Jack Black, Seth Rogen Offer MTV Movie Awards Advice To Jason Sudeikis

‘Don’t go halfway,’ Black tells the 2011 host before Sunday’s big show. By Jocelyn Vena Jason Sudeikis Jason Sudeikis is mere days away from taking the stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, to host the 2011 MTV Movie Awards this Sunday. We’re pretty sure he doesn’t need much advice — since he keeps the audience in stitches week after week as a castmate on “Saturday Night Live” and is bound to have everyone laughing in the summer comedy “Horrible Bosses” — but if he does need some last-minute words, MTV News caught up with some other funny guys to help out. “Don’t go halfway. Oh here it is: All of the f—ing way,” said Jack Black, who co-hosted the Movie Awards with Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2002. “That should be his mantra.” Need shorthand for that? Black added: “AOTFW.” While Seth Rogen seemed to be a little jealous of Sudeikis’ gig, he did have kind words for the host. “I don’t think he needs our advice,” Rogen said, with pal Danny McBride by his side. “I’ve been jockeying for that gig for 10 years, and he got it.” But what about some more advice from someone who’s been there before? Andy Samberg , who hosted the Movie Awards back in 2009, shared with MTV News some key steps to ensure a successful hosting gig. “What advice can you give to a guy that has it all? Be yourself, grab ’em by the scruff of the neck and don’t let go,” he advised. “Wear a nice suit. Hydrate. Crunches. Make sure ‘Twilight’ wins everything so the crowd is lively. Rig the results!” Another former host, 2010 emcee Aziz Ansari , had some different advice for the actor/comedian. “It’s so much work, so definitely have a lot of uppers on hand, like just drugs that’ll get you fired up,” he joked. “PCP is good to stay up all night, get all the work done. It’s a cool thing, though; it’s back in vogue. It’s like Twitter, PCP. It’s like trendy things: Twitter, PCP, Jonas Brothers.” The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Jason Sudeikis Likens ‘Twilight Saga’ To ‘Star Wars’

MTV Movie Awards host tells Jason Bateman that Bella and Edward kiss is ‘a big darn deal’ during our ‘Horrible Bosses’ Sneak Peek Week Q&A. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jason Bateman, Seth Gordon and Jason Sudeikis at MTV’s Sneak Peek Week screening of “Horrible Bosses” Photo: Frank Micelotta/ PictureGroup WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — It all started with an innocent fan question, submitted via Twitter, during the MTV News Sneak Peek Week presentation of the summer comedy “Horrible Bosses.” The crowd at the Pacific Design Center had just finished watching an early screening of the flick and were taking in the live chat with stars Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis and director Seth Gordon, when the conversation turned to Sudeikis’ upcoming gig: hosting the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. “Can the two Jasons top the Bella and Edward kiss from ‘Eclipse’ ?” the tweeter-in-question wanted to know. “What is that?” Bateman, clearly no devotee of the vampire franchise, wanted to know. So in stepped Sudeikis, who has been studying up on the Twi-ins and Twi-outs of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner’s blockbuster series. The “Saturday Night Live” funnyman proceeded to launch into an uproarious rundown of the steamy love triangle at the heart of the “Twilight Saga.” As Sudeikis explained it, Pattinson plays a “handsome vampire kid,” Lautner portrays “this other fella floating around,” and Stewart is “flummoxed — she doesn’t know which way to go.” Hitting on everything from “Star Wars” to masturbation to “Little House on the Prairie,” the cinematic breakdown was both reverent and ridiculous. But any summary can’t quite capture the magic of Sudeikis playing film school prof, so hit play on the video and check it out yourself! “Eclipse,” meanwhile, is up for eight nominations, including two Best Kiss nods for KStew herself, one with Rob and one with Taylor. As Sudeikis put it, “Them smooching is a big darn deal!” Don’t forget to check out the Movie Awards when they air live on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. As we just announced, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will be on hand to present an exclusive clip from “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Kristen Stewart Vs. Herself: Celebs Pick MTV Movie Awards’ Best Kiss

Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner? Before Sunday’s show, we ask which smooch should come out on top. By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart Photo: Larry Busacca/ Getty Images Kristen Stewart got to lock lips with both Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” and it seems like all the — cough, cough — hard work paid off: Both smooches are up for Best Kiss at Sunday’s 2011 MTV Movie Awards . We went straight to Stewart’s fellow celebs to ask: Which lip-lock should come out on top? “Vampire Diaries” star Kat Graham knows a thing or two about hot supernatural guys, and she has a very strong opinion about which kiss rules in “Eclipse”: “I love Taylor Lautner,” she gushed. “He could be making out with a hamburger, and I would be like, ‘Best kiss ever!’ ” Olympian Johnny Weir also seems to be a member of Team Jacob. “Taylor Lautner in that movie was, you know, rocking the sex,” he exclaimed, most likely referencing Lautner’s ever-present abs in the franchise. “X-Men: First Class” actress Rose Byrne is leaning toward Team Edward when it comes to the kisses, even calling out Pattinson’s fan-favorite nickname: “I think it will be RPattz.” Elle Fanning, whose sister Dakota stars in the “Twilight” flicks, concurred with Byrne, reasoning that Stewart’s Bella is “marrying Edward, so you sort of have to pick Edward.” “X-Men” hottie Michael Fassbender might not know Edward from Jacob, but he did pick one of the actors over the other. “I’m just going to go with Robert,” he said. Hilary Duff kept it right in the middle with her choice. “You’re really going for all the tough questions, aren’t you?” she teased. “In the first movie, it was better with Edward, and I think [then] it was better with Jacob,” she said. “Was that politically correct?” Stewart’s “Eclipse” kisses are up against Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Inception”), Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1”) and Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis (“Black Swan”). ‘Harry Potter’ star calls the award, which he will accept June 27 at NYC’s Trevor LIVE gala, a ‘great honor.’ By Kara Warner Daniel Radcliffe Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images Here at MTV News, we’ve always been big Daniel Radcliffe fans, starting with the “Harry Potter” role that launched his superstardom and continuing with the successful acting career that has followed. However, recently, it is Radcliffe’s more charitable efforts that have been drawing our warm regards. Since 2009, the 21-year-old has been involved with nonprofit organization the Trevor Project , a suicide-prevention/ support group geared toward gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning teens. In recognition of Radcliffe’s awareness-raising efforts , he will soon take a break from his “Potter” promoting and Broadway duties to be presented with the organization’s Hero Award at the Trevor LIVE gala at Capitale in New York City on June 27. “It’s fantastic,” Radcliffe said of the award. “The fact that they think of what I’ve done by promoting awareness of the Trevor Project itself and the issues that it works to promote and help is a great honor.” The star-studded event will also feature appearances from Amy Poehler, John Larroquette, Janeane Garofolo, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Brad Goreski and more. “It is exciting to bring together so many talented individuals who support LGBTQ youth in crisis, including Trevor Hero Daniel Radcliffe,” said David McFarland, interim executive director and CEO of the Trevor Project. “Together, we are all working to give LGBTQ youth in crisis a chance at a future.” The Trevor Project was founded by filmmakers James Lecesne, Peggy Rajski and Randy Stone, who made the Oscar-winning short film “Trevor,” and it is the leading national organization dedicated to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youths who need a no-judgment safe haven to turn to. Trevor LIVE at Capitale, presented by ING, is the signature annual event of the Trevor Project. The Pride Month event brings together top entertainers and corporate leaders to support the organization’s life-saving initiatives, including its free and confidential lifeline, suicide prevention workshops, community outreach, advocacy efforts and educational resources. Radcliffe is nominated this weekend at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards for Best Male Performance in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.” Catch the show Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. ‘Twilight’ Vs. ‘Harry Potter’ At MTV Movie Awards: Celebs Weigh In!

‘That’s hard, because I love both of them,’ Elle Fanning says leading up to the big show Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. By Kara Warner Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Photo: Warner Bros./ Summit Given the fact that the latest installments in the blockbuster “Twilight” and “Harry Potter” film franchises are the first and third most-nominated films leading into Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards — with eight nominations for “Eclipse” and six nominations for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” — we figured it would be fun to ask a few of our favorite celebs the most polarizing of all questions: Team Potter or Team Twilight? “Wow, that’s hard, because I love both of them,” Elle Fanning told us of her divided devotion, made especially difficult because of the fact that Fanning’s older sister Dakota appears in “The Twilight Saga.” “There’s something really sexual about ‘Twilight,’ ” superstar figure skater Johnny Weir pointed out. “And as an older gentleman, I enjoy that.” “Who doesn’t want to be a witch or wizard and go to school at Hogwarts?” “Pretty Little Liars” star Troian Bellisario asked rhetorically. “I’m going to have to remain neutral on that,” “X-Men: First Class” star Michael Fassbender said diplomatically. “You said you cried watching ‘Twilight,’ after 30 seconds,” Fassbender’s co-star James McAvoy pointed out. “Dammit, James!” Fassbender exclaimed sarcastically, pretending to be embarrassed by some big secret he was trying to keep. ” ‘Harry Potter’ is more my generation,” Camilla Belle said. “I remember I was in elementary school when ‘Harry Potter’ came out.” “I’d have to say [Team] Twilight,” “Glee” star Chord Overstreet added. “I’m a ‘Potter’ person, because ‘Potter’ got me reading,” revealed “Friday Night Lights” and “Prom” actress Aimee Teegarden. “[There’s] something about vampires and werewolves that do it for me,” Hilary Duff weighed in, bringing the unofficial poll count to three Team Potter members vs. four for Team Twilight. At this year’s Movie Awards, “Eclipse” (eight nominations) will be facing off against “Inception” (seven noms) and “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1” (six noms). Voting in all the categories, from Best Kiss to Best Fight to Best Scared-as-S**t Performance and beyond, is currently under way over at MovieAwards.MTV.com . Voting is set to close June 4. But voting for Best Movie will stay open through the show itself, meaning you have a chance to affect the night’s biggest winner up until the very last minute. The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Will vampires and werewolves own the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Can wizards or dream thieves steal the Golden Popcorn? Find out June 5, when the 20th annual show airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Arnold Schwarzenegger to Face Lawsuit Over Birth Certificate Scam?

Might the wandering penis of Arnold Schwarzenegger land this disgraced politician in major legal trouble? According to Fox News, Rogelio Baena – the ex-husband of Arnold’s baby mama and former housekeeper, Mildred Patricia Baena – told a Colombian newspaper this week that he plans to sue the former Governor. On what grounds? Rogelio’s name appears on the birth certificate of his 13-year old son, the boy Schwarzenegger has admitted is actually his. If Schwarzenegger and Mildred Baena – who told the press today she’s disgusted by her family members going public with various scoops and interviews – conspired to falsify a birth certificate, they could be subject to serious repercussions in California. This is tough news for the movie star. But at least he can take comfort in the fact that he pretty much took Gigi Goyette’s virginity . [Photo: Pacific Coast News]

MTV Movie Awards Mania Kicks Off With Sneak Peek Week

Stars of ‘Fright Night,’ ‘The Help’ and more stop by next week for live interviews and exclusive clips. By Eric Ditzian Christopher Mintz-Plasse in “Fright Night” Photo: DreamWorks Each year, we jam 12 months’ worth of movie magic into just one day for the MTV Movie Awards . This time around, there’s simply too much Golden Popcorn goodness to contain, so we’re opening up things with a full five days of cinematic treats that we call MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. Starting on Monday, May 30, and running through Friday, June 3, we’ll be bringing you exclusive looks at some of this summer’s hottest films, including “Fright Night,” “Horrible Bosses” and more. Each night at 11 p.m. ET, we’ll welcome a film’s cast onto MTV to present an exclusive clip. Then you can continue the live conversation with the stars online, as our own Josh Horowitz hosts an extended chat with the talent. As always, you’ll have the chance to ask the stars your own questions; just tweet at @MTVNews using the hashtag #SPW . It’s all building up to the Movie Awards themselves, which will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis and air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. On Monday, we’ll be sitting down with “Fright Night” star Christopher Mintz-Plasse and director Craig Gillespie for an early glimpse at this horror remake. Mintz-Plasse and Anton Yelchin play high school seniors who get pulled into their neighbor’s creepy world, eventually finding out that the stranger (Colin Farrell) is a vampire preying on the town. The next night, the stars and director of “The Art of Getting By,” a Sundance fave earlier this year, will be stopping by. Emma Roberts, Michael Angarano, Elizabeth Reaser and director Gavin Wiesen will introduce a clip, then stick around to discuss their indie about a lonely student (Freddie Highmore) and the unlikely friendship he strikes up with Roberts’ charismatic and complicated teen girl. Wednesday brings us what’s sure to be one of the funniest comedies of the summer. “Horrible Bosses” star Jason Bateman and director Seth Gordon will present an exclusive clip before diving into a chat about how Bateman and his onscreen cohorts hatch a plan to kill their nasty workplace superiors. Then on Thursday, Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard will jump into the action in support of “The Help.” Based on the #1 New York Times best-seller, the film stars Stone as an unlikely civil-rights activist in ’60s-era Mississippi. Finally on Friday, the folks behind action-comedy “30 Minutes or Less” will bring Sneak Peek Week to a close. Stars Aziz Ansari, Michael Pe

‘Hangover Part II’ Stars Talk Bradley Cooper’s Head-Shaving Skills

‘I did such a good job shaving his head they had to mess it up more,’ actor tells MTV News of Zach Galifianakis’ new look. By Kara Warner Bradley Cooper Photo: MTV News Those crazy boys of summer are back. We’re talking, of course, about Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, stars of the highly anticipated “Hangover Part II.” At the film’s NYC premiere earlier this week, the guys told us about the “chaos” of their pre-release press blitz , and now, MTV News takes you inside the chaos of filming the “Hangover” sequel. When talking about how the photo montages at the ends of both films were compiled, Cooper and Galifianakis ended up in a back-and-forth about Cooper’s head-shaving skills. “It runs a similar course as the filming of the movie,” Cooper said when asked about when the photos for the montages were taken. “We would allocate time in the shooting day to do stills throughout the movie, so at the end, you have all the stills, but it’s not like we have two days and we shoot all the stills; it’s throughout the whole film.” With regard to Galifianakis’ shaved head, which occurs during a scene in the film, we wanted to know if the actual clipping was performed by Cooper. “Yeah,” Cooper said. “I did a nice job.” “I mean, it’s pretty easy,” Galifianakis pointed out. “It’s not that easy,” Cooper protested. “Your ears are very tight to your face.” “Bradley, everybody has a template. I mean, look at that picture,” Galifianakis said, pointing to the film’s promo poster, which features a photo of Galifianakis with a perfectly buzzed coif. “What I’m saying is, it’s so easy to shave someone’s head.” “I’m telling you, I did such a good job shaving his head they had to mess it up more, right? Tell them,” Cooper insisted. “Tell them, Zach.” “Yes. That’s true,” Galifianakis said, relenting. “He did such a great job they had to mess up my hair more.” “Thank you,” Cooper said, sounding pleased to receive the recognition. Eminem Talks About His Transition To Acting On ‘RapFix Live’

Don’t miss Em’s Bad Meets Evil ‘RapFix Live’ interview with Royce Da 5’9″ on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Eminem Photo: MTV News Eminem ‘s transition from the studio to the silver screen was a successful one. His 2002 film “8 Mile” was critically acclaimed and took home some MTV Movie Awards. But for Marshall, going from rapper to actor wasn’t as easy. In fact, he said that some initial advice he had gotten from Ice Cube gave him a false sense of confidence. “I think Ice Cube said this one time; I think I heard him say this one time,” Em told Sway during their “RapFix Live” interview , which will stream on MTV.com on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. “If you can rap, if you can perform to the camera for singing and videos, it should be a pretty, fairly natural transition. “I felt like having heard him say that was like, ‘Oh, this may be fairly easy’ — and it wasn’t.” For Slim Shady, that wasn’t the case. “It’s a whole different thing, because you may be used to performing to the camera, but it’s a whole different ball game when the music is off and you have lines that you need to say. “It takes a minute to get used to.” Though there is no official word on when Eminem will return to the big screen in a starring role, the rapper has partnered up with fellow Detroit MC Royce Da 5’9″ for their upcoming Bad Meets Evil EP, Hell: The Sequel. Tune in to “RapFix Live” on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, when Eminem and Royce sit with Sway to talk about the making of the EP, the future of Shady Records and Eminem’s rap inspiration. 10 Awesome White Martial Artists In Movies Not Named Chuck Norris

There was a time when people equated martial arts with Asians. Can’t blame them really, as it was Bruce Lee who first made cinematic fighting look really good. But with the emergence of Chuck Norris , the most awesomest action hero ever of all time to the nth power, a lot of white boys have followed suit. While the likes of Jet Li and Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa are without a doubt still the best in the onscreen fighting business, movie martial arts are at least no longer their exclusive territory. Here are ten white dudes who picked up where Chuck Norris left off. 1. Ray Park At the age of 16, Ray Park was already a martial arts champion, and continued winning tournaments around the world as he grew older. He later did stunt work for films like Mortal Kombat . His portrayal of the Sith Lord Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace led to roles in other big movies, a number of them just as incognito as he is in the Star Wars prequel. His fighting skills, however, are there for everyone to see. 2. Jason Statham The Transporter trilogy made Jason Statham an action superstar, and rightly so. He looked and acted the part. In fact, in the hand-to hand combat scenes of a movie like the testosterone-laden The Expendables , he comes off as the toughest and the most hard hitting of them all. 3. Jeffrey Falcon Many fans know him from the cult favorite Six-String Samurai , but Jeff Falcon, a former member of the US Wushu Team, starred in a bunch of Hong Kong films during the late 80s and early 90s, most of them bad ones. The martial arts, however, was really good. 4. Steven Seagal In the 70s and early 80s, most martial arts movies featured either kung fu or karate. Then came Steven Seagal, who introduced the moviegoing public to Aikido via the 1988 movie Above the Law . While Seagal couldn’t act to save his life, he did make dispatching foes in such bone-crunching fashion look real cool on screen. 5. Jeff Speakman Yet another martial arts form was introduced to film in 1991 when Jeff Speakman starred in The Perfect Weapon . Speakman, an 8th dan in American Kenpo Karate, showed us how a combination of speed and power can kick an entire dojo’s ass. 6. Brad Allan The fact that he is the 1st non-Asian member of Jackie Chan’s stunt team speaks volumes about this diminutive martial artist’s abilities. A Wushu practitioner since the age of 14, Allan is also proficient in karate, aikido, boxing and kickboxing. He has appeared in a number of Jackie Chan’s movies, but his most memorable turn was in Gorgeous , where his fighting capabilities was put in full display with 2 action-packed sparring sessions with Jackie himself. He now works as a stunt coordinator for major Hollywood films like The Chronicles of Riddick, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, and most recently, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. 7. Scott Adkins Like many good martial artists, English actor Scott Adkins started appearing in action movies as some henchman or minion of the main villain, often getting his ass kicked in short order by the hero. He still was the villain in the direct to dvd sequel Undisputed II: Last Man Standing , but his role as Uri Boyka was an excellent showcase for his skills, and directly led to bigger jobs and eventually a starring role in the 2010 release Ninja. 8. Jean Claude Van Damme Jean Claude Van Damme is one of the few movie martial arts superstars who actually competed in full-contact karate and kickboxing tournaments, and was pretty good at it. His breakout film, Bloodsport , showcased much of Van Damme’s martial arts skills (and flexibility, doing splits like they were nothing). He soon became one of the biggest action superstars of the 80s and early 90s, with films like Kickboxer, Cyborg, Hard Target and Timecop . Aside from his ability to do compete splits, he is also well-known for his patented helicopter-style, jump spinning heel kicks. 9. Cyril Raffaelli If there’s a French movie that has some martial arts in it, chances are, Cyril Raffaelli is in it. A regular in Luc Besson films, Rafaelli’s skills extend beyond martial arts though, as he is a Parkour practitioner as well. The Banlieue 13 movies saw him do an awesome mix of Parkour and karate and wushu. However, his talents were showcased to a much bigger audience in Live Free or Die Hard , where he toyed with Bruce Willis, but was defeated anyway. It’s John McClane for cryin’ out loud. 10. David Belle The founder of Parkour, David Belle made jaws drop with his seemingly impossible feats of scaling, navigating and jumping off buildings in the quickest manner possible in the Banlieue 13 films. While his films didn’t really showcase much of his fighting skills, the chase scenes are especially astounding, right up there with the ones done by the likes of Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa. Some would even say he’s better. No nasty falls here. Bonus: White Guys Who Are Not Martial Artists But Kicked Ass In Movies Just the Same Liam Neeson The big guy has always looked good in his fight scenes, either in sword fights in films like Rob Roy or in light sabre duels as a Jedi Master in The Phantom Menace . But it was his brutally efficient manner of disposing of his daughter’s kidnappers in the 2009 surprise hit Taken that cemented Neeson’s reputation as a cinematic badass. There has been some debate on the kind of martial arts used by Neeson in this movie, but many agree it’s closest to Kali or eskrima, the same Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) based fighting style used in the Bourne movies. Matt Damon And speaking of the Bourne movies, Matt Damon had to undergo three months of intense martial arts and stunt work training. The result, of course, were some of the most brutal hand-to-hand fight scenes in film history.
