Justin Bieber In 3-D Is ‘Insane,’ Jimmy Fallon Says

‘Never Say Never’ star is up for Best Jaw Dropping Moment at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. By Jocelyn Vena Jimmy Fallon Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber is known for making his fans scream their heads off whenever he’s around, so it’s no surprise that he’s up for Best Jaw Dropping Moment at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards for his 3-D concert spectacular “Never Say Never.” When MTV News caught up with two-time MTV Movie Awards host Jimmy Fallon on the Universal Studios lot, just a stone’s throw from the Gibson Amphitheatre where Sunday’s show will take place, he explained Bieber’s jaw-dropping abilities. “Bieber is just so jaw-dropping because Bieber in 2-D is enough, [but] Bieber in 3-D? Hold on to your horses,” he said of the pop superstar, who is up against James Franco (“127 Hours”), Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page (“Inception”), Natalie Portman (“Black Swan”) and Steve-O (“Jackass 3D”). “It’s insane.” Fallon knows a thing or two about the Movie Awards, since he co-hosted with Kirsten Dunst in 2001 and returned solo in 2005. He’s pretty sure fellow “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Jason Sudeikis, who is tapped to host the show this year, has it in the bag when it comes to hosting. “It’s exciting. The Movie Awards are the most fun. Jason Sudeikis is a great host; he’s going to be great at it,” he said. “I’ve hosted in the past. I hosted with Kirsten Dunst. It’s just a blast. MTV just brings the fun back into movies.” Sudeikis may already know what he’s doing, but he did add some words of encouragement for his buddy: “Jason, you know what to do, buddy. Kick some butt over there.” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Find out June 5, when the 20th annual show airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Jason Bateman Warns Jason Sudeikis ‘Don’t Be Hungover’ At Movie Awards

‘Horrible Bosses’ co-star tells host Sudeikis to ‘Be all you’ on Sunday. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Jason Sudeikis Photo: Frank Micelotta/ PictureGroup Jason Sudeikis is obviously no stranger to the pressures of live TV. On Sunday, he’ll join a long list of “Saturday Night Live” stars who’ve hosted the MTV Movie Awards that includes Andy Samberg, Jimmy Fallon, Eddie Murphy, Mike Meyers and Dennis Miller. Nevertheless, Sudeikis told us he’ll be psyching himself up in the mirror in the moments before the show. Standing backstage with his “Horrible Bosses” co-star Jason Bateman shortly after an MTV News screening and Q&A of their comedy at the Pacific Design Center on Wednesday night, Sudeikis even offered to demonstrate some of the things he’ll be telling himself before the big show. “Remember to keep your eyes open, Jason! Nobody likes a mumbler. And, uh, ‘Got your nose!’ It’s like my catchphrase to myself. ‘Got your nose!’ ” “With a little wink?” Bateman asked. “He’s adorable!” All kidding aside, Bateman was confident that his buddy won’t need any extra coaching. “He doesn’t need any advice. This guy’s been good on his feet for years and years, that’s why he has the best job in show-business on ‘SNL.’ You people at MTV are very lucky to have him.” “We’ve kept a tight group,” Sudeikis said of his preparation process. “I’ve been very fortunate to have a lot of my friends and co-workers from ‘SNL’ helping out and they had a great group out here [in Los Angeles]. Mark Burnett, [the event producer], has been my boss in regards to this, and I’ve spoken with him twice and he’s been nice. No ‘horrible bosses’ at this point.” “Just don’t be hungover,” Bateman said, turning his eyes to Sudeikis. “Be all you. Just make sure you’re there and well rested, angel,” he added. Then he went in for a kiss ( you have to watch the video ). So what can we expect from the show? “I bet people will be screaming after certain movies are named,” Sudeikis offered. “I bet it will run exactly on time and I bet that … It’s very difficult [to predict]. Well, probably, I bet someone dies.” Bateman smiled. “That’s great! Tune in for some good death, Sunday night, MTV!” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? ‘Mortal Instruments’ Author Cassandra Clare Reacts To Jamie Campbell Bower Casting

Jamie Campbell Bower Photo: Tony Barson/ Getty Images “Mortal Instruments” actress Lily Collins has finally met her magical match in “Camelot” star Jamie Campbell Bower . Deadline Hollywood broke the news that Bower has been cast as demon-slaying Shadowhunter Jace Wayland in the big-screen adaptation of the first “Mortal Instruments” novel, “City of Bones.” Fans immediately took to Twitter to voice their reactions, with many concerned that the 22-year-old “Breaking Dawn” actor just didn’t look the way they imagined the character — described as a well-built, angelic-faced warrior. Yet, for Cassandra Clare, who’s penned four novels in the supernatural “Mortal Instruments” series, Bower couldn’t have been a better fit for the part. “His acting of the role is perfectly spot on,” she told MTV News of the audition footage producers sent her. In fact, Clare was so moved by the performance that she broke into tears. “I literally started crying because that was my Jace and Clary on the screen,” she said. Clare understands this sort of rabid (and often contentious) fan fervor, which has become par for the course for any YA novel getting the big-screen treatment. “I think this is sort of inevitable,” she said. “This is what happened with ‘The Hunger Games’ casting. This is what happened with ‘Twilight’ casting. I’m old enough to remember this is what happened with the ‘Harry Potter’ casting. The reaction is always worried because people feel very passionately about the books, and they just don’t want to see something that is going to mess it up for them.” And just as the naysaying died down after Jennifer Lawrence debuted her Katniss makeover for “Hunger Games” on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, Clare has a hunch that unconvinced fans will soon see things as she does. “I think in the same way that Jennifer Lawrence has transformed herself into Katniss, I think he will have no problem transforming himself into Jace,” she said. “One of the things about being an actor is that you’re a chameleon and you transform yourself. And actors have done amazing jobs transforming themselves in the past, and Jamie is really enthusiastic about the role.” Read our entire interview with “Mortal Instruments” author Cassandra Clare . ‘Breaking Dawn’ Is A ‘Fulfilling’ Finale, Jackson Rathbone Says

‘It really wraps up the story in such a beautiful way,’ the ‘Twilight’ star tells MTV News. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Jackson Rathbone Photo: MTV News There’s plenty of “Twilight” goodness to look forward to at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards , but what Jackson Rathbone is most looking forward to is the sneak peek of “Breaking Dawn” that his castmates Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will present during the big show. Rathbone shared his enthusiasm for the final two “Twilight Saga” films when we caught up with him on the set of his new film “Live at the Foxes Den,” describing the finale as “the culmination of this saga, and it really wraps up the story in such a beautiful way. We had the amazing [director] Bill Condon on, and I was very, very excited to play Jasper once again in these films and kind of step up.” Fans who have read the book know Jasper and his lady Alice (Ashley Greene) have a very significant role in the “Breaking Dawn” plot arc, but Rathbone said he was more excited to show off Jasper’s love and devotion to his family in the next two movies than he was for his beefed-up role. “There’s an amazing moment in ‘Breaking Dawn’ – I can’t say which movie, though. I’m sorry, I’m not technically allowed. But there’s a very fulfilling moment for myself as an actor and as a fan of the books and of the film series that you get to see, in the end, really how much these characters love one another and how much they function as a family, even though they are kind of an odd family of vampires. Vegetarian vampires, at that. They’re an odd bunch,” Rathbone said with a laugh. “But, I mean, the way they love and feel about each other and the way they protect and support one another I think is beautiful, so I think we’re going to get to see that happen in ‘Breaking Dawn.’ ” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Foo Fighters’ ‘Walk’ Video: ‘Falling Down’ All Over Again

New clip is a humorous take on intense 1993 Michael Douglas film. By James Montgomery Dave Grohl in Foo Fighters’ video for “Walk” Photo: RCA The Foo Fighters’ new “Walk” video is, rather oddly enough, a near re-creation of the 1993 film “Falling Down,” the oft-disturbing portrait of the prototypical “angry white male” (as portrayed by Michael Douglas, complete with crew cut and short-sleeved work shirt) who is pushed to the brink by what he views as society’s decay — immigrants, crime, greed, bureaucracy, the fact that McDonald’s stops serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m. — and goes on a violent rampage as a result, culminating in a stand-off with police and his death. Only, you know, funny. Yes, “Walk” — which premiered Thursday (June 2) on MTV.com — is a bit strange: a humorous take on a film that a) most people probably don’t remember, and b) wasn’t all that humorous in the first place. It opens with frontman Dave Grohl (who, besides his long hair, is a dead-ringer for Douglas’ Bill Foster with his horn-rimmed glasses and striped tie) stuck in a traffic jam of suck: a snotty kid stares at him from the back of a station wagon; bumper stickers proudly proclaim “Bieber is my Co-Pilot,” “Thank You, President Bush” and, rather hilariously, “Coldplay”; well-heeled jerks kick back in their cozy convertibles. And, much like Foster, he snaps, leaving his car on the freeway and beginning a trek across Los Angeles, carrying his guitar case with him. We then follow him as he is pushed closer and closer to the edge, thanks to an ever-extending chain of society’s annoyances: his iPhone dies, a clerk at a convenience store refuses to give him change to make a call and he can’t find a payphone. Of course, unlike “Falling Down,” Grohl’s reactions and his interactions are played up for comedic value. He doesn’t smash up a Korean-owned grocery store, shoot up a fast-foot restaurant or stab a white supremacist. Instead, there is a rather humorous karate fight with some gangbangers (fellow Foos Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett), and he drives a golf cart into a lake. And, unlike Bill Foster, Grohl’s voyage of carnage doesn’t end with a climatic showdown with police at Venice Fishing Pier, but rather at a Foo Fighters’ practice, where he and the band tear through the remainder of the song before the police come crashing in. Grohl gets tazed. The band poses for pictures with the officers. It is funny — and, unlike their “Rope” video , “Walk” looks like it cost a bit of cash — it’s just, well, odd. Those not aware of “Falling Down” will probably view this as another in a long line of funny Foos clips. But for those who’ve seen the film (which can be polarizing, to say the very least), it’s sort of impossible not to view “Walk” through the prism of the original. And that’s why it’s a weird thing to watch. Funny? Sure. A slightly odd choice? Most definitely. Then again, the Foo Fighters have long defied conventions, and with “Walk,” they continue down that path — with some silly costumes, of course. The Foos will perform “Walk” on the 2011 MTV Movie Awards , airing live Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Share your review of the “Walk” video in the comments below! Related Artists Foo Fighters

Jennifer Hudson Joins ‘Three Stooges’ Cast

The singer/actress will play a nun in the Farrelly brothers’ long-in-the-works movie based on the classic comedy trio. By Gil Kaufman Jennifer Hudson Photo: Getty Jennifer Hudson is headed back to the big screen, and you’ll never guess in which movie. The Oscar- and Grammy-winning singer/actress has been cast as a nun in the Farrelly brothers’ long-gestating film “The Three Stooges.” According to The Hollywood Reporter , Hudson will play one of the nuns in the orphanage where the Stooges spend some time as children alongside “Glee” star Jane Lynch, who has been cast as Mother Superior in the film. Hudson’s Sister Rosemary will be among a trio of nuns that reportedly will also include “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David. After years of false starts and attempts to reboot the classic eye-poking, head-bonking comedy franchise with stars such as Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro and Jim Carrey, the movie now is being headlined by the trio of Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamontopoulos. “The Three Stooges” is slated to hit theaters after Hudson’s already-filmed Winnie Mandela biopic, “Winnie.” Hudson has appeared in a number of other films since her star-making turn in 2006’s “Dreamgirls,” including “Sex and the City,” “The Secret Life of Bees” and the little-seen “Winged Creatures” (also known as “Fragments”). The Three Stooges, the dimwitted trio originated by Moe Howard, Curly Howard and Larry Fine, starred in nearly 200 shorts and movies from 1930 to Moe and Larry’s death in 1975 (Curly passed away in 1952), influencing countless comics along the way. With help from Curly replacements Shemp Howard, Joe Besser and Curly Joe DeRita, the comedy team explored the bromance long before the term was coined, loving and hating each other through numerous adventures that reimagined them as plumbers, soldiers, physicians and all-around numbskulls. Rather than being a biopic, the Farrellys have said in the past that their flick will be a modern-day take on the Stooges, most likely consisting of several short films within the movie.
