Kristen Stewart Takes Us Inside Her Most Difficult ‘Snow White’ Scene

Best Kiss nominee and Movie Awards presenter says she was ‘so not ready’ for film’s emotionally charged speech. By Amy Wilkinson, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — In her latest film, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” actress Kristen Stewart proves that the fabled heroine is not only fair, but incredibly fierce. Suiting up in armor and wielding a glinting sword, Snow White must save her kingdom from the clutches of her evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna (played by Charlize Theron ). Yet, for as much onscreen bravery as she showed, Stewart was admittedly apprehensive about one scene in particular, she revealed during Sneak Peek Week, leading up to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET, where the actress is also a presenter. Stewart, along with co-star Sam Claflin , took to the Universal Studios CityWalk stage to debut an exclusive clip from the film and participate in a 30-minute Q&A session. When asked by a fan in the audience which scene was the most emotional for her to film, the Best Kiss nominee hesitated before recalling a moment late in the movie in which Snow White rallies her troops. Clad in a billowing white gown, Stewart delivers a rousing monologue, encouraging the townspeople to take up arms against the Queen — not for her sake but for their own. “It kept getting kicked to the end of the schedule. It was like, ‘I’m so not ready for that; put that one off a little longer,’ ” Stewart recalled. “Every single day we were re-writing it. I still need to frame that thing — laminate it somehow and give it to Rupert [Sanders] the director — the different renditions of it. It’s disintegrating.” Co-star Claflin was quick to praise Stewart for her performance in the movie’s pivotal moment. “The girl was wearing no shoes in the coldest day of English history and was wearing, like, a nightie,” Claflin said. “I don’t know how she did it, honestly. Man power. Woman power. Girl power … she did a smashing job on that.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Andy Samberg Thinks Russell Brand Will ‘Kill It’ At Movie Awards

‘It’s going to be a real stretch from the VMAs,’ Samberg joked about Brand hosting the Movie Awards, airing Sunday at 9 p.m. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Andy Samberg Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — We already have a good idea of how the 2012 MTV Movie Awards , but will the rest of his show be up to snuff? This will be the two-time Video Music Awards emcee’s first stint , and we’re hoping he will live up to his previous performances. During the , MTV News turned to former Movie Awards host Andy Samberg to hear his prediction on Brand’s hosting prowess. Samberg said that it probably wouldn’t be too different from Brand’s other times hosting MTV awards shows. “It’s going to be a real stretch from the VMAs,” he joked. “What’s he going to do? I just wonder if in the beginning he’s going to have some short film about how he’s got to make it to the Movie Awards in time. Is he going to make it? He’s in this film, how’s he going to make it? Every host seems to have this problem,” Samberg continued sarcastically. It’s true, we’ve seen a host or 10 do that familiar sketch in the past, though Samberg managed to avoid falling into that trap with his hilarious spoof on “Slumdog Millionaire,” “The Reader,” “Twilight” and “Star Trek” during his hosting gig. We’re sure Brand also has something different up his sleeve this year, and Samberg seemed to genuinely be looking forward to seeing what madness the Brit will concoct. “So many ingredients in a Movie Awards stew. I mean, celebs, spoofs, great performances,” he said. But the key ingredient? “A great host. That’s going to kill it, man. Russell’s hilarious.” Samberg took some time to reminisce on his own year hosting the Movie Awards, which apparently earned him $5 (well, in addition to whatever his salary was). Since he hosted back in 2009 — the first year “Twilight” was a nominee — Samberg said he was a little overwhelmed by the fan hysteria. “My year was like the first year of ‘Twilight,’ so you couldn’t hear anything. It was just a din of screaming girls,” he said. “At one point, I walked out and I had a bet with somebody backstage and I just went, ‘Twilight,’ and everyone went, ‘Wahh!’ and I was like, I just made five bucks.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! ‘Avengers’: Blockbuster Gets Bad News For A Change

In this special Movie Awards ‘After Hours’ clip, Clark Gregg goes from smiling to the fetal position. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Clark Gregg in “The Avengers” Photo: Marvel/Disney UNIVERSAL CITY, California — “The Avengers” is now the third-highest-grossing movie in the world. Most likely everyone involved with the mammoth Marvel superhero production is feeling pretty good about all of the success, right? Well, in this special Movie Awards “After Hours” clip, our own Josh Horowitz managed to bring actor Clark Gregg down. As if getting offed as Agent Coulson wasn’t bad enough (whether he’ll return as the Vision or in some other incarnation remains to be seen), Gregg was forced to confront a collection of sobering figures Josh delivered that drew a stark contrast with all the good “Avengers” news. Sure, the Avengers” was the fastest movie to ever pass $500 million. Yes, “The Avengers” was loved by more than 90 percent of critics. It’s taken in $1.3 billion around the world. But, as Clark learned during “After Hours,” people in Portugal hate him. No, really, they do. And Uruguay? Sheesh … Whether Gregg will fulfill fan dreams by returning to the franchise as the Vision (or in some other incarnation) remains to be seen, but this “After Hours” clip certainly gave him plenty to contemplate, as you’ll see. You’d be shaken up too if you learned 70 billion people would like to see you dead. Watch as Gregg was reduced to a low whisper, stammering for the right words, a shell of the man who happily smiled at the start and even corrected our “After Hours” host about the opening weekend at first. “Two-hundred-and-seven [million] — just what I heard,” he helpfully admonished. “If we’re doing the numbers, Josh.” If fans want to support their favorite Avengers at Sunday’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards , Captain America and Thor are facing off in the Best Hero category — but they’ve got some stiff competition in the form of Harry Potter, Katniss Everdeen and “21 Jump Street” cop Jenko. Does ‘Twilight’ Have A Lip-Lock On The Movie Awards?

We’ll see if RPattz and KStew nab their fourth prize over ‘The Vow,’ ‘Potter,’ ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ and ‘Hunger Games’ on Sunday. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment This year’s Best Kiss nominees are as diverse as they are titillating. Whether the smooch’s setting was rain-soaked, in a cave, seven years in the making or post-marriage, the nominees for this consistently popular 2012 MTV Movie Awards category all deserve credit for their wonderfully cinematic tongue tangos. Here’s a look at this year’s very competitive category: Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, “Crazy, Stupid, Love” Much ado has been made over the all-around swoonworthy-ness of Ryan Gosling and the all-around likeability of Emma Stone. Putting them together in a romantic comedy where their first kiss involves an assertive, rain-soaked Emma Stone getting exactly what she wants made for one of the year’s steamiest onscreen kisses. Not to mention Gosling’s adept assist in the scene: He is a Best Kiss winner after all ( for “The Notebook” ) and responsible for one of the best acceptance “speeches” in MTV Movie Awards history. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” Oh, young love. So angsty and confusing and frustrating and, in the case of “Harry Potter” characters Hermione (Watson) and Ron (Grint), too many years in the making. Though the big moment in the movie was different from how things went down in J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels, you can still hear the collective sighs and squeals over their very long-awaited first lip-lock in the blockbuster franchise’s eighth and final film, “Deathly Hallows, Part 2.” Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games” Known affectionately to “Hunger Games” fans as the “cave scene,” Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta (Hutcherson) find themselves between a literal rock and a hard place when Katniss must venture out to fetch her teammate and would-be love the medicine that will save his life. Katniss’ winning argument for risking her life is sealed with a kiss. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” “Twilight” fans will never tire of seeing kisses shared between their favorite onscreen couple, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. And luckily for the fans, the three-time winners know how to get the job done, as demonstrated by their passionate, lengthy and very public display of affection after being announced as man and wife in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, “The Vow” What’s more romantic than a devoted and doting husband? One who is charged with the very difficult task of making his wife fall in love with him all over again after she sustains severe memory loss from a traumatic accident. Such is the sweet and sigh-worthy setup for Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams’ heart-melting second first kiss in the romantic drama “The Vow.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Robert Pattinson: KStew Will ‘Kiss Herself’ At Movie Awards

Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are up for their fourth Best Kiss award at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, airing Sunday at 9 p.m. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Laura Whitmore Robert Pattinson Photo: MTV News There are only a few more hours left to cast your votes for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards , and should you need more reason to throw your support behind four-time Best Kiss nominees and three-time winners Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson , we have one for you, courtesy of Pattinson himself. When MTV UK recently caught up with the actor during an early press day for his highly anticipated film “Cosmopolis,” we asked him about his chances in bringing home a fourth golden popcorn trophy for his smooch with Stewart in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” and if they have plans to make a creative acceptance speech if they win. “I don’t know,” he said. “We didn’t get nominated for anything else. I’m like, ‘Grr,’ ” Pattinson joked about their film’s two nominations this year, versus the multiple nominations in previous years. “[I won’t be there because] I have to be in Toronto for ‘Cosmopolis,’ but I think Kristen is going so she’s going to kiss herself if she wins.” When asked about the specifics of Stewart’s plans for kissing herself, Pattinson didn’t want to give too much away. “People have to vote [to see]!” he said with a laugh. So what does Pattinson’s leading lady think of their chances for winning the award a fourth year in a row? “You know, you can’t have too many expectations going into that,” Stewart told MTV News recently during her appearance at our Sneak Peek Week Q&A for “Snow White and the Huntsman.” “There’s a lot going into that, just to be there is a huge honor. The 22-year-old actress went on to say that she is still surprised to have taken home any Best Kiss awards, given the very memorable onscreen kisses performed by previous winners. “When I was young, the [Best] Kiss was always a big thing, that’s why winning always [seemed impossible]. I think the ‘Spider-Man’ [kiss] I always imagined, ‘You’re never going to be able [to live up to that] and then the ‘Notebook’ [kiss] happened and then [I thought], ‘I’m never going to try and top those.’ ” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Kat Graham Takes Us Movie Awards Dress Shopping!

‘It’s slightly terrifying, but it’s going to be really fun,’ Graham tells MTV News of her Movie Awards style correspondent gig. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Kat Graham Photo: John Shearer/Invision for MTV LOS ANGELES — Kat Graham will be asking everyone who they’re wearing when she hits the 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet this Sunday. The “Vampire Diaries” star and singer has been handpicked to be MTV’s Special Style Correspondent on the red carpet before all the madness kicks off for the main show. Before Graham hits the carpet at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday, she needs that perfect outfit to wear for the festivities. And she invited MTV News along for a special fitting. “No pressure! I just have to be very familiar with the designers and the artists and everyone nominated,” she said. “It’s slightly terrifying, but it’s going to be really fun.” When it comes to her look, she explained that she has a specific philosophy. “I wanted to have something that was different, especially since I’m the fashion correspondent,” she said. “And I want to set a standard.” One look Kat tried on was black with colored beads and a see-through skirt. “I like it. It’s funky and slightly tame, I think, for me. The feathers are fun and it’s definitely good if you are bored and you want to play around with your outfit, gives you something to do,” she said. “But it might be a little too much.” She then tried on a multi-colored gladiator-style dress, again with see-through detailing and beads. “I don’t know. You think the armor shoulders are too much? You never know if somebody’s going to attack your shoulders. You have to be ready — anything can happen at the Movie Awards,” she said. “This is not going to work.” To find out what she does end up wearing, tune in to the pre-show on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV during the “Movie Awards Punk’d Pre-Party.” Graham will join MTV News’ very own Sway Calloway, Josh Horowitz and Jim Cantiello as they chat up all the big stars. The night will also feature a very special new episode of “Punk’d” with pro-pranker Ashton Kutcher pulling fast ones on Drake and Kim Kardashian. ‘Project X’ Star Proclaims Himself ‘America’s Dirtbag’

Oliver Cooper is desperate to win the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Oliver Cooper Photo: MTV News Oliver Cooper wants your vote! The “Project X” star is nominated for a couple of MTV Movie Awards , but it’s the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize that he’s really after. While promoting this year’s awards show, Cooper petitioned America for their vote. “Listen. Is America listening right now? I want you to vote for me for Best Onscreen Dirtbag because, truly, I am a dirtbag,” he said. This isn’t the first time Cooper has tried to swing the vote . But instead of pointing out why the other contenders — including Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Aniston — shouldn’t get the award, he explains why he thinks he should. “I f—ed up an entire neighborhood. I didn’t care about my friends. I still don’t care about those guys, OK? What else did I do in that movie? I don’t even remember. It’s all a blur. I don’t even care about the movie — that’s how much of a dirtbag I am,” he said. “I just want that goddamn popcorn, so I can have a career.” That’s when things start to get a little sad. Cooper explains how he’s at the brink of bursting out into Hollywood and needs a Golden Popcorn to help get him there. “Everybody else out there, they’ve got careers, they’re doing movies all over the world. Me? I’m living with my aunt right now. In Encino,” he said. “I’m Jewish, but I haven’t been to temple in over three years. Honestly, I’m a little confused. I don’t have a girlfriend. Recently, the girls I’ve been seeing, they don’t even speak English. Seriously. And that’s because I don’t want to talk to them.” And that’s where it all comes together for Cooper: managing to make us feel bad for him while reviling him at the same time. “I’m a dirtbag,” he promised. “I’m America’s dirtbag.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Pusha T’s Making ‘Superhero’ Music, The-Dream Teases

‘We just need him to be this guy for us right now, because I need that music in my car,’ Dream tells MTV News of Push’s album. By Nadeska Alexis with reporting by Rahman Dukes The-Dream and Pusha T Photo: MTV News Pusha T is still surprised that his opportunity to drop a solo album came around so quickly. But since he has the chance, the Clipse rapper and G.O.O.D. Music signee has immersed himself in a new learning experience with Kanye West and The-Dream, one he’s confident will result in a classic LP. Between the mad genius that is Kanye and the R&B storyteller that is The-Dream, Pusha might’ve just hit the production jackpot. “I’ve learned so much about song structure from Dream and I’ve learned so much from ‘Ye about finding the most colorful parts of your rhymes, editing it down and making sure, like, all the best parts of the rhyme are right in your face,” he told MTV News during a studio session with Mr. Terius Nash in Atlanta. “I’ve just totally taken this [attitude of] sitting back and absorbing everything they say.” After just a few sessions with Dream, Pusha said he has learned to accept the creative criticism as a tool to push further. “Sometimes [a track is] wrong. Sometimes it’s over-rapped and [The-Dream] will tell you, ‘Nah, stay right here. Stay within these lines, in these perimeters right here.’ This sh– is school, man; it’s real live school to me.” What might be school for Pusha, however, is just another spiritual experience for The-Dream, who’s infamous for crafting engrossing narrative across his projects. “It’s [being] spiritual about it and I think it’s just a timing thing,” The-Dream explained of how he builds the perfect songs. “It has a lot to do with what we want to hear, so it wasn’t [like I wouldn’t] allow Pusha to get off on rapping. We just need [him] to be this guy for us right now, because I need that music in my car. I’m R&B, but I grew up on Bankhead and I was riding around with UGK in my car, so I know what that real sh– is. I know how it makes you feel like a superhero.” “I want to feel like I’m literally beating my chest out the car,” he added. “You look over in my car — I’m mean-mugging you, you mean-mugging me, and I got Pusha in my deck. That’s how I want to feel. And so I was just providing that feeling, I just wanted to capture it in each song. We need [him] to say this because [he’s] talented enough to do it.” Thus far, we know that a few titles on the album will tentatively include “40 Acres” and “Automatic.” But Pusha, who recently dropped the fiery “Exodus 23:1,” is sure that the entire project will be cohesive and, of course, classic. “At the end of the day, we’re trying to make classic material,” he said. “Everybody who’s here is tuned into this project — period. It’s about being cohesive, and cohesive musicality is just not happening right now.” Since Pusha and The-Dream are hitting it off so well on this album, we asked if we might expect any future collaborations? “Man, I called him about the next album, already,” Pusha said without hesitation. And to that, The-Dream said with a laugh, “We will grow old together.” Are you excited for Pusha’s solo album? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Pusha T The-Dream

Channing Tatum And Matthew McConaughey: Can You Tell Their Abs Apart?

‘Magic Mike’ stars debut exclusive clip, talk about getting ‘butt naked’ during MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. By Amy Wilkinson, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Channing Tatum in “Magic Mike” Photo: Warner Bros. UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Moviegoers are seeing a lot of Channing Tatum in 2012, thanks to a trio of starring film roles, but they’ll see a whole new side of the actor when his upcoming stripper flick ” Magic Mike ” debuts June 29. And, yes, we are talking about his backside. Tatum, along with co-star Matthew McConaughey and producer-screenwriter Reid Carolin, took to the Universal Studios CityWalk stage Thursday night to debut an exclusive clip from the Steven Soderbergh-directed film and talk about taking it all off during our Sneak Peek Week festivities leading up to the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, June 3. Both actors are clearly comfortable taking their shirts off. In fact, MTV News’ Josh Horowitz administered a shirtless guessing game to the pair — which they both aced, by the way (watch in the embedded video). Therefore, taking the next logical step and shimmying in a thong wasn’t too difficult, both agreed, though it did require ample preparation. “I think pre-movie is pretty intense because to get butt naked, you have to — there’s a different regimen for getting butt naked, but thank god, it was a short shoot,” Tatum said with a sly grin. “Then we just had fun on the day.” One could hardly blame Tatum or any of his fellow stripping stars for having reservations once the cameras began rolling, but the actor assured us that the entire cast, including Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer, were total pros. “These guys have never stripped before, and I remember the first day of rehearsals,” Tatum recalled, “I looked at all the guys, and we went through our stuff, and I was like, ‘All right. It’s time to get naked, boys.’ And it was hilarious that none of them really balked.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now!
