‘I’ve never won any award before, so this is very exciting,’ she says of Best Comedic Performance prize. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Emma Stone wins Best Comedic Performance at the 2011 Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images A newborn baby was part of the plot in “Due Date,” but it was Emma Stone doing the cradling after she beat Zach Galifianakis (and three other guys) at the MTV Movie Awards . “This is my child,” Stone joked with MTV News backstage at the Gibson Amphitheatre as she lovingly cradled the Golden Popcorn she nabbed for Best Comedic Performance. “I’m going to [feed him]. I’m going to every day. “It’s never happened before,” she added. “I’ve never won any award before, so this is very exciting.” “Easy A” earned Stone the win over Galifianakis, Adam Sandler (“Just Go With It”), Ashton Kutcher (“No Strings Attached”) and Russell Brand (“Get Him to the Greek”). “In a category with four hilarious comedic men? I did not think I was going to win,” she said. “So I’m incredibly flattered and honored. “And it’s so nice, because it’s voted on by the public, which is an unbelievable honor,” she added. The 22-year-old actress was on hand as a presenter alongside her “Crazy, Stupid, Love” co-stars Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell. She was also nominated in the Best Female Performance category, which went to Kristen Stewart for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” Stone, who just wrapped shooting “The Amazing Spider-Man,” said she was genuinely surprised by her win in the Best Comedic Performance category. “Did that speech seem prepared?” she pointed out, laughing. “I don’t even know what I said! I was just concentrating on not falling over. Once you get up there, it’s a very shaky experience.” MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards . Co-presenter RPattz gets carried away with an ‘ad lib’ at Movie Awards. By Aly Semigran Reese Witherspoon accepts her Generation Award at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Getty Images Reese Witherspoon was on hand at this year’s MTV Movie Awards to accept the Generation Award for her work in genre-spanning box-office hits like “Election,” “Legally Blonde,” “Cruel Intentions,” “Pleasantville” and “Walk the Line,” which earned her a Best Actress Oscar. But what Witherspoon — and the audience, for that matter — probably wasn’t expecting was some surprisingly salty banter from the co-stars who presented her with the award. Patrick Dempsey, Robert Pattinson and Chelsea Handler took the stage to praise Witherspoon’s illustrious career, with Dempsey, who co-starred with Reese in the 2002 romantic comedy “Sweet Home Alabama,” describing the actress as “beautiful and multitalented.” The actor ran down her long list of accomplishments, both onscreen and off, concluding his portion with a mention of Witherspoon’s charitable work with the Avon Foundation. Up next was a stunned Pattinson, who asked aloud, “I’m supposed to talk about the Avon thing?!” The “Twilight” hunk — he and Kristen Stewart had won Best Kiss just moments earlier — quickly tried to recover, calling Witherspoon a “great person” and pulling a piece of paper with some notes on it from his pocket. Still obviously nervous, RPattz told the crowd that he had been instructed by the teleprompter to “ad lib” his dedication. “This is the worst,” Handler quipped about Pattinson’s hilariously shaky start. Pattinson finally got his bearings and addressed Witherspoon, who was seated in the audience. The 24-year-old star reminded the actress that she played his mother in the 2004 drama “Vanity Fair” but his portion of the film was cut out, joking that it was at Witherspoon’s suggestion. However, in their most recent venture, “Water for Elephants,” Pattinson noted that Witherspoon “played my lover.” And then (in what’s bound to go down in MTV Movie Awards, missed-the-bleep-button history) Pattinson blurted, “But I did f— you.” His F-bomb went live and uncensored. But he wasn’t done yet. The actor went on to suggest that Witherspoon had trouble speaking while in a girdle, has a penchant for tequila and that she may or may not be “33 percent lesbian,” as an embarrassed Witherspoon hid her face and laughed from her seat. Pattinson concluded his remarks by saying, “It’s not always a bad thing to have sexual chemistry with your mother,” once again referencing his unseen part in “Vanity Fair.” “What a tough act to follow,” the host of E!’s “Chelsea Lately” deadpanned. The late-night funny lady opened by complimenting Witherspoon, a mother of two, saying she “still has a smaller ass than Justin Bieber. It’s OK, we’re friends,” Handler assured the vocal crowd. The comedian also shared that her pal actually has a naughty side — as seen in the infamous roller-coaster moment with Mark Wahlberg in the thriller “Fear” — before Witherspoon finally took the stage to accept her award. A beaming Witherspoon, who took the roast from “the three most ridiculous people in the world” like a champ, quickly fired back. She told her “Water for Elephants” flame that he actually botched his joke and should have declared himself the “best mother—-er in Hollywood.” Witherspoon’s zinger had Pattinson and the MTV audience cracking up. The Hollywood star’s acceptance speech included some great one-liners, but she also countered Handler’s suggestion that she’s a “dirty birdie” deep down. Rather, Witherspoon said she hopes aspiring actresses will look to her for inspiration instead of seeking fame by way of a reality show. The 35-year-old let loose about reality starlets and actresses who’ve exposed themselves for fame. “I just want to say to all the girls out there, I know it’s cool to be bad. I get it … but it’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show,” Witherspoon said to a cheering audience. She continued, “When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed, you hid it under your bed … and, like, if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people!” In closing, the actress thanked MTV for years of support and all of the fans who had made it possible for her to live out her life-long dream. Robert Pattinson Drops F-Bomb As Reese Witherspoon Gets Generation Award
‘Twilight’ actors Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner heat up red carpet. By Mary H.K. Choi Kristen Stewart at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Swoon. There’s nothing like an entire sea of sartorial goodies from an awards show to get the MTV Style squad good and excited, and Sunday’s (June 5) 2011 MTV Movie Awards red carpet was nothing short of bananas! You can check out our blow-by-blow palpitations on our live blog . Sharing the podium with none other than our Christian Siriano — and his darling boyfriend, jewelry designer/photographer Brad Walsh (who, by the way, was wearing the same grey, black grosgrain-accented suit as a baby cub member of the “Twilight” wolf pack) — we witnessed an awesome style potpourri. White was a huge trend for the night, and “The Last Exorcism” actress Ashley Bell sidled up in a gorgeous embroidered, knee-length dress cut demurely at the knee with the loveliest sweetheart neckline. Selena Gomez also wore a two-piece Giambattista Valli with a printed ivory top and a beige ruched miniskirt. “Gossip Girl” and “Monte Carlo” co-star Katie Cassidy wore a gorgeous floor-length ivory crocheted dress. Pssst! Floor-length was a huge hit for the night. Generation Award winner Reese Witherspoon, “Transformers” star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Snow White-to-be Lily Collins were all visions of ferocious awesomeness in animal print (leopard, tiger and leopard again, respectively), but the breakout aesthetic that dominated the red carpet was massive sequins, angular shards of jewels and beading galore. , Lil Mama (in Sherri Hill) and “Gossip Girl” and “Monte Carlo” co-star Leighton Meester all wore the sparkly stuff, but the curveball of the night had to be “True Grit” breakout actress Hailee Steinfeld not wearing Miu Miu (the brand for which she’s a spokesperson), instead sporting a wholly refreshing Louis Vuitton black, sequined lapel tuxedo! We just about dropped dead from the rampant elegance. Elle Fanning also threw us for a loop in a summery, saturated-hue pink romper with matching floral-printed wedge heels, both Dolce & Gabbana and marvelously age-appropriate. And though Kristen Stewart would typically, tidily slot nicely into the segment about beading, , while it did feature the glitz factor in scads, needed to be pulled out for a round of 360 mega-props. All that glittered was not gold, but row upon row of safety pins that gleamed menacingly and gorgeously. Not unlike a certain vampire’s twinkling nude torso in sunlight, no? This is the skin of a killer! Speaking of hot dudes, motorcycle jackets reined supreme on the red carpet as did dark jeans. Peter Facinelli (a.k.a. Carlisle Cullen. Team Edward forever! Also, let’s face it, Team Jacob, too) wore a moto, as did Jason Bateman and Taylor Lautner in head-to-toe D&G. Spider-Man-to-be Andrew Garfield, Kellan Lutz and Robert Pattinson all wore dark denim. All the better to stealthily march into our hearts, dreams, wakeful reveries, loins … too much? MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards . ‘It’s kind of a prized place in my house, the downstairs toilet,’ he quips backstage about Best Villain award. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Tom Felton backstage at the 2011 Movie Awards Photo: MTV News Tom Felton might not have been interrupted by Mark Wahlberg during his MTV Movie Awards acceptance speech for Best Villain this year, but that doesn’t make receiving the award any less special for him. “Thank you very much, it’s always exciting to be here,” he said in his acceptance speech. “This is very cool. This will look very nice in my downstairs toilet.” When MTV News caught up with Felton backstage after his second straight win, he clarified that his downstairs toilet actually is a pretty important location in his home. “It’s kind of a prized place in my house, the downstairs toilet,” Felton deadpanned. “Consider it an honor.” Though he technically came back to defend the Best Villain title for “Harry Potter,” he said the real reason is because he hadn’t yet seen any of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” yet and wanted to catch the sneak peek at the MTV Movie Awards . “That’s half the reason I’m here,” he said with a laugh. Since Felton hasn’t seen any of the footage yet, he couldn’t tease how “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” would look in 3-D, but he did say it’s something he’s anticipating. “I’m very excited,” he said. “I’m not sure if that’s going to add or subtract to my screen presence.” MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards . Sneak peeks from ‘Breaking Dawn’ and ‘Deathly Hallows’ make a splash at the big show. By Gil Kaufman The cast of “Twilight” at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: John Shearer/ WireImage Hollywood may have just found the ultimate killer mega-sequel on Sunday night (June 5) when “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” ran the table at the MTV Movie Awards , taking home five big ones, including Best Movie and Best Female and Male performance wins for stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Not too shabby for a bunch of undead vampires, buff werewolves and the lady who loves them. In the process, the kids from rainy Forks, Washington, nearly blanked the also multiply-nominated cast of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1,” surely giving someone in Hollywood a great idea to stage the ultimate fan-freakout-fantasy-world showdown once the two series wrap up. In the meantime, fans made do with lots of Pattinson and Stewart on Sunday night, along with generous helpings of Taylor Lautner and more Arnold Schwarzenegger illegitimate-kid jokes than anyone imagined from host Jason Sudeikis. With a set that looked like a backlot fantasia , with a ring of fake grass, crystal towers, caves, butterflies, LED lights and glittery, hanging jewels, the stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre was a nod to the “Lord of the Rings” and the fantasy world of movies. And with their hands all over each other, “Friends with Benefits” co-stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake proudly handed out the night’s first award, Best Male Performance, to “Twilight” star Pattinson, who beat out love-triangle rival Lautner for the honor. “I really didn’t think I was going to win,” said the perpetually self-effacing undead star, who got a smile but no congratulatory, well, anything, from co-star Stewart. “This is kind of embarrassing now. Zac Efron was crying and stuff in that clip. … Thanks for showing all your support to the movies. See you next year!” Was there any doubt whether Tom Felton would take home the Best Villain award for his truly terrifying performance of blond baddie Draco Malfoy in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1”? Flashing an uncharacteristic smile, the nice English lad said, “This will look very nice in my downstairs toilet,” thanking fans for a decade of support and promising that the final installment will be worth the wait. Poo Cocktail Supreme , a sawed-off arm, the world literally exploding all around you and the cuticle from hell: All worthy nominees, but it was Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” 3-D concert film that took the Best Jaw Dropping Moment prize. Though it looked like the Biebs wouldn’t be on hand to take home the honor, he made a surprise appearance and thanked his director, manager and family. “But most of all I want to thank my fans. I love you,” said Bieber, sporting white jeans and a blue blazer over a black T-shirt. It wasn’t all just movie magic, though. Funnyman Jim Carrey promised to bring some high-tech shenanigans to the proceedings, and he didn’t disappoint. The “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” star showed up in a green-screen suit that featured a number of high-tech images, but mostly just dogs humping. He was on hand to introduce the Foo Fighters, who lit the stage up with a blistering performance of their new single “Walk,” with a set that included six strobing movie-set klieg lights. Alas, Potter’s Death Eaters had nothing on Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel’s showdown with Pattinson in “Eclipse,” which also won for Best Fight. Pattinson bragged about winning the filmed fight, even as Howard apologized for trying to hurt him. “It’s fine. I ripped your head off … and now you’re pregnant!” he said awkwardly, as Stewart cradled her face in her hands in embarrassment at his crack about their co-star’s bulging baby belly. You kind of couldn’t go wrong with the Best Kiss category , especially if you’re on Team Edward. But really? Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman didn’t snag the traditionally Sapphic-friendly smooch trophy? Nope, not when RPattz and KStew are in the mix. Taking the stage for the third time, Pattinson sheepishly said he felt bad because he, well, didn’t really feel like re-creating his smooch with Stewart from “Eclipse.” “You don’t want to kiss me, do you?” he said to Stewart. “Well, I mean, it’s been a long time, and … I think we should finally go for it,” she replied nervously, as the camera cut to a totally psyched Selena Gomez. “There’s someone else in the audience I think will appreciate it a little more,” Pattinson answered, before sprinting out to the crowd and laying a big, wet one on Lautner’s mouth , forehead and hand. When he tried to snag the award from Stewart’s hands, she grabbed it away and he grunted, “I wanna take you backstage!” in what amounts to PDA for these two. Luckily for the nominees in the Best Line from a Movie category , there were no quotable muggles or vampires in the mix, so you can be sure 7-year-old “Grown Ups” star Alexys Nycole Sanchez was going to celebrate her win later that night by getting totally “chocolate wasted.” This is so cool!” squeaked the adorable moppet before reprising her money line. The ladies in the Best Female Performance race were not so lucky, as Stewart beat out the Emmas (Stone and Watson), Jennifer Aniston and “Black Swan” star Portman. The publicity-shy actress, wearing a red leather minidress festooned with safety pins, said, “Oh, man, this is silly. It feels very incredible to be so completely supported by everybody that voted for me, it actually really, truly does. Thank you. We have obviously the greatest fans ever.” The luminous Reese Witherspoon was presented with this year’s MTV Generation Award , preceded by her “Water for Elephants” co-star Pattinson, giving a touching, and quite salty, tribute to the actress, who’s been his movie mother and lover. “I’m just so lucky in my career and my life,” said Witherspoon, who kindly corrected the punch line to one of Pattinson’s most off-color jokes, while praising her chemistry with “Sweet Home Alabama” co-star Patrick Dempsey. “I just want to say to all the girls out there: I know it’s cool to be bad, I get it … but it’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show … so for all the girls out there, it’s possible to be a good girl.” Related Videos Backstage At The 2011 MTV Movie Awards Amazing Exclusives From The MTV Movie Awards ‘Twilight’ Stars Take Over 2011 MTV Movie Awards Related Photos ‘Twilight’ At The 2011 MTV Movie Awards Exclusive Movie Props From The 2011 MTV Movie Awards Related Artists Justin Bieber

RPattz tells fellow Best Kiss winner Kristen Stewart that Lautner would just ‘appreciate it a little more.’ By Terri Schwartz Robert Pattinson kisses Taylor Lautner at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage The third time was the charm for three-time MTV Movie Awards Best Kiss winners Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart … or, at least, it should have been. For the past two years, the “Twilight” stars have teased Movie Awards audiences with almost-kisses as they accepted their award. So on Sunday night (June 4), when presenters Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announced that RPattz and KStew had won for their smooch in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” it seemed this year’s show would finally bring the big moment fans have been waiting for. Well, er, it wasn’t. “I feel bad because I don’t feel like kissing you,” Pattinson apologized to Stewart onstage. “You don’t want to kiss me, do you?” Stewart, though, seemed more willing. “Well, it’s been a long time and I think maybe we should finally go for it,” she said to cheers from the crowd. But Pattinson still wasn’t having it. “I just think there’s someone else in the audience who I think will appreciate it a little more,” he said. Cue the camera cutting to a stone-faced Taylor Lautner. “Go get him,” Stewart encouraged. Pattinson then took to the Gibson Amphitheatre floor running. As the audience screamed in excitement, he leaned over and gave Lautner a full-on smooch on the lips as his werewolf co-star wrapped an arm around him. Of course, Lautner also wiped his mouth immediately after (too much tongue?), but Pattinson wasn’t done. Soon he was right back onstage going after Stewart — for real. She squealed, “No!” and ran away laughing. “What? I want to take you back stage!” Pattinson said with a flirty grin. And the pair made their dramatic and hilarious exit … but still no kiss. MTV News catches up with ‘Twilight’ stud after Best Male Performance win at the Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Photo: MTV News In the biggest non-surprise of the night, Robert Pattinson won the MTV Movie Award for Best Male Performance for the third year in a row. But the man himself was still shocked. “I really didn’t think I was going to win. Zac Efron was crying and stuff in that clip!” Pattinson said during his acceptance speech, referring to his fellow nominee’s performance in “Charlie St. Cloud.” Still, he recognized that it was the fans who brought him the win yet again; his first win was in 2009 for “Twilight,” and then again last year for “New Moon.” “I’m consistently surprised, so thank you very much,” he said. “I hope we see you all again next year.” When MTV News caught up with the “Breaking Dawn” star after his big win, he was worried he dropped the ball a bit in his acceptance speech. “I’m just trying to come up with something funny to say to all of these. I pussied out on my first one and said nothing,” Pattinson said with a laugh. Fortunately, the man better known as Edward Cullen followed up his Best Male Performance acceptance speech with a much stronger Best Fight one. He took to the stage with “Eclipse” co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel and, after a moment’s awkwardness, pulled out the humor. “Well, yeah, I won, ha!” Pattinson said as his acceptance. Howard turned to him, apologizing for her villainess role in “Eclipse” by saying, “I guess I should say: I’m so sorry I tried to kill you, Rob.” “It’s all right. I ripped your head off, and now you’re pregnant!” he replied to the audience’s laughter. MTV News has all of the highlights from the 2011 MTV Movie Awards .
