He’s not exploring his sexuality. “He’s mocking gay men and using the lgbt community as a publicity stunt for views, and on top of that, is promoting the false belief that being gay is a choice to his young and impressionable audience.” YouTube personality Donny Winter also weighed in as follows: “Looks like #LoganPaul is going gay for a month. Because a person can just flip a switch and be gay/straight whenever they want. “You’d think you’d learn from your past antics, Logan. Video coming.” About a year ago at this time, Paul also came under fire for filming the body of a man hanging from a tree in what has been dubbed the “suicide forest” of Japan. This is a location near the base of Mt. Fuji. In the since-deleted footage, Paul and his friends laughed, spoke in “funny” voices and repeatedly zoomed in on the corpse. Yes, the frickin corpse . He apologized for the controversy shortly afterward, though most doubted his sincerity. “Where do I begin . . . Let’s start with this — I’m sorry,” he said, adding at the time: “This is a first for me. I’ve never faced criticism like this before, because I’ve never made a mistake like this before. I’m surrounded by good people and believe I make good decisions, but I’m still a human being. “I can be wrong.” And now Paul sort of admits he’s wrong again.  “very poor choice of words… my fault,” he Tweeted in response to the “gonna go gay” scandal, concluding by hyping his podcast: “let’s get together and talk about it on my podcast next week?” We’re gonna go ahead and give you a hard no on that one, Logan. Call us when you understand that an apology doesn’t really count when you use it as a means of self-promotion. Actually, we take that back: Never, ever call us.

David Eason: Did He Threaten to KILL Javi Marroquin?!

We know, we know … another day, another story about David Eason being a terrible human being. But it's just that he's so bad, you know? Sure, it might be fun to go a few days without talking about this jackass, but he keeps on doing and saying all these awful things. Are we just supposed to ignore it?! We could, obviously, but it's healthy to discuss your feelings, and boy, do we have a whole mess of feelings when it comes to David. So let's just get them all out, OK? 1. Not Good David has a bad temper, an obsession with fame, and just so many guns. 2. Scary If that’s not a recipe for disaster, then what is? 3. The Red Flags Keep Flying We don’t have time to go through each and everything scary thing this guy has ever done, but trust us, it’s a lot. 4. Please, No His ex claimed that he was violent with her and threatened to kill her when she was pregnant with their son, and Jenelle claimed in a heartbreaking 911 call that he’d abused her, too. 5. Poor Kaiser Nathan Griffith and his mother are convinced that he abuses adorable little Kaiser, too. 6. Poor Everyone He’s also gone after Jenelle’s fellow Teen Mom 2 cast members — he especially has a thing for Kailyn. View Slideshow

Jo Andres, Wife of Steve Buscemi, Dead at 65

Jo Andres, the director of the 1996 festival circuit hit Black Kites and wife of over 31 years to actor Steve Buscemi, has died from causes unknown. She was 65 years old. The award-winning actor – known for his roles on Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, Fargo and The Big Lebowski – married Andres in 1987. They welcomed one child together, a son named Lucian, in 1990. No date of death has been disclosed, but a memorial service reportedly was held last Tuesday at the couple’s home in Brooklyn. The sad news has only just gone public now. Andres, who posed on the red carpet with Buscemi seven months ago, rose to prominence within the 1980s art world through what is described on her website as “film/dance/light performances.” She made her directorial debut with the aforementioned Black Kites. Black Kites is a 26-minute short film based on the 1992 journals and drawing of Sarajevan visual artist Alma Hajric. It was was written and directed by Andres and it starred Mimi Goese and Buscemi. Lucian Buscemi, the then-six-year-old son of the actor and Andres, also appeared in the movie. According to Andres’ website, she worked at various times as an artist in residence at numerous universities, museums and art colonies; including Yaddo and The Rockefeller Study Center in Bellagio, Italy. Andres’ other big screen resume includes the 2012 short Liquid Tara, along with videos of her performance pieces. She directed the 2013 music video When The Curtain Comes Down for Diana Krall, which featured Buscemi and which was played during the singer-pianist’s international tour. In a 2009 Q&A with The Independent, Buscemi said his favorite work of art is “something by my wife Jo Andres. She paints, she makes films, she has done performance.” “Condolences to Steve Buscemi and loved ones on his loss,” tweeted actor James Woods on Saturday, adding: “This fine family was so supportive of first responders during 9/11 tragedy.” Our thoughts go out to Andres’ friends, family members and loved ones at this time. May she rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam

For The Ladies: Michael B. Jordan Answers Some Seriously Juicy Questions…But There’s A Catch [Video]

Source: NBC / Getty Michael B. Jordan Keeps Us All Guessing With This Game Michael B. Jordan stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday night, and luckily for us, he had time for a game following his couch interview. Usually when it comes to press runs, stars answer the same questions over and over again about their movie and some other not-so-intimate details about their personal life. This isn’t surprising, because celebs don’t want us to know everything about their off-screen personas–but Jimmy Fallon has a solution for that. In the game Pour It Out, Jimmy and Michael take turns reading questions to themselves, then stating the answer out loud. If they don’t want to reveal was the question is, they have to take a shot–but really, we all just know the question. Michael’s answer to one of these questions is “Tessa Thompson”…but we will ever know what the question actually was?! Continue reading

Youngest In Charge: Marsai Martin Talks Executive Producing And Starring In ‘LITTLE’ At Only 14-Years-Old!

Source: Eli Joshua Adé/ Universal Pictures / Eli Joshua Adé/ Universal Pictures Marsai Martin Talks Producing And Starring In Upcoming Universal Pictures Film ‘Little’ If you’ve already seen the trailer for the new film ‘Little’ which was released today you probably have a good idea of just how incredible leading lady Marsai Martin is — but BOSSIP had the opportunity to go on set with the actress — who at only 14 is also EXECUTIVE PRODUCING the film along with her father Josh Martin and Regina Hall. It turns out that Martin came up with the concept when she was just ten-years-old, and the actress, along with her parents, brought the idea to “blackish” creator Kenya Barris (who along with Will Packer and James Lopez, is also producing the movie). Marsai teased the coming trailer earlier this week on Instagram We found out on set just how strategic Martin is, as she described how it all came about: “I was talking to Daddy and Mommy about some of their favorite movies when they were growing up and one of mine was ‘BIG’ with Tom Hanks,” Martin told BOSSIP and other media during the set visit last fall. “So that’s really how the idea was brought out, that’s where it all started and we started brainstorming, to see how we could create a black girl magic situation.” After coming up with the basic outline the Martins wasted no time trying to bring their daughter’s concept to life. “At the Season 1 of “blackISH,” I think it was the season finale, dad went to Kenya like ‘Marsai has this dope idea,’” the actress recalled. “Kenya ended up liking it and right after was calling Will [Packer] like ‘Yo… Diane from “blackish” has a dope idea.” After that we had a meeting with him and James [Lopez] and after that he bought it and after that we went to Universal and they bought it and it wasn’t long before we shot it. I mean like, three years?” “I’m very grateful and very honored that they were just like saying yes to this 10-year-old who just popped out with this blazer and all of these things,” Martin said. “They could have said no but they actually believed in me and the story we wanted to tell.” The young starlet says she has aspirations of some day hosting “SNL” or the “Emmy’s” and experiencing the kind of success that she could retire at 18. “But I won’t!” Marsai promised. Well — if the Academy is listening they may have their perfect host right here. In the meantime, Martin’s father is focused on making sure his daughter is just as successful at life as she is the film industry. “One of the things we teach her is to live in the moment,” Josh Martin said of his teenage daughter. “Live in your moment, you don’t have to worry about what two years from now looks like. Live in your now and enjoy it! There’s no rush to grow up. Don’t start thinking too far ahead because life happens.” Marsai’s early success is no surprise to her father, who says by the age of two she was an avid film buff, enjoying projects like ‘Lackawanna Blues’ and the Ray Charles biopic ‘Ray,’ which she could mimic without actually watching. “It would be playing behind her on a screen and she would be mirroring all the moves. It was funny, she became this family party favor, grandparents would be sippin’ on something and be like ‘Look, look, do the thing…’” Josh Martin recalled. “We kinda stumbled up on it. All of this just fell into place and I’m glad it did because she really loves it.” One particular angle of ‘Little’ that hit particularly close to home was the underlying message about bullying that’s at the core of the storyline. “Jordan when she’s 13-years-old, she’s just like this sweet quirky girl, doesn’t care what anyone thinks and the more she grows up she realizes ‘Oh snap, people are bullying me, what can I do to stop this?” Marsai says. “So she started bullying them first. She thought that was the solution for people to stop messing with her.” Martin’s dad told BOSSIP that in this era of social media, he’s particularly proud that his daughter hasn’t allowed online bullying to affect her at all. “I can tell you this, the social media has been a gift and a curse, because before she was fully engaged in being this Hollywood actress she was following people like Beyoncé, people she liked, YouTubers, then she got to read comments and see a lot of people just wanted to see a reaction so she got to see how a lot of how social media worked and what she wanted her voice to be on social media and when she saw something she knew not to react. One of the things we taught her was not to look at the comments. One day somebody had said something to Skai Jackson and Skai responded and the only thing the person said was, “Oh my God, Skai replied to me.” And she was like “Oh, this is how it works?” She’s a really big fan of Beyoncé and she used to read a lot of the comments that people would leave about Beyoncé and she saw she wouldn’t give them any attention, I also make sure my presence is felt wherever she is, I let it be known she has a mother and a father and I will make a scene because I don’t care.” Well her film beginnings may be ‘LITTLE’ but it’s clear there are big things to come in the future for Marsai and it sounds like she’s got a great team behind her — both professional and family. Stay tuned for more great coverage from our set visit coming soon. Don’t forget, ‘LITTLE’ lands in theaters April 12!

The Internet Had A Hilarious Response To The “Bird Box” Movie

Go here to see the original:

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Netflix premiered the Bird Box movie earlier this week and now that everyone has gotten to see it, they’re responding to the film in the most hilarious way. Bird Box is a post apocalyptic thriller that begins when a mysterious force threatens civilization. The force, if you look at it, causes you to not only do bodily harm to yourself but pushes you to kill yourself. Mallory, played by Sandra Bullock, connects with a group of people with the desire to survive. Eventually, Mallory must use her instincts to keep her and her children alive with the help of a box of birds. Mallory and the children are blindfolded for the majority of the film and have to figure out how to navigate the world without the ability to see. For Black Twitter, that’s the most iconic part of the movie so of course, the memes took over the internet. What would you do if Bird Box happened in real life? Black Twitter weighed in. Check out some of the most hilarious responses.   Me, crying my eyeballs out at the end of #birdboxmovie while my boyfriend cries from laughing so hard at me crying pic.twitter.com/gocwydAJSk — CASTLES (@NatashaCastles) December 25, 2018 When you and your boyfriend watch Bird Box together and his reaction is totally different than yours.   In Bird Box, Trevante Rhodes’ character Tom found a way to go to the grocery store without sight by blacking out all of the windows on the car and using the GPS to guide him. The Rewind: J-Lo Proves It’s Never Too Late For Your Moment To Shine

Source: The Rewind / Global Grind Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a joyful New Year, it’s time for a special Christmas edition of Global Grind’s The Rewind with DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius. Every week we revisit some of the pop culture trends, movies, viral moments and music from the week before and give our hot takes. Our experts Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise share their opinions, sprinkle in some facts and then when it’s all over and done with, provide a rating of 1 to 10. We listen to the songs, watch the movies, scour the internet, and do the hard work so you don’t have to. So let’s get started, shall we? This week DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius do a deep dive into Jennifer Lopez’s new movie, Second Act , which hit theaters on December 21, 2018 and is directed by Peter Segal. The film is about Jennifer’s character, Maya Vargas, who is a Value Shop assistant manager and desperately wants a promotion for her 43rd birthday. With the help of her friend Zoe, played by Vanessa Hudgens, Maya Vargas enhances her less than stellar resume to match her street smarts and reinvents her life and her life-story for the job of her dreams. The film got a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes and The New York Times said that “Jennifer Lopez Deserves Better” but what does Global Grind think? Franchise and Landon dig into the movie and surprisingly when it comes to J. Lo’s acting, they’re actually impressed by her skill.  As far as her ability to act and portray a homely, minimum wage worker turned high level exec, Jennifer Lopez was able to execute the role flawlessly. DJ Franchise had a few things about the film that he wasn’t in love with. One of which was what he called the “Disney fee”, which you likely will get from most romantic comedies. He also feels that the film would have been even better if Jenny was actually from the block. Otherwise, according to our resident bully DJ Franchise, Second Act wasn’t half bad. Our two in house critics give their own review and drop a rating. Should you see  Second Act ? Hit play and we’ll let you know. Then, Franchise and Landon share their favorite all time holiday movie classics. Some are a little more “Christmasy” than others and at one point it gets a little awkward. Check out episode 22 of The Rewind above!
